Disney updated Know Before You Go in several areas on April 26. Here are the changes I found:

Before Leaving Home
  • Removed reference to the virtual queue system to debark the ship at ports of call
  • Face covers are optional (used to be required) on motorcoach transportation and in the DCL terminal but may be required in ports of call
Debarkation
  • Removed Inspire Diagnostics pricing for tests.
  • Changed "disembarking" and "disembarkation" to "debarking" and "debarkation"
  • Removed section on face coverings being required in the terminal -- this is for Port Canaveral
Embarkation
  • Changed "disembarking" and "disembarkation" to "debarking" and "debarkation"
  • Removed reference to the virtual queue system to debark the ship
On the Ship
  • Removed the Deck Parties section -- no longer paused!
  • Edited Pirates Leage Makeover to say it is paused until Fall 2022 and to check back as more details become available.
Ports of Call
  • Removed reference to the virtual queue system to debark the ship
  • Face Coverings section was edited -- removed requirement while on the ship and changed to optional for many areas at Castaway Cay. Looks like there are areas of Castaway Cay that still require masking -- probably Bahamian requirements.
  • Removed Beaches section -- no longer physically distanced
  • Removed Cookie's BBQ section -- self serve is back

Please note that these are Disney's policies. Ports of call may have different requirements. For example, we are going to Canada and masking is still required for passengers 6 years and older for the entire duration of a flight arriving at or leaving from a Canadian airport.

Edited to add Canada April 27 changes:

They added language so say that you can include multiple travelers in your ArriveCAN submission only if they are within your family.

They removed the information related to a quarantine plan in Arrive CAN -- Canada no longer requires a quarantine plan.

Recent updates to ArriveCAN include:
  • Fully vaccinated travelers and children traveling with a vaccinated parent or guardian will no longer be required to provide a quarantine plan upon entry.
  • Fully vaccinated travelers and children traveling with a vaccinated parent or guardian will no longer be required to complete a pre-entry COVID-19 test for entry to Canada.

Face Coverings
Per the Canadian government, all travelers, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings throughout their entire travel journey while in Canada, including in cruise terminals, COVID-19 testing areas, airports and aircraft.
--I think this will surprise some people, since the US has dropped mask requirements on planes, transportation, terminals, etc.

So in Canada we only have to mask in the airport, cruise terminal, COVID testing place? Not when generally exploring Vancouver? Am I reading that correctly?

Not necessarily. The province-wide requirement is just for those places, but private businesses in Vancouver may still require it.

Mostly, yes. The mask mandate for businesses etc has been dropped in BC though some businesses may still ask you to wear one. Since the mask mandate was dropped here, however, I have not come across one business that is still asking for them.

Not even a sign on the door..?

Does anyone know how and where we get tested ( and what type of test) to get back into the US when flying from Vancouver.

There are 3 main options: Safe Passage, buying a proctored test to administer yourself, or at the airport. You can use a rapid antigen or PCR (but all of these options are rapid tests).

When you log into Safe Passage at 15 days, I am expecting there to be an option to purchase a test. The Hawaii cruise just left yesterday, so we'll know more in a few days on how Safe Passage worked for people.

I have pre-purchased airport testing - see https://www.disboards.com/threads/f...-at-cvm-medical-in-yvr.3882272/#post-63988693. I might switch once we hear how Safe Passage is working.

I think a lot of people use BinaxNOW for proctored testing.

I just read a trip report on RC blog and the lady used the Emed test used her phone as a hot spot on the last day at sea and took her test. She also reported that there were many people in the web cafe on the ship doing that also on the last day using another site azova. That’s what I think my family is going to do but please please please let that be dropped by august.
