trying to find extras, so that I could get free shipping on items over $49.99, I was put through an endless loop, and had my paypal account charged at least 4 times! Try to contact them by email, and it doesn't go through. I'm going to wait until tomorrow, and contact them by phone. No wonder I haven't had the actual courage to enter a store - kmart prices mean kmart service. No more poormart for me!

I'm sorry you had a bad time dealing with Kmart. I never go there. I like going to Walmart. I hope you have a better shopping experience elsewhere. :flower3:

I feel your pain! I had a similar situation with their "sister store" Sears.com. They promised free shipping but once I got the charges, they said I had ineligible items (and I'd read the fine print & they weren't exceptions to free shipping). Then I spent at least 45 minutes on the phone with customer service, got NOTHING accomplished by wasting my time on the phone... wasting the hour I could've really used by taking a nap or eating a meal (it was only a couple of weeks after giving birth to my son and it was while he was taking his morning nap). Needless to say, I haven't shopped there since.

Use a credit card rather than a debit card or a kitty account like Paypal.

This way you can dispute the charges after just a short time on the phone and the store will have to send an explanation.

Well, KMart had no record of the transaction, so I called paypal, and got the charges off of my credit card. What kills me is the amount of hours wasted!

I never, ever shop at K Mart. My local store is always extremely dirty, the shelves are a mess with stuff scattered on the floor and in the aisles and the cashiers are just plain scary. I don't know how they stay in business.

Seriously! I went into a kmart a couple years ago looking for a storage system for kids toys. I got the thing home and it had dead roaches all over it and some sort of yellow/brown gunk all over the items!! Talk about nasty! I saw the box was kinda beat up but I didn't expect that. Guess I should have known by how dirty the floors were. That was returned asap... and that was my one time visit to kmart. Yuck

Last year I found a LaLaLoopsy doll DD wanted in stock on Kmart's website. It was one of those hard-to-find ones that were going for triple and quadruple regular retail price on Ebay. I was thrilled to find it, after looking and looking for weeks. So, I ordered it. When the box came it contained a Barbie doll. :headache:

I don't know how you can walk into a Kmart on one side of the country, and looks exactly like one on the other coast. Always dirty, always messy, and always rude employees. Although it took quite a while for one in Ft Lauderdale to go down hill. We used to go in there to get fresh Little Ceasers pizza.

I still can't believe a crap company like that would buy out a name like Sears. You'd think Sears would have better people higher up. I still shop at Sears at the mall, but Kmart is avoided like the plague.

The one near me has been there forever and is still pretty clean and neat. I only go there once every few months or so but the only problem I've ever had with them is that they NEVER have enough check-out lanes open.

It got worse - I really wanted one of the items (the rest I was just getting to get free shipping, stocking stuffers), so I tried again yesterday. Put in all of the information, addresses, phone numbers, credit card number, gc number, hit submit, and everything just got erased. So I actually called. I got someone on the phone to submit the order for me, gave him the first item number (like 20 digits long!), and after about 5 minutes, he tells me the price, and it's $20 more than what I'm looking at on the website. I get put on hold for another 5 minutes, he tells me to call back in an hour.

Stupid me won't give up. Later on, try to do the online order again. Put in all of the information, hit submit, and the website states that one of the items (the one I really wanted) was no longer in stock (even though the website still lets you put it in your cart).

Never, and I mean never, again!

This is mine too, not to mention, their prices are sky high compared to Wal Mart or Target.

We can't get anything delivered to our homes, I seriously doubt that Kmart could handle something as complicated as delivering to a hotel! ;)

I used to work for K-Mart many moons ago. It makes me sad, and a little angry, to see how they have let their stores fall into such a state of disrepair.

We used to have 6 stores in the area, but all but 1 of them have been closed. The last time I was there, it looked horrible. Freight all over the place with no associates in site. Merchandise just thrown all over the place. You would think with the economy the way it is, and people looking to save money, they could do incredible business. But who wants to shop in a mess?

OP--Stop torturing youself. Try Walmart or Target for what you need.
