Has anyone flown with KLM to Florida before?

If so were they an okay carrier? Any bad points to them?

Many thanks.

Which route is it. KLM sell a lot of flights but only a few on their own planes via Amsterdam, they also codeshare and sell a lot for Delta via Atlanta, NWA via Detroit(although they have merged with Delta now so could be Delta plane) and Airfrance via Paris.
We flew with NWA last Oct via Detroit, best transatlantic we have ever done.
Flying with Delta this August but all these routes can be bought with KLM.

I'm not 100% sure what route it's taking.

Someone directed me to a website with some fab prices (might post the link to see if anyone has used them before booking) and the prices have come up flying from London - Orlando with KLM.

Post website and dates of travel I will look and let you who it is with

Thanks Wayne.

Just had a 2nd look at for an extra £100 or maybe £200 there is an option to fly with BA or VA.

Here's the website (have you ever heard of them?)

http://www.holidaygenieflorida.com/

I put dates in for 18th April x 2 weeks 2 x Adults & 1 child.

I'm just a tad nervous at the prices lol - loads cheaper that elsewhere.

Heard of them but never used them because they are usually expensive.

Is it London to fly from?
For 18th April 2 week, 2 ad & 1 ch from london

Ok, just found who they are using its a KLM booking but with NWA, its exactly the same route as we did last Oct so I am sure it will be NWA, but as I said they have now merged with Delta so chances are its a Delta plane but can't be certain.

Do a search with Opodo.co.uk you will get the same flights for £824.10 (less 1.7% cashback if you book via Quidco.com)
HolidayGenie was showing £ 1055 is that what you had?

Or ebookers.com have Virgin or BA direct under £1,200 total. (they pay 1.4% cashbcak thru Quidco.com)

Let me know if I have any details wrong.

Just reading about Holiday Genie's car, I thought it would not include any insurance but it says something about 7 night inclusive, not very clear you would need to confirm what is included, If you have to buy another 7 nights with insurance it will probably be cheaper going with the flight only deals I posted and getting your own car.

Another site is Majortravel.co.uk they have USairways flights via Carlotte for £786.00 they are from Gatwick.

Thanks for the info Wayne - it was the packages I was looking at last night - it was coming it at around £1700 (give or take a few £'s) for the 3 of us - 2 weeks in a Villa I thought it was a very good price (or is it? lol)

Arrgghh it's all so hard finding the best deals lol.

Not really my field Villas, we prefer a hotel, stayed in villa once, not our thing, also stayed in a 2 bed condo last at Windsor Hills last Easter, prefer hotel around LBV area, far easier and central, get my bed made and breakfast included. If you are looking to get price down Villa will be difficult for 3 people, they are usually from around £400/week but totally depending on size and location, hotel costs us around £400 for 2 weeks for 2 adults a 1 child.
I would look at prices for booking Villa yourself and the flights I quoted above. If I ever booked a villa again it would be direct thru a site like VRBO so I can see which I am going. Don't know how Holiday Genie works for villas.
Also look at things like Pool heating, can make it very expensive when there are only 3 of you.

Yeah I guess your right about the extra charges with pool heating etc - it's just ideally we'd like to stay in a condo/appt type set up - out of interest I did the same dates staying on IDrive and it's coming out at the same price.

It's not easy this booking Disney lark is it

No its not easy, gets easier when you have done 20+ trips:goodvibes

Travelrepublic have a 2 bed condo at Windsor resorts for £689, add to flights from £786, Tota; £1,475.

Holidaynights have a 3 bed townhouse at £610 at Club Cortile.

You will just have to price up doing with HolidayGenie and compare with booking seperate.

If it was me I would take the £789 flights and book Country Inn and Suites LBV for £414, total £1,203 but everyone like different places.
