Kitchenaid Stand Mixer - Favorite or Most Used Attachment

I probably would never use the meat grinder attachment unless it became impossible to buy ground beef. It did cross my mind at the beginning of the pandemic when ground beef was scarce, but the stores have it now.

I have one of the scraper blades! My sister sent it to me a few years ago. I use it the most!!

I don’t own any other kitchen gadgets except for a blender that’s on its last leg. That’s why I’m considering the grater/slicer. I used to have a Salad Shooter grater/slicer but it broke years ago. Also saw a food processor attachment. I wonder how good it is?

Years ago I coveted the pasta maker attachment, but it was so expensive. Honestly I’m confused about all the different blades. Some sets come with one, some with 5. Do you use all of them? Is there a beginners set? Haha! Would I even use it???
I have the meat grinder/vegetable strainer combo. I have yet to use it for meat. It provides ds14 preferred consistency for salsa. The instruction pamphlet (you can download on Kitchenaid.com) has other ways to use it, but I can’t think of them right now :rolleyes1

I have both pasta attachments. It is a lot harder to get the correct dough consistency for the extruder.

I like the spiralizer and was more than happy to let my mixer do the work, especially with hard veg. I do have issues with my left side that make a counter spiralizer difficult.

I love, love, love the food processor attachment with the adjustable slicer. Note, I never had a Cuisinart. I got a cheap food processor when I got married that died and went without one for years before my grandmother got me the attachment as her last Christmas present for me. I gave away the old version slicer/shredder when I got the processor as it accomplishes those skills as well.

I like to cook. I like kitchen gadgets. I love my Kitchenaid. I have way more attachments than most would consider necessary; most would consider them wasteful...I don’t know that I have ever paid “retail” from W-S, SLT or department stores. Even when a new attachment comes out I want, I usually wait until a promo period. They happen multiple times a year.

Our daughter has one and took it with her when she moved out last summer. I bought my wife one for Christmas, and she is dying to make bread with the hook, but alas, no yeast in the stores.

I have had a KitchenAid for about 40 years....two years ago I got a new one (the old one still worked but I wanted a different one). Actually sold my old one. I have used mine just about everyday over the years. I use it for meatloaf, chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, whipped cream and for all types of baking. I rarely hand mix anything. I use the paddle attachment the most. I did buy the O.J. juicer attachment and used it a few times but it is sitting in the back of the cabinet and hasn't been used in years. I keep my mixer out on the counter all the time but push it back into the corner when not using.

My other favorite appliance is the my immersion blender. I have this one....

Okay I love kitchen gadgets but this is a little ridiculous even for me. You can accomplish the same thing with a whisk, sieve and regular kitchen scale (did it today actually) for like ten bucks without the hassle. She looked like she was struggling with it too.
