Going home for the first time at SSR in October. I'm trying to plan to cook a few meals in the room to save some dining money. I was wondering if there are collanders in the room (for mac & cheese or spaghetti) and some type of griddle or flat pan for pancakes? I also think I read somewhere that there is a blender (for adult refreshments)? And what about a toaster?

Please confirm - I LOVE the planning stage!

I assume you are talking about a 1bdrm or larger. There is definitely a collander. There is at least one skillet but no griddle. I get confused about the blenders. Some dvc have them, some not. I do know we were once at a DVC, somewhere, that did not have a blender, but one was brought to us when we asked. Sorry I don't remember where.

We didn't have a blender in our 1 bedroom at OKW in May but we had some frying pans for doing pancakes and a strainer for Kraft Dinner and a toaster was also in the kitchen.

Last April in a two bedroom at OKW we had a collander, a frying pan &, I believe, a blender. The one thing we didn't have was a pan to put the pizzas on. There was a drip type pan in the oven, so we used it.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I am referring to a 2BR at SSR. I had read somewhere else that there was a blender (great!) so I think I'm set there, but just want to be sure I can cook some pasta and pancakes (apparently my kids are on the all-carbs diet!!)

We have always had a blender at OKW, but if there is not one when you arrive, call Mousekeeping, and they will bring you one. They will also bring you a mixer if needed.
