My DD is going to be celebrating her 13th birthday at WDW and is requesting our family of 6 share a kitchen sink. Last time we were there it had coffee ice cream and mint chocolate chip in it. We don't like those 2 but did like the others that were in it. Can you request to substitute the flavors you don't like for those you do?

I don't see why not - it's not as if (ideally, anyway ;)) they have a bunch of Kitchen Sinks sitting around, completed, just waiting to be ordered. I can't think of a single reason why they'd refuse to substitute flavors.

KS is a family tradition of ours, we get it every time we go to Disney and every time with no coffee ice cream. Never had any problem. Actually some of the family likes coffee ice cream, but it just doesn't seem to go (IMO). Have fun, KS is one of our favorite things to do in Disney....

We also custom ordered ours with no coffee ice cream and substituted vanilla. It was NO problem at all!

I'm so glad this question was asked and answered. I'd been wondering about this, since we'll finally have enough people on our upcoming trip to order one and actually finish it!

So, how many people does it take to finish a Kitchen Sink?

There are only 3 of us going, but the girls really want to get this because it looks like so much fun.....ok, the truth is they want it because it has a ton of toppings on it too.

Price wise it's gonna be a wash between getting the Kitchen Sink or getting 3 separate sundaes......so we'll probably do it, but geez I can feel the brain freeze already trying to eat all that ice cream!

We have been to WDW several times and did not know about the KS. DD will be turning 5 on our next trip and would LOVE this. Please oh please let me know where to find it.

You can find the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream.

As far as how many to finish it, it may be like the Tootsie Roll Pop question. The world may never know :rotfl:

We had a party of 6 who ate the Kitchen Sink after our meals and we didn't finish it. Not for lack of wanting to, but it was an issue of physical space in our stomachs. :teeth:

My DH is allergic to strawberries so when we told them he can't have the strawberry ice cream or anything with strawberries they didn't have an issue at all with removing it.

We are going Christmas Vacation to have one of these things....It is on the list of things we have to do.:cool1: It is nice to know that we can change out the ice cream for one that is favored by all. Thanks for the info.:thumbsup2 And good luck to all that order it. Good eating.....

The kitchen sink is only the most fun you will have eating icecream----ever!!!! It is a huge sundae with every topping you could want including a can of whipped cream, a jars worth of cherries, whole Oreos, brownies, EVERYTHING including the kitxhen sink! (It is served in a "Sink"). We go every visit to Disney. There are 7 of us, my family (listed below) and grandma and grandpa. We always finish it, even the sloppy mess at the end, but that is our lunch for the day. We have a light breakfast, that for lunch, and a healthy dinner at Chef Mickey's that night (our family tradition for Thanksgiving every other year!) It is yummy and fun (I won't spoil it for you so you are surprised if you go.) We love it, we have photos of the before and after every trip including our kids "washing their hands" in the sink at the end--- -too cute!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THANKSGIVING, this is making me hungry and excited!!!!:yay:

We had one last year at Blizzard Beach. Our family of 5 loved it and plan on doing it again this year. I remember we even omitted some topping and changed ice cream flavors. No problems.

I remember we had a lot of comments from people asking where we bought it as we were eating it. It was fun to all share!

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club resort. It's right by Stormalong Bay.

So, how many people does it take to finish a Kitchen Sink?

The menu says that its for 4 but more or less people leave it or finish it. It really depends on how hungry you are! We've seen a party of 2 with it, but they left a lot. We also saw several parties of 3 order them. Not sure if they finished it or not!

Do you have to have an ADR at Beaches and Cream or can you just walk in and get one????

That is one of the awesome things about Beaches and Cream - they only take walk ups!

Just walk up at a less popular time to eat - otherwise the wait can be quite long.

From what I see on this board it's going to take a minimum of 5 HUNGRY adults to finish a KS. Doesn't mean that you must finish, but if that's the question, that'd be my answer.:earsboy:

Interesting question... many, many, many, many years ago, back when I was in high school - wayyyyy Epcot, Beach Club, Beaches & Cream - there was a place up here where you could get a Kitchen Sink. Now, unlike Disney, it didn't come in a replica of a sink but... one night, four of us left a party, drove over there, ordered one, ate as much as we could, brought the rest back to the party - and it STILL never got finished!

Unless something has changed recently, the only place to get the Kitchen Sink is at Beaches and Cream---it is (described on AllEars)
Kitchen Sink - scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee and mint chocolate chip, smothered in every topping we have $21.99

The sundae in BB at Sled Dog Expeditions is (described on AllEars)
Garbage Pail - chocolate and vanilla ice cream, waffle pieces, sprinkles, cookie pieces, hot fudge, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry $8.99

On the same order, but I didn't want anyone to be looking all over BB for the one served in a sink. Both very yummy, but you can tell the size difference based on the price difference.

We went last Dec, with our family of four. We weren't able to finish it, but something very cool happened. DD12 was approached by our waitress, and told her help was needed. The server filled up all of the ice cream scoops and toppings, then let DD put all of the toppings and whip cream on herself. It was definitely a highlight of her trip. We took lots of pictures of her creating her "masterpiece".
