Kitchen sink - can you order without PB?

DS is allergic to peanuts. Can you order this without the peanut butter and nuts? Also, what flavor ice creams come in it? Does anyone know the ingredients? Do any of the candy bars have peanuts?

Certainly, Beaches N Cream would accommodate your specific needs. However, IMO the whole Kitchen Sink thing is a disgusting, gloppy mess--full of "everything in the kitchen sink"--cakes, jellied candies (if I remember correctly)...really an AWFUL combination. Our five boys were sicker than dogs after sharing one.

Much, much better? The Earthquake at Ghirardelli in DD. You choose the scoops of ice cream and it's toppings. Perfect!

Personally I think the kitchen sink sounds pretty disgusting too...but to help the OP, based on a prior post I believe the candy bars do contain nuts.

You would need to be very specific when ordering that no products containing nuts should be included...and you need to watch what they give you. There was also a prior post from someone who ordered this way and found that all nut products had not been removed from the sundae.

We ordered one this time when we went to Disney, when the lady took our order she asked if we had any allergies to anything. I am sure if you told them about the allergy that they would accomodate you.
BTW we loved it!!!!

We're doing this on our next trip. I hate PB and nuts... so I hope we definitely can get it without!

Although we haven't tried it yet, I posted a similar question here one time. Ours is not an allergy issue but a tastebud issue. I was told by several DISers that you can customize it however you want: leave things out, substitute ice cream flavors, etc. If you look on youtube, there are several videos of other people getting it so you can see the goopy mess for yourself.

Completely agree. People on this board regularly post pictures of disgusting, germ-filled, half-eaten food, and I don't flinch. But seeing the "after" photo of a Kitchen Sink makes me feel physically ill. Just thinking about the ice cream soup at the bottom of that monstrosity is making my stomach churn.

Just how sensitive is he? Remember that nuts are served on lots of the desserts there. Do you need to worry about the table having had nuts on it and not being thoroughly scrubbed? What about railings or chairs?

If you tell them that it's an allergy I would think they would do the same thing as every other restaurant and prepare yours with fresh scoopers out of fresh buckets just to be safe that there's no cross contamination. Talk to them to be sure.
