Here's my advice... worth the price of admission alone.
When you visit character's the CM with them is really only interested in getting you through, and the next guest in. But, you CAN take your time, and talk to the character, and they will interact back.
My kids like to ask them things related to their stories. My daughter asked Belle is she read any good books lately.
My son sang "Wanna be like you" to King Louie - and they did the orangutan walk together.
My wife asked Mary Poppins "How do you measure up?" and also had her say "Supercalafradjalisticexpialodocious" backwards.
I told Mickey that "every time I come visit you it costs me a lot of money, and it's time you come to see me for a change"
I told Pocohontas my daughter sang "Colour of the Wind" in her choir, Pocohantas asked her to sing it for her.
Have fun with it. The characters love the interaction. It beats getting an autograph, doing a generic pose, and moving on.
Oh, and while you do all this, hand YOUR camera to the CM, and they will capture all these moments for you.
