Ok, I know we discussed this before but I need a new comforter set and can't find any I like. I know that they break the bank when you buy one so I want to love it.

I found this one and it's a 12 piece set. I really like it but don't love it...

Girls, do you have any suggestions? I want to see them all.

Help

Try www.domestications.com

I've never ordered from them, but they send me their catalogues and seem to have a ton of selection.

I've purchased my past three or four comforters from JC Penney's, and have been pleased with their quality.

I really like that one...where did you find that?? :)

I like that one. It "looks" like it's a quality set. Domestications has some cute sets, but their quality isn't too good. I change comforter sets often, so I buy from Domestications knowing that I'll only use the set for 3-4 months. Another place to try is brylanehome.com but their quality is similar to Domestications.

I love it, may i ask were you purchased it at.

I have a king size set from Domestications that I used for over 5 years and I am still using the curtains and tablecloth in the guest room. I think the quality is fine. I liked the set so much that when we moved I ordered it in full size for the guest room and used all the accessories that I already had.

I'm looking for king-sized bedding too. We just bought new bedroom furniture, and now nothing looks right - i.e. the former owner's wallpaper and carpeting.

So - I want to get new bedding to help determine the colors for the room.

I was on the Needless Markup (Neiman Marcus) website today, and while they had nice stuff, I couldn't believe that duvet covers could cost as high as $1300.

$1300 is a little (OK alot) out of our price range. But - I was only over ther for ideas. I'll have to take a look at the domestications site.

Yup, it's Penney's and I am seriously thinking about getting it. I'm not a big fan of Domestications.

I was just looking for other suggestions. ;)

TheCompanyStore.com has a lot of nice stuff. I also think Domestications is good quality.

I really like the origal posters set. It looks so neutral and would go with just about anything.

I have had good luck on Home shopping network and www.linensource.com

Dab nab it, I had to edit for spelling again.

Here are a few I really like, especially the first one. I saw it in person at Macys and it's much nicer than the picture! I like color!

Oh, I love those, Steph.

This is the one I had my eye on at Macy's but SO would KILL me if I spent over $1000 for bedding.

I love it though.

Guys: I'm gonna go ahead and order the set in the first post. Thanks for your input!

UGGH...

Based on one of the suggestions - I looked at JC Penneys on line. Found something I really liked on sale for $99 for the comforter, dustruffle, and shams.

THEY DON'T HAVE THE COLOR I LIKE. :confused3 Which is the color IMARI - Which is the one on the bed.

In case anyone is interested...bedding that I liked ~ it would've been great

you might also want to look at overstock.com. They had some cute ones there the other night. Good luck!

Ok, girls, I ordered this exact one...

but now I need curtains. They don't have matching. Any suggestions? I'm kinda looking to go very neutral so if I decided to change the comforter set (heaven forbid) I don't have to worry about curtains. The ones I have now match the set I have on the bed and won't work with the new set.

Help

I know this is too late for the OP, but I've started using neutral colored flat sheets to cover my king down comforter. I put the the sheet with the "fancy" border on first, then the duvet, then the "plain" sheet. I fold the bottom sheet over the top, and put the pillows, shams, and colored/patterned throw pillows on top. I've also seen a length of patterned fabric (hemmed) folded at the foot of the bed to add more color.

This way I can change the colors without spending a lot of money. It also makes it easy to clean the duvet "cover" every week or more frequently.
