King bed - booking category or request at values/mods?

Contemplating a short trip in the fall at a value or moderate resort. Can we book a king bed room or is it a request only? We'd be ok in a queen but not a double so that would greatly influence our choice of resort!

TIA!

I believe you can book a king room at moderate resorts but it is only a request at value resorts. Value resorts have doubles if you do not get the requested king room. If you need at least a queen bed then book a moderate.

I have a room only reservation booked at French Quarter and there was a specific request for a King Size. It cost a little more than a standard room though so I guess it depends on how much that matters to you? It also said that the view would be garden or courtyard so I felt the extra cost was worth it then.

I also think all moderates are now Queen size beds at least? When we stayed at Riverside this past February we had two queens.

I know it is its own room category at POFQ.
At the values its a request (and I believe many are ADA Rooms and so there seem to be just a few available) and I'm not sure about the other moderates.

Own category at Moderates. We have a King Room booked for FD at CBR.

It's a bookable category at the mods and a request at the values.

When DH and I stayed at Pop, we did request and receive a king bed room, but I don't think there are very many of them.

If you must have at least a queen, then you should book a moderate. The values have only full size beds in the rooms that don't have kings.
