King bed at Riverside?

Hi everyone,

Vacation without a King sized bed sounds like not the best idea to me or my SO.

We've did the cabins at Ft.W the last trip, and they only had a Double bed, and we managed but we would have been more comfortable in at least a Queen bed.

We want to stay at Port Orleans - Riverside, in Alligator Bayou and then switch to the Mansions, to try both, this fall.

How do we get a reservation with a guaranteed King sized bed?

If we can't get the bed, we'll just stay one night and then go to a Deluxe.

It befuddles me that any offsite hotel for $149 a night rack rate DEFINITELY will give you a King bed. I wonder sometimes what Disney is thinking.

Actually at any moderate you can reserve a King bed, while it's a request at the Deluxe's.

The price for a King room at POR or POFQ is the same as the cost of a room 'with a view'. I believe the Kings are only in the Mansions area, but I'm not entirely sure on this.

You know you have been married for 10 yrs when you enter a hotel room with two double beds.... and you say... "which one is yours??" ;)

We actually look forward to our own beds!! LOL
