You can have up to 5 kindles on your account

Anyone on your account can order books, as many as they want

To share books, go to Manage Your Kindle and when you are signed in you can see the books and send to another kindle

If you give the others your password, they can be in your account and do everything you can do

I would suggest doing this ONLY with people you trust with your money.

You can remove a kindle and add a kindle, up to 5.

I have 2 other Kindles on my account with people I trust implicitly. It is under my account and they send me amazon gift cars occassionally. They keep track on their own and it works out. I read the most, they are more casual readers.

Oh i didn't realize you can share! Thats pretty good.

Something else i just learned.. If you have an iphone or itouch, you can get the kindle app and actually read your books on your phone without bringing your kindle out in public. more convenient when waiting at the Dr's office.

Actually - you can have as many Kindles (or other devices such as Kindle for PC, iPhone, iTouch etc) as you want on your account. The rights holder to the books (usually the publisher) can set a license limit to how many devices each book can be downloaded to, this is usually 5 but sometimes different.

You can put a Kindle on your account, download books to it, and then remove the Kindle from the account. The books will stay on the Kindle until the user removes them but they do use one of the licenses.

If the Kindles remain registered on the account they can purchase books.
