Kinder Eggs

We have them here where we live. They sell them for every occasion and for every day consumption.

The ones that I have seen are usally small pieces that need to be put together making a small toy.

There are two types of toys - collectable figurines, and toys one has to build and can then play with

the best toys are in the German ones. Who knew?
I did! :lmao:

As someone mentioned, Ferrero makes Kinder chocolate, along with Nutella. HOWEVER did you know that the Nutella sold in the United States is not like the Nutella we buy in Germany or Italy? it has a different texture and ingredients. The one sold in Canada is more like the European version. We have a long Nutella thread on flyertalk.com discussing how and where to buy the 'real' Nutella.

Offer still stands if you need to PM me - I think that I can get them to you more quickly and less expensively than Sandra, sleepy, and the others that offered.... I have my ways to get my hands on European chocolate quickly and relatively cheaply! ;)

Russian stores/delis often sell them if you happen to know where one is. IKEA maybe? And the person who mentioned Cost Plus World Market may be on to something. DD loves these things! When we went to Belgium and The Netherlands, the promise of one of these for dessert after dinner could induce her to behave like an angel all day long. :rotfl2: Some of the toy inside are amazingly intricate! You've given me a great idea for an Easter surprise. :thumbsup2

In 36 minutes, I can leave work, and I'll go by the grocery store then to buy eggs!

OK, I just realized something strange...

The person who PMd me to get the eggs is not someone who posted on this thread???

:rotfl2: You made a new friend! I was willing to go egg shopping at lunch time and actually mail them FROM the US but nobody PM'd me, so no eggs are being sent!!! :rolleyes1

I have never heard of these before but Im interested. How many are in a package, price and etc.

Thanks!

You can buy them per piece, in packages of 3, ... I have no clue about the price, but I would guess... 1 EUR a piece?

A friend brought some back for my girls last year from Iceland. I had never heard of them before, and the kids really got a kick out of them. But these were a little different in that they had a licorice-type candy inside.

I was curious too, I looked at the Canadian website but it would have been $42 total to ship them to me. That is more than I can put into an easter basket if I want to go back to Disney.

I think that is about right. In Canada I have seen them in the dollar stores, I believe.

As teens we would buy them for our special friends a few times a week; either that or a real Mozartkugel - both were under 1 DM so I suspect that they are about 1 Euro now.

Personally, I can't stand the chocolate but I always like the toys!

I would love to get the ones that have the Simpson's toys. They would make a great surprise for my DH. I will send PM's.

you made me very excited with that link..... until I found nothing I needed in stock or even on the site - but thank you! they do have Kinder eggs however

Oh, that's too bad. Let me tell you, their red lager beer bratwurst are amazing! We won't eat any other brats besides those.

I tried getting Kinder Surprise Eggs here for a friend who had spent a year living in Scotland and grew to love them. I looked in a store at the Tropicana casino in Atlantic City, sure that they would have them, because they have all sorts of foreign and bizarre foods and candies. Nope, didn't have them. They had the Kinder Bueno and another one, but no eggs. Shoprite carries the regular ones that don't have surprises inside. I was sad. :(
