Anyone know where I can buy these online to get shipped to the US? I've done some searching, but most links turn up dead. :( I would love to get some before Easter!!

Thanks!

funny you ask! I was in a chocolate shop in the US last week buying some of my hard to find outside of Germany chocolate. The clerk was excited to hear that I was German, and asked me all kinds of questions about prices, etc.

she told me that the markup on Kinder eggs is very high as they are extremely difficult to ship without the eggs breaking.

I didn't realize that you couldn't buy them in the US. Have you checked Cost Plus World Market? they sell a lot of foreign chocolate. (edited to add I just discovered that they are banned in the US?!)

The German Deli sells them online http://www.germandeli.com/fekisu.html but they are out of stock of a lot of items right now

if you get stuck and need some send me a PM - I can most likely help

We used to live in upstate NY and could get them from Canada. (BTW, my research has taught me more than I ever needed to know about Kinder eggs. Apparently the ones in Canada are actually from Italy and the best toys are in the German ones. Who knew?! ) My kids have gotten them from time to time, love the chocolate, and just think the little toys are the neatest things! I think it stinks that we can't get them here, and apparently it's really hard to even get them shipped here! Yes, the kids like the chocolate, but of course that's not the only thing. :) I see we can buy the kinder chocolate "sticks" on Amazon- but we want the EGGS! :)

There were some in the Russian deli here last month. DD loves them.

I know of two places. Unfortunatly, they are both in IL- Bobaks (Chicago area) and World Gourmet Foods (Central IL).

I'm always willing to send you some (currently there is a commercial on television saying they have special collectible figures from The Simpsons in them - among all the other toys), the only thing is: I am not sure they will not break.

I guess I could put them in those cardboard things real eggs come in, and fill the rest of the box up with those foamy chips (we have so many of them from all the collectibles I bought on eBay).

PM me if you need help.

I am used to ship Belgian chocolates to the US, just never shipped eggs. And yes, Ferrero, the company who makes the eggs and also Nutella, is Italian :)

We have a ton of Kinder products here, but I couldn't help you anymore than Bavaria could. It probably wouldn't even get to you in time if I mailed it Priority (more expensive) today.

I can get you some here. I have no problem with shipping them to you and will only have to pay American Shipping prices. We can work out payment through paypal if you like. The only bad thing is that I buy them in pounds so they will be a bit expensive--but you will get what you want and by Easter!! Give me a PM

Try some small 'mom and pop' type delis. That's where I see them around here.

Are they really banned? I know of a couple of delis that always have them.

Never knew what they were so I googled them and I read that the FDA banned them in 1997 due to the choking hazard. The FDA does not endorse edible products with non-edible items inside it is how I understood it.

There is a store about a half hour away from me that gets them in from time to time. They do ship, I don't know about the eggs. I'm sure she would try. Email her, her name is Laura.

Well, kuddos to the person who can swallow the yellow "egg" that contains the toy. That thing is... big!

I have seen them in italian deli's in RI. These are so yummy and yes the toy inside is really small. My DMIL is from Rome and she has family there so we get kinder eggs several times a year. I think I might be drooling :upsidedow

I have never heard of these before, but man are they cool! My little cousins would love them!

In the gg is another, plastic egg, that holds the toy. It isn't small. I may not even think about swallowing it! :scared:
