Kinda gross - need advice. My poor toe!

How funny!

The night after the 1/2 marathon my big toe on my left foot was so sore from the rubbing of my toes, but I also hit it on the sidewalk when I fell down the contemporary hill.

My toe hurt so bad that night that I had to sleep with my toe dangling out of the covers because it even hurt to have the covers hit it.
I could barely walk the day I flew home (Tuesday).

Since then, 1 of my toenails have fallen off. A semi sort of nail is growing in its place. The big toe that I mentioned above is hollow under the nail. If I hit my nail with my finger it makes a very hollow sound. The nail is dead and sounds different than the other nail on my big toe on the right foot. That one is a lighter brown, but it sounds "alive" and not hollow.

Stepharoonie- This happens when your nail rubbs or hits the front of the shoe. I got a lot of damage to the two second toes prior to the marthon and had more damage the day of the race. They really hurt at first, but the pain goes away. I still need to get new shoes though. I would like to do that before my 1/2 marathon in April. I need to do it soon so I can train with it.
