kinda far from orlando..but has anyone been to ft. lauderdale lately?

We are taking DS for his 11th bday on a quicky trip to ft. lauderdale only four nights, we are at the sheraton yankee clipper. since I have never been there I was wondering if anyone knew any "must do's" thanks Ann

Go to Las Olas, the downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants.

Take the boat tour of all of the waterfront mansions along the various canals.

Tour Atlantic Avenue next to the ocean.

Thanks for the tips! Any good ideas of restaurants? We liked the look of 15th street fisheries as it is right on the water taxi route so we will try that I think.

Ann, go to cruisecritic.com, check out the "ports" board for FLL... there's a TON of info there. Everyone at the Princess boards loves the Sheraton Yankee Clipper - I think you've made a great deal! Also, if your booking is refundable, I think we've figured out Priceline/Hotline for FLL hotels - do a search on either the "Ports" board or the "Princess" one.
