Kim's new and improved life journal!

Sounds like things are going just swimmingly!

I am so jealous about the single digit dance. We're at the 32 day mark, and I can NOT wait! You'll have to fill us in w/ a trip report or something so I can get my fix in before we go LOL

Keep up the good work and I hope you get a few runs in the week!

Hi all! Sorry I've been M.I.A. It's been a busy weekend!

Friday - At lunch I went for a 70 minute walk by myself around the base. It was awesome! I felt so good afterwards & the weather was beautiful! :thumbsup2 I don't remember exactly what I ate, but I know I was on plan all day and drank all my water, plus some green tea.

Saturday - Busy day with birthday party, shopping and Halloween party. DH and I had a GREAT time and it was nice to hang with some friends and laugh at each other's costumes! (I'll post a pic once I download them). I ate good up until the party, but all bets were off there. The drinks were a'flowin and the snacks were delish! (chip challenge......WHAT chip challenge? :confused3 ) *cough*subtract one day*cough*

Sunday (today) - Woke up and went for a run (thank you for the extra hour of sleep :thumbsup2 ). I ran for 45 minutes and felt really good. A few times I caught myself in a long, quick stride and I was like WHOA...slow down, lady!! I drove the course later and it was 4.2 miles...so that was definitely one of the quicker runs I've had for that distance! I know getting in those other runs in during the week definitely helped! I walked the 5 minutes back to my house after the run and then did 5 minutes of ab work. I didn't have the S&A workout handy (no, I haven't memorized it like some other people I know), so I did some crunches, side crunches and straight leg lifts.

Food today, not good. But I'll be back on track tomorrow. We're celebrating my mom's birthday tonight, since my family of 4 will be away for her real bday on Nov 8th.

OK, guys....let's all have a GREAT week! As usual, it'll be a busy one...but I'm doin the single digit dance today!! So I can get through ANYTHING this week!!

Yes, I said base. As in military base. As in men in uniform. Send me your resume, Jen!!! :rotfl:

I swear, there are always a ton of well dressed young women at our Wawa. Couldn't be because they want to see all the coast guard guys gettin their sammiches?? :confused3 :lmao:

Those costumes are great! I haven't dressed up in so long, I'm always busy with coaching.

Sounds like a good food day--lot's of great choices :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Well, it's the last day of the October exercise challenge...and I'm happy to report that I finished with 502 minutes!!! :yay:

I went for a 30 minute run this morning, 5 minute cool-down walk, and then did 7 minutes of arm/ab work. Tomorrow I'll look into the next challenge. I think I'll do another 500 because of the vacation. Then in December I'll increase the minutes. :thumbsup2

Food today pretty much stunk:

B - none
L - cheeseburger & fries
D - 2 slices pizza
S - 3 pieces Halloween candy

water - 50 ounces

I had a great day. Had time to myself this morning for a while (ran), then went to DS's Halloween parade. (the pics are from my sister's house tonight before trick or treating)

Then went to lunch with my mom. And then went to DD's school party and parade.

Then we went to DH's office to visit, then trick or treating. Now finally back home and exhausted!!

The kids? yeah......ME? YES!!!! :bounce:

Those costumes are amazing! And the kids look so cute in them. I bet they were the hit of the parade :)

I'm glad you were able to fit in a run before all of the celebrating began. BTW, how do the excrcise challenges work? I can't seem to figure out the criteria (maybe I'm a little too dense!)

Hey Bekki! The exercise challenges are whatever you want them to be. You estimate how many minutes per month you want to challenge yourself to exercise. It's totally up to you. There are some people that do over 1000 minutes! But I just know that's impossible for me with working full time, running around with the kids and taking care of all of the other stuff that comes my way! There are no prizes, and no reprimands. It's all for you!

If you're interested, it's never too late to join...head over to the WISH board and open the November exercise challenge thread!

Great costumes, Kim! :thumbsup2

Way to go on making your October Challenge! :Pinkbounc

Have a great Thursday! :sunny:

Congrats on the October Challenge...you rock!! :thumbsup2

So, how many days before we leave??
