Well, just checking in, and i sent you a PM tonight!..
im home tomorrow from school so ill IM you, b ut HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Happy Friday, everyone!!!! (that means another Tuesday is coming up!! :woohoo: )

OK, time to admit my wrongdoings. I haven't worked out AT ALL since Monday night. Haven't even wanted to. :guilty: I definitely DO want to run. That's what I really really want to do right now. Anything else just isn't good enough for me. And I know that's wrong....but I can't seem to break free from that mindset at the moment.

BUT....I have a plan in place.... :yay:

Tomorrow (after DS's soccer game) - RUN
Monday - workout at lunch (eliptical or weights at friends' house)
Tuesday - RUN
Wed - workout at lunch
Thursday - (supposed to be RUN, but weigh in with Nancy this upcoming week)
Friday - shop at lunch :rotfl:
**then another run on the weekend.

I do also want to do that S&A arm/ab routine 2 nights/week.

I think that this schedule will work out until the spring, when the mornings are a little lighter. I just can't wake up early & run in the dark. It's not about being tired...it's about fear. :guilty:

OK, guys....I CAN DO THIS!! Please keep on me (Scott's jumped on that bandwagon :goodvibes ). Don't let me slack off (except for the week of 11/7 - 11/15 :lmao: ).

Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

Hi Kim,

Don't be too hard on yourself for not wanting to work out. We all go through it!

You have a good plan in place and I know you can do it.

Keep up the good work!

Have a great weekend :)

Hiya Kim!!

I'm still reeling a bit from that Lost eppy last Wednesday...i'm still not sure what exactly happened :confused3 But, it's great to see that you have a plan in place!! That's a huge step, now you just have to follow through...and believe me, I know how tough it is to squeeze those runs in with busy schedules. Just make it your top commitment and you'll find a way, I know you can do it!!!

Don't worry about the week...there's nothing you can do about it now, so move past it and stick to your plan for the week ahead :) Those new shoes of yours are itching to hit the pavement! Also, do you have any races planned? I know for me, that all along the way I've always had a race to train for and that helps tremendously. If you don't, I'm sure there are TONS around the Jersey area...maybe you should go for another 5k? Seems that Thanksgiving morning is a popular time to race...I found a huge 10k down here that I'm gonna do to help offset that massive meal that will be consumed shortly after :) anyway...just some thoughts :)

I hope you have a great Friday and a super weekend!

I know you can follow your plan this week--especially since you've layed it all out. Just take it day by day, and by next week, you'll feel terrific!

We're rooting for you :)

Kim....that plan sounds great!! COMPLETELY doable during the winter months! Just make sure you bring a shovel after it starts snowing!!!
Don't worry.....I'll stay on the RIDE KIM'S BUTT BANDWAGON!!!

I still want to see the S&A workout....can't be any worse than Bob's. Of course, I can't do Bob, so what makes me think I can do S&A?? :confused3

"talk" to you later!
marie

Hey guys!! I copied the S&A workout from Scott's journal for ya, Marie (and anyone else if you want to try). It's REALLY intense even though it sounds not too bad since it's 10 minutes. :teeth:

The deal is that you do each exercise for 30 seconds, then progress on to the next exercise (no breaks). There are 10 exercises total and once you finish #10, you go back to #1 and go thru them again (you do each exercise twice). So you are working out for 10 minutes total. It's a really tough workout but should produce some great results. Here are the exercises in the order that we do them:

1 - Basic Regular Crunches
2 - Crunches with your knees up in the air and feet off the ground (90 degree angle)
3 - Leg Lifts (straight legs..don't touch the ground)
4 - Scissors
5 - Bicycles
6 - Left Oblique crunch
7 - Right Oblique crunch
8 - Plank
9 - Pushups
10 - Dips

If you don't know what some of them are (like I didn't) just let me know & I'll explain!

I love those kinds of circuits! 10 hard minutes, but you feel so accomplished.

Alright....yet again I have disappointed myself.

I did not run this weekend. I had opportunities, but instead we stayed in as a family on the chilly fall days and bonded. So for that reason, my guilt is less than it probably should be. There aren't many weekends that we can just hang...get things done around the house, play games, cook together. And we had an AWESOME time. :thumbsup2

There is a change in the plan that I had posted. My co-worker/good friend (who got me started running in the first place) is having some medical issues right now, and can not run. So our Tues/Thurs runs are now going to be replaced with speedwalks outside of our work building (and on rainy days - we will go to her house for cardio). I'm actually really excited about the walking because we will only have to change into sneakers, and won't need a shower afterwards..so that allows more time to walk at lunch! But, all is not lost! On the Mondays & Wednesdays that I am scheduled to workout at her house...I will run on her treadmill. Even if I can get in a 20-25 minute run it will be wonderful. Then on the weekends I will absolutely positively run.

And I will continue to do the S&A workout during the week too.

I know I've been full of empty promises lately (wow, does that sound weird? :confused3 ) but I need this and I want this.

Thanks guys.

Hi Kim!

The "S&A workout" :) It has a name now!! But I do feel kind of bad, since there was a lot more 'A' involved in it's creation than there was the 'S'. I'm glad to see people interested in doing it...but fair warning: IT'S BRUTAL!!

And glad to see you reworking your plans...you've just got to find one that fits and then stick to it from there! I know you can do it and look forward to hearing about your successes!!!!

Have a good day Kim!

Hi Kim,

Thanks for posting what the S&A workout is. I may give that a try too. I may need some explanation on some but I will let you know!

Don't get down on yourself for not running, you were doing something even more important in my book - Family time! No worries. This is a new week, new day.

You're new plan looks good...I know you can do it!

Keep up the good work!!!

Have a great day :)

Howdy. Just a quick post to say that YES, I actually DID run today at lunch!! :woohoo: Felt really good!! I ran for 23 minutes (if I didn't have to shower & get back to work I could've ran a lot longer).

Food for today:

B - light whole grain english muffin w/1 tbsp natural peanut butter
L - lettuce, tomato & grilled chicken with red wine vinegar
S - sugar free cookie
D - power bar

water - 60 ounces so far, hopefully at least another 20 before bed
unsweetened decaf green tea - 16 ounces

BACK ON TRACK BABY!!

Oddly enough, I'm looking forward to going to bed with my stomach growling. Back in the day when I first started with Nancy I did that a lot...and in my mind that helped me realize that I CAN DO IT. If I can go to bed hungry, that's a HUGE deal for me. So it'll be good for me to get back to that again. Shrink that stomach a little again! :teeth:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

WAY TO GO KIM!!!!!!! I'm soooo proud of you! :grouphug:

You did it girl! Back on track....way to go! :woohoo:

YAY KIM!
I am so proud of you!!! You are back on track (now, get me back on track,,i have the day off tomorrow, bother me online, okay)

You will have a great weighin with Nancy, i know it..
way to go pushing the water

Go Kiiim...Go Kiiim.... :woohoo: !!!

Way to go!! Good job!
