So did the new modem not arrive or does it not work. We had problems a few weeks ago and the only way they could fix it was to give us cable. Came out twice to try and find any other way but couldn't.

Ahhhh yes! THE Apolo thread! I may have to bring that one back just to celebrate when I finally get my modem.

The whole modem thing is such a long U-G-L-Y story! Reader's Digest version: Modem died, called installer guy, he says: "Uh, yeah, it's dead. Too bad you bought a used one, it's not under warranty." Our response: EXCUSE ME? USED? Umm...don't think you mentioned that when you sold it to us!!!!" Yes I did, he says... No you didn't, we say... etc etc.... We called Starband and they say: "Yes it is under warranty, we will send you a new one...we'll send it two day ground." Well, that was on the 9th. Last time we checked on it's whereabouts today, it was in Hartford Conn. Helllloooo?!?! I'm in CALIFORNIA!!!

Sigh.... here I sit at the kitchen table on my antique laptop.

Yep. I just finished one the other day and started a new one yesterday. I usually read when I'm on my stationery bike.

I have high hopes that "Installer Jerk" will get what he has coming to him someday in the not too distant future.
