I've seen reports that there is a test attraction in place where you get a Kim Possible communicator and do a scavenger hunt type tour of Epcot using the said communicator.

This supposedly started August 14th at Epcot and is running till September. Has anyone seen this or heard any other details? DD is a huge Kim fan, and it sounds cool, but I haven't heard much.

Anyone know more?

I saw that in the All Ears e-mail I got yesterday. It looks like so much fun, and I really hope they continue it in November, because my DD is a huge KP fan as well. She would love to do this!

Just to let you know it's the Kimmunicator (and Ron had the Ronnunicator)

That sounds excellent!!! Sure hope its around in October, but may be tough with Food & Wine Festival going on at Epcot.

From the allears newsletter:

Kim Possible Comes to Epcot! Beginning as early as later this week and running until September 8, 2006, the Kim Possible Game Play will be tested at Epcot. This outdoor treasure hunt activity will last approximately one and a half to two hours, and will be ongoing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cast Members will recruit guests at the front entrance of the park. With the help of a "Kimmunicator," guests will travel from Imaginations Imageworks to the Canada, United Kingdom and France pavilions, and then back again. A deposit, fully refundable upon return of the "Kimmunicator," is required to begin the test. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

If you're lucky enough to be selected for this new activity, please let us know all about it!

I wonder if it would be appropriate to ask at the front entrance about participating in this? My dd (and even my ds) would love it!

Whats the sitch??? I sure hope that they run it into Dec. My DD's can't miss an eppisode. We were already looking forward to meeting Kim and Ron (taco grande!!) when we heard they were auditioning for a Kim Possible play within WDW.

oh gee!! thats exciting! i wanna be recruited! will they recruit you when you first enter the park? because i'm doing the segway tour and it will go over a little 11, i think we r doing it at 930, i'm not that sure, but i love kim possible! lol i want to meet them in the park!!

Like they said its a test, so if its as successful as it I think it will be, then they'll keep it around for a while, heres hoping anyway ;)

I didn't know anything about this 'til today! Guess I need to read my allearsnet newsletter more carefully. :) We were at Epcot today and I heard the telltale KP theme. I wondered what it was..I thought it was just a child's toy. But we overheard a guest with the toy (which looked like a toy cellphone) ask a CM about it and the CM directed them to the Imagination place. Anyways DW asked a CM guarding a roped off area. The sitch is that you must arrive at Epcot FIRST THING in the morning. There are CMs in blue polos that you can ask if you can participate. It sounds like it's a limited enrollment. We plan to play tomorrow so hopefully I'll have a detailed report tomorrow. :cool1: :cool1:

My family (DW,DS,DN) were recently in WDW (8/21-25), upon entrance to Epcot one day in the am, we were stopped by a CM and asked to participate in this new test attraction. We were directed to a specific area to sign up and scheduled an appt for us to meet for the attraction later in the day. My 10 y/o niece was beside herself for the rest of the day in anticipation of this event. We arrived as directed (in Canada) where we were met by the CM's running the event. DS and DN were given the "Kimmunicator" -a preprogrammed nextel style cellphone with video capabilities, (after a CC # was left for their return) and watched a small video setting the scene for the mission they were about to do. The Kimmunicator then instructed our little investigators to find clues by sending them messages along with pictures that they had to recognize and locate through out the United Kingdom and France pavilions. (Thank God we had been in the area enough that we all easily recognized the pictures they sent to us and we could physically find the locations they gave.) At each location a new clue was given to be able to find the new location and a new clue to the mission. I really do not want to give out too much information and ruin the fun for anyone who may be chosen for this test. All in all, the attraction took us about an hour to complete, then we all completed a survey and DS and DN received a Kimpossible Disney pin for participating. The attraction was fun, and several clue locations were individualized for the specific agents at the attraction by their "agent name" making my DS and DN feel special. I would recommend that you try this out even if you or your little one is not familiar with Kim Possible.

We were approached last week when we entered Epcot (around the legacy pictures). My boys don't watch Kim Possible so they didn't want to do it. Sounds like it might have been fun.

We did it (in part) on Thursday. We never got out of France. :sad2: It was just taking too long, lots of backtracking from clue to clue and the Kimmunicator stopped working at one point, so we got a bit frustrated with it...then it began to rain, so we returned the phone. We did get "limited edition" pins for our efforts. :thumbsup2

I do have to say that the clues were VERY well done. I was very impressed with how WDW integrated the clues into what looked like normal everyday props.

This sound extremely fun. I hope it continues.

Maybe they were still working out the kinks.
