Can anyone tell me how this works? I have dd7 and ds 8.

Is it something dh and I have to do with them? Or can they do it while we walk around WS?

Where do you go to get the walkie talkies(or whatever it is you use)?

Do they ever run out of them?

How long does it take to complete the "mission"?

Did your kids like it?

My kids weren't too impressed with world showcase last time and I'm thinking this would keep them entertained so dh and I can enjoy F&W fest :)

Don't have any answers just thought it was funny that we posted close to the same question at the same time!!! Have fun at F & W:goodvibes

I just did this for the first time with DS who is 5. It was a bit over his head but he enjoyed it. Perfect for an 8 year old. He could technically do it himself but he'd be walking around Epcot alone.

You go to one of the Kim Possible locations and sign up using your park ticket. They will swipe it and give you a time card like a fast pass that says to start in a country, ours was Norway. When you get there at the time, give them your ticket.

They will give you a cell phone looking device and you will follow the directions on it. Ours sent us to China and we had 7 or 8 little missions n China to do. When you are done, you have the option to do more or to stop. We stopped after the one and it then shows you where the secret drop box is to drop off your phone. There is a different mission for each country and it's random.

Basically it's a fun way to explore the country. It took us all over China and we saw things I probably would have walked right by and not noticed before. Also, it triggered some events that were fun and made people around us look up like, " hey...what's that??" lol

It was fun and I'm gonna do it again next time.

Thanks so much for the info! I think they would enjoy it!

I think we will try it :)

We did this last January and my DS (6) and DD (10) loved it. Normally the countries are boring to them and we drag them through them without anything peaking their interests. This allowed them to explore the country and really interact with the sites.

We are going back in 2 months and this is now their favorite park because of this interaction.
:thumbsup2

sorry to hijack this post, but for DS8 and DS7, would you suggest one phone or two if we all plan to stick together as a family?

When you sign up, they will ask you how many in your party. I would say one phone. Otherwise you are liable to be split into different countries and could be on opposite sides of the world. ;)

We did this in August and our sons are 8 and 15- they both had a blast. DH and I also had a great time- they boys took turns finding the 'things' they needed to find, and when DH got antsy I made the boys give him a turn :thumbsup2, as DH loved it too! We did missions in Norway and the UK, and wished we had done more. It was one of the highlights of our trip! :woohoo:

It is probably more fun if you do it as a family. We've done Kim P twice with the grandkids and it definitely made it more interesting for them as well as allowed us to discover things we never noticed before (we are pretty observant).

One note, a couple of years ago you could request a specific country and if it was available they would provide it. (I think Germany was my favorite because of the garden trains)

Happy Missions! :dance3:

I did this last year with my Nephew(9) and Daughter (11).

They loved it. You will only need one phone for the group. We were taken to three different countries on our quest... it was a LOT of fun.

I am going on an adults only trip in 2 weeks, and i will be doing htis for sure... and i am 39 :hippie:

We did this in March. And when I say we, I mean my DW and Myself... no kids.

We loved the show, and this was a lot of fun! There was some really cool things.

I heard they were going to do something similar at the MK with Sorcerer Mickey.

I really want them to do something like this at DHS with Agent P! That would be the best trip ever!

DD7 and DS 9. I've done each country at least 3 times over the past couple years.

If you can manage, split the kids up. It's sometimes hard to "get" everything if someone else is holding the Kimmunicator.

DS9 has no issues doing it solo. I just tag along behind him.

DD7 needs a few prompts.

A few of the location clues take a little bit of searching.

It's definately fun for adults to do. I think it would be great if they did something like this at each park. It's a fun way to tour an area and you see things you would normally never see. I think very fewmpeople do this because they either have no idea what it is and/or think it's just for kids.

Does Disney have a suggestion box? I think doing something similar at each park would be amazing!

We get 1 Kimmunicator for our family (me, DH, DD 11 and DS 8). We take turns with each family member getting a chance to hold the phone for the clue. Each time it makes the alert noise it's time to pass it to the next family member.

One phone, since they randomly assign a mission. 2 phones would probably wind up being in 2 countries...
