Killimanjaro Safari FP or....

If I get there at rope drop and head straight to Safari during our next drip (May 14-21st) do you think I will have a minimal wait? Or do you think I should just grab a fast pass? What would you suggest doing while waiting for that window to open up?

I would be very surprised if you would need a FP (unless you want one for doing the Safari a second time).

We did the Safari first thing last October and sailed right on.

I agree with PP, we have done this (head straight for the Safari at rope drop) the past 3 times we were there and have always walked right on. If you want to ride twice go ahead a grab a FP before you get on. You can do Panjani Exploration Trail while you wait for FP window if you choose to ride twice.

I would hit KS first then depending on show times, head to Nemo with a quick stop to get a EE FP (must keep fiance happy). After Nemo hit Dinosaur and the rest of Dinoland. By this time you could get an early lunch at Flame Tree or see ITTBAB then get lunch. I would then get a FP for KRR and hit the trails while your FP ripens. Ride EE & KRR using your FP then head to the character meet & greets.

You did not mention FotLK in your list, but I think you could easily add this in the late afternoon while you are over at camp minney mickey.

I would agree with this, except you can probably just ride EE on the way to Nemo. If there is no line, the ride only takes 5 minutes or so. It'll still be early and in mid-May crowds should still be low. Grab a FP as you leave if you want to ride again later.

As for Dinosaur, be sure you WANT to ride this. My whole family hated it and it kind of killed our day from that point on. That's not everyone's experience, but consider your "gang" when considering this ride.

The day we did this, we went to the 10:00 am show of Nemo. There would have been no way to do KS & EE before the show. We got to the theater 10 minutes before the show and were able to sit in the first row of the back half of the theatre which IMO is the prime spot since the performers come out in the aisles. We were so close that I could have reached out and touched Dory & Marlin as they had a bit where they stopped right in front of us.
