I'm wondering if the Kilimanjaro Safari is appropriate for a 2 1/2 year old. I've read that it can be a little rough, but I don't think that would bother him. Just wanted some input from folks who have taken younger kiddos on this ride.
The rules of the trip are that little kids, not in the arms of their parents, must sit in the seats toward the inside of vehicles with adults flanking them on each side.
The tendency, then, is for the kids to want to stand up to get a better look at the animals, which is contrary to the safety rules, as well.
There are times when the vehicles move so fast and shake so violently that anyone standing could be caused to fall to the floor of the vehicle.
This motion could also cause guests to lose hold of their cameras, if they don't take extra care to hang on tightly to them.
If anyone has not experienced the full jolting of the ride, they have been lucky.
As a veteran of dozens of trips, I can tell you that it can get extremely rough, depending on who is driving and which section of the attraction is being traveled.
But, it is a great attraction for nearly all ages, very well done.
Just be aware that everyone needs to sit tight and be able to grab a hand-hold when needed.
