I got some great costumes & accessories at 75% at DS & DS.com for my DDs first trip to WDW this fall (hopefully!), when she'll be just over a year. Do kids usually wear their costumes in the parks all day, or just to character meals? The costumes I got were the princesses, with tulle and a little bodysuit underneath. Should I bring a separate outfit for each day in addition to the costume? I was trying to not have to buy her a seat on the plane, so she won't be entitled to have her own luggage.

We were there in January and my DD5 wore her Sleeping Beauty dress until she spilled ketchup all over it (3 days), then she wore her Cinderella dress for 2 days, then bought Minnie Ears and wore those with her Cinderella dress for a third day, then wore her Minne Ears with a Minnie Cheerleader jacket we bought there for three days. The CM's were wonderful, they called her whatever she was dressed as, and when she had the ears and the dress on they called her Minarella! She was even asked for her autograph by a CM and I took a picture. She told me that was her favourite part of the whole trip. If you can't wear your princess dress at WDW where can you?!!!

WE WENT 2 YEARS AGO AND MY DAUGHTER WORE HER CINDERELLA COSTUME TO BREAKFAST AND THEN TO THE TENT TO HAVE PICTURES MADE. IT WAS REALLY CUTE!

We just got back last week, and I saw several little girls dressed up. They were so cute!!

My daughter wore her princess dresses for the meals. I changed her clothes after we ate because it was hot when we were there and I thought she would be more comfortable with lighter clothes on. But, if she had wanted to keep the dresses on, I would have let her. :D

when I first read the subject line, I thought you were asking if kids were wearing DS (darling son) costumes...I didn't understand it until I opened it and read your question!

I bought one for my 6 year old and 3 for my 3 year old and they only wore them to meals with princesses and a minnie dress to Chef Mickey's. They changed into princess t-shirts and shorts to be comfortable on the rides.
