Kids Wearing Costumes at Disney

I think here on the Disboards, you'll find a lot of folks who have kids that love to dress up. For the general public, it's actually (other than at the princess special meals) most don't. My kids have never considered it, but when my DS was really little, he did have a Buzz sweatshirt (and we all had Mickey ones). I've not seen many kids dressed up (sometimes here and there but not a lot for sure), but I've never been to the princess dinner things either!

That being said, if your kids want to, they will totally feel special and appropriate at the parks! Where else can they do that? It would make for cute photos too!!

I agree with the others that say to bring comfy changes of clothes though! We always had a change of clothes with us anyway (you never know when ice cream spills, and then if they get fussy about the spill, or their socks get wet...).

I wonder too if you can find good outfits on places like Ebay? Some of the dresses probably don't get too much wear! I'm always happy to find a bargain.

DD always wears her princess dress for breakfast at CRT, then keeps it on till afternoon till gets to hot and changes.

^^That is my plan! In August we have a 8:05am ADR for CRT and I think I will dress dd2 and dd5 with their Cinderella dresses for the photo with Cinderella and the breakfast. I will also have a change of clothes for later when it will be too hot.
