I'm not sure if this is the right board but I'm sure the moderators will post where appropriate.

We will be visiting thw World again in May. We will have DS 15, DD 15, DS 4 and Ds 2 with us.

I've read before about gift baskets with autograph books, pens, and other goodies that can be delivered to our hotel for our arrival.

Anyone familiar with these? Where did you order them from? Any experiences?

Thanks,
Liz

We always order from WDW Florist
Disneyflorist.com

We have never been disappointed. We have gotten baskets for the kids with the autograph books and pens and others.

You can also try www.giftsofalifetime.com

Here are 2 pictures of things ordered from the florist

I ordered a basket for my 2yo DD and my DH. It arrived to our room just after we did. I ordered a collection of snacks and foods as well as autogaph book & pen, pressed penny book, and some other little things. It was a bit on the expensive side to me but worth it. Oh I ordered it form gifts of a lifetime.

Oh and we also put on the cards that the gifts are from Mickey and Minnie welcoming them to WDW

Those are great.

Just went to the Disney Florist website and they don't show anything so I e-mailed them with what we wanted.

I e-mailed gifts of a lifetime a few days ago and haven't heard from them.

I would highly recommend Pixie Gifts. They were awesome to work with. I had two baskets delivered to our room in Sept. They were very quick to respond to my many, many questions and requests. All in all, the kids were absolutely thrilled. We did water bottle, name tags, disposable cameras, misty bottle things, some candy, some girly items, etc. Everything was personalized for each child. The basket was waiting in our room upon check in.

Try them, you will not be sorry.

How do I find Pixie Gifts?
We used WDWFlorist last time and while it was nice, they didn't really have a basket that included what we were looking for. We got a basket with snacks and a lot of it was never eaten.
Would love to have a basket that included autograph books, "fat" pens, cooler misters, candy, and name tags.

Lizzie64, sorry to jump in on your post.:o

Erin,
if you call Disney florist you can put together your own basket. Just tell them what you want in it. We have done this before and they are more then happy to put it together for you.

Disney florist quickly faxed over a list of items that can be put together. Unfortunately I haven't seen it yet, It went to my husbands office.

Pixie Gifts have a minimum of $75. That's pretty steep, especially when you're looking at 4 kids.

I have used WDW Florist several times and have been very happy. They let me put together my own basket with the AK Beanies (aren't you staying at AKL) and also floral arrangements for Christmas and such.

Have Fun!!

I was thinking that maybe I'd do my own baskets and when we check in give the box to the bellman and secretly ask him to display the baskets in our room when he delivers the luggage. Then when we get back from MK, the baskets will be there for the kids. Do you think this will work?

Also, what are your ideas for your teenagers. I would love to do something for my 10 year old son, but worry he is too old for some of what I have in mind-Does anyone have any ideas?

On our 2000 trip to WDW we were arriving at the Carribean Beach the day before Easter. I checked with the hotel to see if it was okay to send a package from our hometown to arrive before we did. This was no problem. I had put decorative Easter stickers on the box and marked it sent from the Easter Bunny. The hotel was not able to deliver it to the room, but when we picked it up at the desk, the kids were completely surprised and couldn't wait to open it.
It worked very well and helped make a holiday away from home, a little more familiar.

Lizzie--Any chance you can do one large basket for all of them? I think they charge a delivery fee of $7.50 PER BASKET, so it would really save a lot if you could.

I've used the WDW florist several times and always been more than pleased.

They can no longer have it waiting in your room thoug--you'll either get a message on teh phone when you get into the room that there is a delivery for you that they will bring up, or you might need to call them to ask about it.

Anne

PS--ideas for teens: Mad magazine, playing cards, frisbees/nerf footballs, disposable waterproof cameras, swim goggles.

Hi Liz..

I had a gift delivered to Noel at AKL... it was a Mickey Mouse Back Pack, a large scented candle, a autograph book, cookies and chocolate... she loved it.. it was all wrapped in cellophane and waiting in the room when we arrived.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that I had AKL Concierge do "pillow gifts" for her every night for the 9 nights we were there.

Each evening at turndown they placed a gift on her pillow... she would be dragging me back to the room each night to see what was there ... it was so much fun.

You can buy whatever you want and slip them to the concierge and the housekeeper will place them on the kids beds at turndown each night as instructed.

In my case the concierge shopped for them too... I didn't have time - or room in my luggage.. they bought 9 animal kingdom bean baby animals - lion, tiger, giraffe, monkey, leopard, elephant, etc... they were so cute and so much fun to find on the bed eachnight all set up.. by the end of the week it was a zoo.

But pillow gifts can be anything... I have to come up with something new for the next trip...

Have fun

Anne-
I hadn't even thought of the separate delivery charges. Thank you, thank you. Maybe I will do one for all.

Cassie -
What an awesome idea. I will e-mail concierge right now.

I think my kids will have a very special trip with all the help from mommies friends.

Thanks to you all.

Hi Lizzie,

When we went to the HRH last Dec, I had Shirley from "A Perfect Gift" make up one big basket for the kids. I really wanted them to like Universal, so we did a Nick Jr. theme. Scoobey, Rugrats, etc. I also sent her some things to put in the basket, the Barbie Daphne Dolls w/ scoobey and some sand toys. i was very pleased with the package. It was 84.00 plus the $ I spent at home about $30. Needless to say it was a nice way to start the vacation and the kids did like Universal.

I didn't know Shirley delivered to WDW or I would always use her. I had the nicest floral ararangement (and freshest!) ever from her on my cruise lat year. And her gift basket was so nice as well, she's truly wonderful!

Anne-

I didn't know who to use, so I saw Shirley was a sponser and I called her. She was Happy to do it. She was so nice to deal with and even called me after the trip to inquire how we liked it. I absolutely reccomend her.

Hi MOMTOMOOTOO,
Can I search for her website by "
perfect gift"?

Sounds good.
