We will be in WDW in June on the basic plan. Our boys (ages 6 and 3) are small but frequent eaters. When we order our counter serivce, can we order 1 kids meal for the boys to share and get another one later in the day? It seems like a waste to only have them eat 1/2 their meal and a hassle to pack the leftovers for later.

I don't see why not, especially with CS meals. DH and I might even share a lunch CS meal and then share a different another time if it seems like a lot. This would especially work for us at Epcot since there are so many great choices in the WS. Tangierine in Morocco is a must right now, but we might also want to try a dish someplace else. So we can share! Our little guy will be too little for the dining plan, but our older son is 3 and on the plan with us of course. The little one can eat from what we have, or we can all share everything at CS locations. For our TS we went with all you can eat options since we want character meals mostly anyway, and then our little guy eats free of charge and can try different things. Also we like to encourage our older one to try different foods so this way there will be variety! Enjoy your trip, we go in July!

Oh yes. I fully intend on doing this when we go for our CS meals. I know every time we eat out there's always leftovers. Last year when we went to Disney(not on the dining plan) we shared some CS meals. Like at Pizza Planet, I bought 2 meals that was an individual pizza, salad and drink and that fed all 5 of us. I can't see buying 5 of those meals and using 5 CS credits.

In the past we have shared some adult meals and some kid meals and it wasnt a problem.

One of the best meals to share, adult or child, is the breakfast platter served in the resort CS locations: eggs, potatoes, bread, bacon and sausage. The adult breakfasts also come with two beverages; perfect for sharing.

Then you can use the other CS credit for a shared lunch like the salad combo or one of the meals at Cosmic Rays. You could use a snack credit for the second beverage or to add fries to augment the meal.

We had CS credits left at the end. We spent them at the Grab and Go taking treats home with us.

We have three kids they will 9, 7 & 4 and I am lucky if my DD will eat a good meal once a day, so I definately will not be getting her a counter meal for herself between me, my hubby and 2 boys there will be plenty of food for her.

I hadn't thought about doing breakfast at the resort.

That would definitely help spread the food around a bit so I don't feel like a stuffed pig all afternoon!!

Disers are awesome!!:goodvibes

yes - we absolutely split CS meals a lot. Sometimes DH and I would split the adult meal - the sandwich would be enough for both of us. Sometimes I had the kids split a kids meal. We got 2 orders of fish & chips in the UK at Epcot and it fed all 4 of us as a good snack. We were able to stretch our CS meals a lot and never went hungry.
