I hope our weather is as pretty as your picture in 04/07!!! We had overcast muckiness last week!!! your pic made me totally envious until I saw it was April!!!
In April we had 14 -16 ft swells the first night out. People were getting sick in the halls and dinning rooms cleared out early. It did not bother me but my 5 year old and husband did not feel well. I bought them both the seabands from the gift shop. My sons was better in about 20 mins and was able to eat his dinner I brought back from the dinning room. My husband went to bed. The ship creaked and rocked all night. In the morning we were in Nassau and everyone felt fine. Any time we were on the ship they wore the seabands and had no other problems. The seas had also calm down.
I leave next week for a short cruise on the Wonder I am hoping for decent weather.
Scorpio1112 was your weather bad the whole trip? Did you sail on the Thanksgiving cruise? I have have the Magic booked for next Thanksgiving.

Has anyone tried the new Ginger Gravol for motion sickness? I was looking for ginger capsules or other products and stumbled across it at the pharmacy. I believe it is a new product and I wonder if any one has tried it? I'm not sure if they have a children's version though???????

Yup that woulda been Thanksgiving week!! So we will be trading months :)

We had Gamma to contend with... weather was beautiful at Costa Maya but then again I was in the jungle so couldn't take advantage (doing the ruins tour)... it wasn't all bad but more bad than good!

We were on the Thanksgiving Magic last month and the first night was rough -- I had brought dramamine for adults but assumed my kids would be fine. My 4 yo ds was fine, but my 6 yo ds was queasy -- he was fighting to keep his balance all the time instead of rocking with the ship. I sat next to him on the bed and I could feel his body shaking as he tried to balance himself. Dh went to the ship store for children's dramamine (chewable tablets). Ds took that and went to sleep and the next morning he was fine. I was fine too after just one pill.

That Target employee must have not felt like looking into it because Children's dramamine does exist and I recommend it!

My DH's preferred cure for seasickness is alcohol. That way when he stumbles he can blame it on the rocking of the ship :rotfl: QUOTE] :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We had moderate waves last Oct. on our Princess cruise. I was a tad queasy, even w/ the patch. But once I decided to have a drink...felt fine! I think tipsy feels a bit like slight seasickness!

Happy cruising!

Yes, I bought them on the ship at Mickey's Mate gift shop they are a couple dollars more than you would pay at CVS. I think they were $12.00.

Well, I figured out what the mystery is about "children's dramamine." It's not called "Children's" - it is the chewable that is safe for children over age 2 (various dosages based on age, etc.). The chewable is the only one I found that is safe for children - so I guess that's why the pedi's office and others were referring to it as "children's" but the pharmacist said there wasn't a children's :)

Either way, I've got it ordered!
