Kids saying the G word

My kids are not allowed to say, "Oh my God!"... it's taking the Lord's name in vain, IMO. I cringe when I hear others say it, and it's amazing to me how many churchgoing people use the phrase. Stunning, really. I guess it's just a matter of what you are comfortable with. My kids get this look of horror on their faces when they hear their friends use the phrase!

I never really thought about it until I heard DS saying it when he was about 2, then it hit my, I don't like that. We usually say goodness or gosh, DD says goodness gracious.

What I REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE is that we have some friends and the husband uses GD ALOT, as though it's just an adjective like green or blue. DH & I have both mentioned @ times how we do not say that, I think he finally got the message, he still says it but not as often. Maybe now that they have a 1 year old he'll stop all together.
