Where do kids eat free in orlando? I have found several, and will probably use:

Chevy's
Maria Bonita's
Steak n Shake
Fazoli's
Captain D's
Gator Landing

Any other good ones? Does IHOP do kids eat free down there? Looks like Denny's does, but only on Tues.

We went to Chevy's while we were there. Used to be one near us many years ago and we loved that one. However, when we went to the one near Disney in January, it was ummm .... not impressive. Noone seemed to know it was kids eat free day. How do you have a kids eat free night at a restaurant in the kid capital of the world and not know about it? They honored it without too much fuss, but literally no servers, no management knew anything about it until I showed them their own website on my phone.
My son ordered the Kids' Meal "Fajitas". What a joke! A dried out, sliced piece of meat, and some tortillas. No peppers, no onions, no cheese. That's not a fajita...
We had ordered gift cards from their website before we went because they were running a special (buy $25 gift card get $5 free) around the holidays. Before I ordered them, I specifically called to ask if I ordered $75 worth, would I be able to use the $75 and all three $5 bonus cards at the same meal. I was told yes, but the restaurant wouldn't honor them. There was no wording on the gift cards prohibiting it, but they said the $5 ones were "coupons" and that they could only accept one "coupon" per table. I ended up giving the additional $5 gift cards to other tables there in the restaurant.
Anyway, the adult food we ordered was yummy, but I really wouldn't go there based on the kids eat free deal. Kindof a disappointing experience overall.

Thanks for the heads up! I've never been there, but thought it might be worth a try. I'm planning on taking 6 of my 7 younger siblings in the fall along with my son and husband. I'm trying to get a feel for what food will cost if we are smart about it. I've found a surprising number of places I can feed all 9 of us for about $30 if I use kids eat free, kids sharing adult meals, and/or coupons from groupon, restaurant.com, living social, etc. I'm looking for more deals like that. We will probably eat lunches in the parks the 5 days that we are there. I need to find 6 cheap dinners outside the parks in orlando and 3 meals each way along the way from OKC (chains would be good for along the way). I'm thinking we will do sandwiches a couple of times, but really you can only eat the same thing so many times. We probably will not have a kitchen, but will have a mini fridge.

Just make sure to check with each restaurant as often kids eat "free" with each paying adult.

Right! Some do two kids with each adult others are one with each adult and Steak 'n Shake is per dollar amount ($8). I've made sure to check on that. We have 4 "adults" in our party and 4 kids and a toddler. Ages are 2, 7, 9, 11, 12, 15, 20, 26, and 28. So some places we even have 5 adults if the cut off is 11. Honestly though, the people in my family are tiny and could all pass off for a year or two younger if we wanted them to. Thanks for the reminder though!

For others wanting to know where to eat cheap here is what I've figured out:

Chick fil a - We split 4 12 ct nugget meals upgrade to large fries. 2 yr old gets 2, 7 and 9 yr olds get 4 each, everyone else gets 6 each except DH, he gets 8. This comes out to be about $30. I use the survey mini app to get $10 gift cards on a fairly regular basis, so I will be stocking up on those.

McDonalds - We either: A - split 3 20 PC nuggets and 4 large fries, $20 ish (depending on location) OR B - each get a McDouble or McChicken and share 4 large fries, also $20 ish (depending on location)

Cici's - Often Cici's will have a groupon for 50% off buffets for four making it $14. If this is out I will buy two and my sister will buy two. We will split the group into two parties and two in each trip giving us 2 meals at $28 each. These only work a certain locations so be sure you are looking at Orlando's groupon page and look at the locations and restrictions before buying.

Captain D's - I have not called to confirm this, but Captain D's in orlando supposedly had a kids eat free deal on Thursdays. Two kids meals per adult meal. In theory we could feed the whole clan here for $18 if this info is correct.

Steak n Shake - Steak N Shake has kids eat free on weekends, one kid for every $8 spent on adult meals. We would have everyone 11 and up order from the $4 menu. This would give us kids meals for the three littlest with a total bill of $24.

Fazoli's - I am having a tough time finding menus with prices, but I know they have family size meals for about $30.

Rainforest Cafe - I am heading to disney in May. My husband and I will each purchase a landry's select card and register them with our birthday month the month we go (it'll be the correct month for DH but not me. Will this be an issue?). If everyone 15 and under orders a kids meal except the 2 yr old and we share with the 2 yr old we should come out around $100. The sign up rewards and birthday rewards would cover this making our meal a total of $50 (the money we purchased the cards with) plus tip.

Earl of Sandwich - Register with their club with our birth month in the month we go. Receive 2 coupons for a free sandwich. Purchase an additional 3 sandwiches for around $20. Share sandwiches and bring our own chips.

Pizza from Ft Wilderness - 2 large cheese pizzas for about $30.

Fried Chicken from Ft Wilderness - 10 pcs plus biscuits and two sides. Would probably order additional sides or a salad and come out around $30 or $35.

That's all I can think of right now, but hopefully it'll help someone out. I'm gonna keep working on it for sure and I'll post back here.

Moes southwest grill- one free kids meal for each adult meal ordered. Valid Sundays. (Same shopping complex as Chevy's)

Those chicken nuggets at Chick fil a aren't normal "nuggets". If you haven't eaten there before, each one is like a bite to a bite and a half. DD can't finish 2 mini-burgers at Steak and Shake and her fries, but she can eat a 6 piece at chick-fil-a, fries, and still eat some of my chicken nuggets.

We eat there on a regular basis and have done this before. My family is tiny, we don't eat much. If we need more we buy another meal, but we are usually good to go for awhile. I'll take granola bars, beef jerky, peanut butter, fruit, etc to tide us over just in case.

Thanks! That's perfect. Something different from the nuggets and burgers!

What is considered a "meal" at moe's? Really they only have a la carte items... Is a burrito or quesadilla an adult meal?

A meal is any of the entrees- burrito, quesadilla, 1-3 tacos (though I think you have to get at least 2 tacos to count for kids eat free), burrito bowl, nachos etc and a drink All of those come with chips and there's a salsa bar. One of the locations near me has a price point on their Kids eat free sign, one doesn't, neither has ever _not_ given me a free kids meal as long as I've paid for a drink. So if I got an entree and water- no free kids meal. Kids meals come in 3 varieties, taco, burrito, quesadilla, each comes with a cookie and drink.

The burritos are massive- I can't finish a whole one by myself. Oddly I can finish a burrito bowl most of the time- that tortilla really makes a difference. LOL Often my youngest and I will share nachos, they're big and the queso sits heavy filling you up.

Thanks! I think I've found a few ihops with kids eat free as well. There are also free coupons floating around for 15% off house of blue as well as one for planet hollywood. Might use those on our upcoming trip. :)
