I was reading about the kids eat free card and was wondering if its worth it. My DH and I and two DD, 4, 6 are going to the area for 3 full days (2/3-2-6). We are staying onsite at Allstar sports and doing MK, one day (for DDs bdays) Universal day two with ADR @ 1900 park fare and movie night with chip and dale and Universal again day 3....

Would it be worth it to get the kids eat free card or just suck it up and eat onsite?

Oh, it's off-property. We don't leave WDW.

On the DDP the children are $10 per day and they dine with Mickey! ::MickeyMo Which is the highlight of the trip for my kids.

I looked at the list. There are a few places close to WDW; two of them I have gone into and walked out based on odors.

No matter which park you are at (including USF) you would have to leave the park, get to the parking lot (or garage at USF), find the place and eat and then get back to the parking lot (or garage) and back to the park.

From a "time is money" standpoint it is definitely not worth it (and also you have to pay for the Kids Eat Free Card). Child meal prices are fairly low ar the parks anyway.

I think if you are travelling offsite alot then it may be worth it for you, if you think you will eat at those places. But if you are only going to eat for three days and say only use the cards three times each, you will not save alot, maybe if you were staying longer. May I suggest posting this under Orlando Hotels and Attractions or on the budget board. You may get some helpful hints there. Good luck.:)

Sound like you have a full three days packed in time anyway. If it were me I would not waste all that time driving to different locations just so two young children could eat free. :confused3
Agree too this post belongs better on a different board so you can get other options.

IMO, time is money at WDW. You are spending quite a bit of $$ to be there after travel costs and ticket prices. By leaving offsite for each meal, you are carving several hours out of your park time. It takes more time then you'd think after getting back and forth from the car, going through security and the ticket line, trying to navigate back to the part of the park you left from, and of course the traffic and travel time in addition to the restaurant time. You won't save enough to offset the lost hours of coming and going, I don't think.
