I can't believe all the horrible things people have said to some of you. I've noticed that if a girl has red hair people usually love it, but if it's a boy they think it's unfortunate.
I've noticed that about the red hair too. It really odd!
You are all so talented! I love the Princess Pillowcase dresses.
Here is something I did yesterday. Do you think it needs it needs anything?
I love that! I think I would leave it like it is, it's very cute!!!!
Everybody keeps showing their pretty DD's in their pretty flowergirl dresses. So I have to show my DD in hers. It is also an ebay dress. This was from my wedding in june 2006.
DD is the one on the right and the other girl is my cousin's DD. They are the best of friends.
OOOH, those are really pretty dresses! And, beautiful girls!!!
They look great! A lot of us on the bow board use something called Fabric Tac. It works great for holding the character clips together and a huge bonus is no burnt fingers!! You can find it at
walmart or joanns.
Here is my littlest dd. I made her a party hat and a onesie dress. But of course I forgot to take a pic of the dress itself and it's already in the wash.

The hat says Phoenix's 1st Birthday....in the Disney font of course.

Funny story about those bows in her hair. We went to walmart to grocery shop last night and this lady came up to me and wanted to know where I got my bows. I told her that I made them. (kicking myself that I didn't bring my business cards with me) well she said they were EXACTLY what she wanted for her daughter. I jokingly said that I'd sell her those. (the ones my dd was wearing) and she said I'll take them and handed me a shiny $10 bill. DD was kinda upset so I bought her some cookie dough and all was right with the world again.
Thanks for the tip about the glue!! I may try to find some of that!!
I love your daughter's hat!! And the story about the bows is too funny!!! Thank goodness for cookie dough!!!
Actually, I have it bookmarked for if & when that time ever comes. I'm hoping that it will be at least 7-8 years though. They both have to finish college, start their careers, meet the right man, get married, etc. (and not necessarily in that order).
You weren't finished with college when you married Chuck, right? So, who knows! It's hard to believe that your babies are that old allready though!!! Wasn't just yesterday you brought a baby to my wedding?????? (A very good and cute little baby!) Of course, if you ever feel the need to just make some girlie things, I hear your old college buddy has two very cute little girls that love things like that!
Yep she did many times It was awful I tell you
That is so very very hurtful, and even more so since it came from her Grandma!!! I am so very very sorry that happened!
SO, maybe we should all start taking a changes of customs for our kiddos into the park so when people ask, we can sell the clothes off their backs and put on the next custom! I wonder how many sets to be sold in a day would be the record!
This is the outfit that I'm currently CASEing. It's a shame that it's on Voldemort for $185...it's crazy...I could make about 5 outfits for that much money...Anyway I finished the top, it's a pretty simple style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the ribbon trim on the pants. Do you think it would look just as good with a red and white dot ruffle on the bottom instead?
I really like that outfit Elisa!! I agree that the ruffle would be adorable!
One of my DGD wore one of my first custom outfits to a Festival and came back very indignant(sp?). She told me that her Daddy tried to "sell" her outfit three times that day and she would have had to come home NAKIT!!!
From then on anytime she puts on one of my customs (my DGDs are my primary models so I make the prototypes in their sizes) she wags her finger at her Daddy and tells him he can't "sell" it while she is wearing it.
Nana
She is so cute!!! I love that outfit! What a little cutie!!
OOOHH!!!! WAY ON TOPIC!!!! I found a peasant top that I'd cut out of Faeries material(leftovers from my FQ swap) before christmas. I am working on it NOW.
...t.
Yeah!!! I can't wait to see it!!!
Hi everyone,
Im so excited . I just got a pillowcase in the mail that i brought off It was sent over from the states and i am so happy with it that i wanted to share a picture. I brought the pillowcase just mainly to use belles face and the rose on a dress but auroras faces is quite pretty so i am going to do a dress with her as well. Next to Belle is some fabric ( musk pink and pale pink with muck pink roses) i brought last week which i thought matched really well. The package that the pillowcase came in had a barcode from 'KOHLS' on it. Cinderella is on the other side.

I haven't ironed it yet, i pulled it straight out of the package to take a photo to show you all.

Melissa, that is really pretty! I can't wait to see your finished outfit!!
I may have to run to Kohl's too!!!
I finished the outfit. The skirt wasn't as bad as the top! Now, I have to make DD6's outfit. I am going to make her's slightly different.
VERY pretty!! I love satin!!! Your daughter looks like she is loving it too!!!
I'm a beginner sewer, do you ladies think this is an outfit I could attempt? Really not so much the top as the pants? I loved the embellished overalls etc, is this relative easy to do? Any and all tips appreciated! THANKS
I haven't attempted applique myself, but there are lots of tutorials in the bookmarks in my siggy.
Here are the outfits I made with the Mickey winter fabric I bought back in, oh, October, maybe? It only took me 3 months to complete.
DD4, DD5 and DS2. THANKS for all the input for DS2's shirt. I went with Donald & Mickey sledding towards Goofy (top ball) and Goofy looking in a different direction (bottom ball). It's hard to see in the pic.
And can you believe it - NO twirling pics!!!!!!!!!
These outfits are adorable!!!! I love them!! And, you have some of the cutest kids ever!!!
That is turning out really cute!! I like the look of matching the threads to the color.
I didn't take pics or else I would be showing you all my grand accomplishment. I started at 11 am and finished at 10:15 pm and of course took a few breaks....garsh....the family had to eat.... but anyways, I made ruffled gouchoes and a peasant top to die for. Seriously, I am so proud of myself. And I tried shirring and using my new ruffler and everything. Tomorrow when she puts it on, I will take lots of pics!
OK good night all...stay warm..its freezing cold here!
Have I ever told you that I love the way you use different colors in your posts?? Well, I do!!! I can always tell right away when you are posting because it is so pretty!!
I can't wait to see your pictures!!!
Bundle up!!! It's cold here too, I am SOOO ready for spring!!!
