Here's my daughter's Animal Kingdom set and bracelet: (forgive me, there's no buttons on it yet! Just pins holding it together!)

Love this! I've noticed this style top/dress is used alot for boutique outfits and I have looked and looked for a pattern with no luck. Do you use a store bought pattern or do you make your own?

Linda, that is georgous. White...you are very brave. Though I have a boy so that maybe why it stood out. :rotfl:

mytwotinks, cute June outfit. I can't stand June and even I think it is cute. Yeah, I know I am weird, I don't like Trina from JoJo either. :lmao:

First of all, I have noticed this style top also in ALOT of boutique Ebay outfits, mainly from VERY popular sellers. BUT, I refuse to pay $300 for this outfit when I know I'm capable of making it myself, so alas...that is my finished product. ;) The same look for a fraction of the price.

Nope, no pattern whatsoever. I HIGHLY scrutinized my Aladdin outfit, which is the same style top. I went over it in my head for several weeks, studied the top frontwards and backwards and finally came up with the HOW...I then took my daughter's waist measurements and length from shoulder to hem.

It wasn't terribly difficult!

Mytwotinks...your pictures are great!! Where is Minnie's sewing machine? I must get a pic of my dd with it!

Thanks!

Minnie's sewing machine is in her house in Toontown at Magic Kingdom. I thought that would be a great pic to have in my sewing room! Now I just need a sewing room.

If you are wanting a pattern for this you could look just at the tops of the dresses. I'm sure that there are patterns with this top and maybe just a plain straight skirt. Adding the gathered layers would be easy and you would get the sizing right on the top. I'll look through what I have tomorrow and see if I can give a pattern number. I'm sure that I have something with that top. I kind of a pattern horder. I can't drive past a 99C pattern sale!

I'll check my stash, too. I have tons of patterns that I've never used. I'm like mytwotinks and can't pass up a good pattern sale. I've said it before...... this is an obsession. For those of you that still can, save yourselves now. :lmao:

I've been sewing away here...Yikes! Anyway, I've been trying to make bows today. I can't decide to glue the back of them or sew them. Sewing them has been neater I think.

Sorry for the bad pictures. I have a new camera and don't know how to use it yet, obviously. :rotfl:

I think I recall seeing someone here made an animal print (I can't remember what the print was) outfit with pink trim. Target has little girls leopard print ballet flats with a pink trim! Hope this helps!

For bows I find sewing works better and lasts longer. The glued ones don't seem to work as well.:goodvibes

I've used E6000 in the past, and it seems to hold pretty well, but if you get it on your fingers, you're done for. It ruins any ribbon it gets on, and you can't wipe it off your fingers. I think from now on, I will be sewing them.

Thanks for thinking of us:) ! Actually, the print is giraffe, but it sure looks like leopard from far away!

Oh yeah, one more thing....I saw the cutest pattern ever. I still can't believe I didn't buy it. It's called Fish Tales. It's to make a mermaid tail. The bodices that come with the pattern are gorgeous, and it also has a pattern for a seashell purse. Too cute, I wish now that I had bought it.

My daughter is just mad about mermaids (Ariel of course).....could you please tell me which pattern company makes Fish Tales....and if you know it the pattern number even (ok, I'm lazy and it's dangerous for me to spend too much time looking through pattern books...I collect them more than I use them, lol).

Thanks!

Okay, we were at Pop thursday night (I think) and I saw Minnie overalls with a polka dot skirt. Just wondered if it was someone on this board! It was really cute!

I am so jealous of all the girl talk and cute things being made! If I only had a girl!

I made my twins pillowcase dresses for our trip that we took a few weeks ago. They wore their Snow White dresses that my mom made for them last year on the days we went to Magic Kingdom. These were for the other days.

I used the Winnie The Pooh Hundred Acre Wood fabric for the day we went to Animal Kingdom.
I put Eeyore ribbon for the ties.

I made Ariel dresses for Epcot for our Akershus lunch, but we didn't get to take our picture with her.
Sleeping Beauty was the one for the package of photos. :confused3

I used the Princess fabric for our MGM day. Lydia was not in a good mood that day and I couldn't get her in any pictures unless she was in the stroller.
Madeline had Mickey all to herself.

Mono~rail - the girls look adorable in their dresses!!!! I love the little mermaid dresses. I am going to have to look for that fabric. Drew loves purple and Ariel, so I know that would be a hit at my house. The purple ribbon you used on that looks great.
