Tink....yes, I make Mommy shirts. I have even done them with the child's name, like Lexie's Mommy, or Kid at heart, or Where's Minnie? I can embroider almost anything. I like these because they're simple.

Whoever did the sneakers....they are totally cute!!! Love them!!

i made them :)

they were really easy to do!! thanks for all the compliments everyone!

Just wondering what kind of paint do you use? Are they just canvas sneakers?
They turned out really cute

$5 canvas sneakers from walmart and I used regular craft paint from walmart too. The brand I have is folk art but you could use any brand. they're little flip top bottles and come in a million colors. they aren't sealed in anyway though. i'm still looking for somthing to seal them with.

It says on the Mod Podge description that you can use it on canvas, so hopefully it would work on canvas sneakers ??

From the website:

Classic Mod Podge
The original Mod Podge® formula that’s a glue, sealer and finish all in one! Use this crafting favorite to decoupage almost anything on wood, glass, terra cotta, metal, canvas and more, then seal with a top coat of Mod Podge. Projects dry to a protective matte or gloss finish. Available in multiple sizes to suit any project including a gallon bottle for group projects or classes

I think you should be able to use it. Let us know if you do and how it turns out.

Oh Gosh, just saw some adorable custom e-bay outfits made out of bandanas? Anyone try this? I'd love to see pictures, or instructions on how to make these!!!

I just checked out that site and there were 2 people who painted canvas shoes with regular craft paint (the kind i used) and wore them in the rain with no problems. I guess I'll leave mine alone rather than risk ruining them!

I am paiting pirate ones tonight!! :)
Not sure if I ever shared these...if so - sorry to duplicate!

check martha stewarts website...I believe she has had the instructions posted there before for dresses made out of bandannas...so cute!

I also saw the bandana tops and skirts on youcanmakethisdotcom. They are really cute!

OK, I finally finished my dd's last 3 pillowcase dresses for her trip to WDW. :cool1: Now she has one for everyday. Here are the last 3:

They are all appliqued, I tend to stay away from painted items except shoes it seems....

I'd love to see a close up pic of the princesses if you could! I have got to get my sewing stuff organized. It's such a mess that I can't even get started. I think I am going to try a Lola outfit first. My dd5 would love it and she is getting to the age where the clock is really ticking. She won't be willing to wear character stuff for too much longer!
