I have no little girls of my own, but I have a little friend going to see the mouse soon and you all inspired me! This is not the one I made for her, but hers came out so cute that I had to make another! This one I listed on ebay. Thanks for all the inspiration here!

Too cute!!! Just curious...is that one of the Wal-Mart dresses? The reason I ask is b/c everyone on here wanted the red and not the pink and if it is one of the dresses, the pink turned out really cute!!!

This is my first attempt at posting pictures-hope this works.

We spend a lot of time in the parks and want her to be cute AND comfy. No reason a princess can't be comfortableprincess:

I'm still a learner but I make this for dd7 over the weekend. It's hard to find or make things for the older ones. Plus I don't yet own a sewing machine! Next I'm doing ds4 some pants!

Amy, I love those jeans!!! I know what you mean about the older girls, two of mine ar 6 & 8 but they are the ones I'm mainly doing for this time. I'm afraid dd8 will be too old for this kind of stuff next trip!! I asked them last night if they would like to have a baby sister so we could dress her up in the Disney boutique clothes... they thought real hard abou it, before deciding that one baby sister is enough!!!

It's really cute. Did you sew this by hand???

Hey, for the hairbow people. For baby fine hair, try "lining" an aligator clip with grosgrain ribbon. You simply use a hot glue gun to line the entire surface, including the pinch part with grossgrain ribbon that's same width as your clip. Make sure both ends of the grossgrain are on the inside of the aligator clip with the ends glued down near the pincher. This method holds really well--even in baby fine hair and opens up more possibilities for bows than a traditional snap clip. Hope this helps! And for little ones with a little (or alot) of fringe on top, don't forget that knit headbands are a cinch to make and open up a world of possibilties of bows for your little one.
The alligator clip bow I used was completely lined like you described, but it still didn't work for us. Our problem wasn't slipping, her hair would flip over to the other side like a comb-over. LOL. For some reason the snap clip doesn't do that. Hopefully in a few months she'll be able to wear the alligator clips because I do like them better. Not a fan of the baby headbands, though.

I've not posted a picture of my daughter's clothes on here...well, I'm just too darned lazy to learn how. Anyway, please look at my first ebay outfit. My seller name is carrieanne772. I am not soliciting, just wanted to show you this cute pattern I found.

It's really cute. Great job!

Also, another thing you can do for a little girl that has no hair or has some but not enough for a bow is dab a little toothpaste on a small bow and stick it on! We had to do this for quite a while when Parker's hair fell out!!!

That's better than scotch tape like my mom has been recommending :scared1: !

Here is the Minnie "spinny skirt" I made for my DD. She also has the matching hairbow.

and her Tinkerbelle-there is a crinoline that goes under it (when I get it done).

Adorable!

I found these at Claires yesterday!!! They were only $6, dd6 & dd8 had to have them for their Minnie dresses. They will be wearing them on Saturday, after that I'm going to tie Leopard print ribbons on them so they can wear them on Thursday with their AK outfits!

I also bought these earrings for $2/pair, they were solid red and we added dots with a paint pen... Question: do I need to seal that with something?

This is my first finished bow, it's the stacked one. It turned out ok, a little thick but ok. I'd like to try korker bows next... what size ribbon works best?

I didn't want to practice on brand new shoes, so I bought these leather Keds at a yard sale for $0.50!! This is the first one, I used sharpie for the mouse and acrylic paint for the red bow, and paint pen for the dots. What do you think?

Lastly, these are two shirts that I made courtesy of the wonderful DISigners!! I'm thinking making coordinating capris or something, any ideas would be appreciated!!!

Your shoes are awesome!!!!! You did a great job! As for your bow, it looks fantastic, too. Most of the "boutique" bows are huge, sometimes being 4" tall! So yours is not too thick! Keep up the good work!

Hi Everyone!!

I was wondering if anyone knew a website to tell me how to finish the snapclip bows - the one website https://www.theribbonretreat.com/custom/free_projects.aspx
tells me how to cover the snap clips, but now how to make the little bows that go on them,,,,,any ideas for a newbie???

thanks, wendy

Wendy, I think you could make any type of bow (very small) and attach it to the clip. You know, like this one: http://bowdesigns.50webs.com/pinwheel_bow.html or this one: http://bowdesigns.50webs.com/ribbon_roses.html Just do it small...with thin ribbon.

By the way, for whoever asked, I use 3/8" or 1/4" ribbon for my korkers. But be careful, it has to be 100% polyesther or it won't curl!

I use 3/8" ribbon for the korkers. Grosgrain seems to curl the best!

Very Cute!princess: I have been busy making shirts and bows for my DD's 7 and 11. I even made a couple for me, shirts that is not bows. I'll post pics when I get back. We leave in the morning at 6:30 for Disney. Driving all the way to Georgia the first day.

Everything was so cute! I'm no help on how to help you with your questions. Sorry! I love the tennis shoes though! I never thought of sharpies! Heck even I can do that, and we always have sharpies around!

I have a question for you all who use the iron on images. I have a fabulous printer and buy high grade transfer paper, also high quality tees, but my image always never transfers right. Either it's burned and wrinkled up underneath, or some of it doesn't transfer and the image looks terrible. I've wasted tons of money on tees and transfer paper. Any tips? Do you all use a pressing cloth under your iron?

I love your outfit! I don't have a sewing machine either. How did you make the ribbon jeans? Are the minnie heads pre-made? I'd love to make an outfit like this for dd4. Any help getting started would be great!!!
