Wow what beautiful clothes! I love the painted shoes!

I am making DS an outfit with the little boy pattern. It looks so comfy and if it gets cooler at night it looks cute with a little white t shirt underneath.

Obsessed with the mouse what do your little boys necklaces and shoes look like?

I just bought some really cute princess fabric from Joann's to make McCall's # 5085 which is a layered twirly top with capri's.

I bought the swirly head mickey fabric to make myself a tunic style top but I am worried it might be a little too bright.

I think if I had a little girl it would be different too, and actually being that I would be older I would probably splurge a bit on clothes! Another big thing with boutique is they have great resale value. You do take the chance of something happening to them, but otherwise you can get a huge chunk back of what you paid for them.

I think the beauty of this thread is that you can have adorable WDW clothes on any budget :)

These are some great outfits, and I'd like to show off some of mine if ya'll don't mind. I am a novice seamstress, but my skills are improving with each outfit I make.

I used the pattern mentioned above to make my youngest's Easter dress last year. She picked out the pattern and the fabric. She loves this dress and wears it about once a week, so the fabric is a bit faded. Cute dress though. Lots of compliments.

These are this year's Easter dresses. I wish I could find my pics of them wearing them because they look much cuter on. Also, my oldest is 7 and the pink dress suits her well -- not too cutesy.

Now, onto my first Disney (and DIS) inspired outfit. I may add a black and white dot bow to the trim. Of course, I'll have to get dd out of it first. She loves this dress.

Thanks for letting me share and for inspiring me to get back to my sewing. I really do enjoy it.

I love all the adorable clothes on here. I need your creative help. I picked up this adorable outfit at Kmart on sale for $9. I thot it would be perfect for a day at the AK. Prob is.....it is a boy's outfit and I want to make it more girly looking. I'd wear it like that on my DD4 but I want something prettier. I was thinking maybe some lace or something on the legs or shirt???? Maybe some sort of rhinestones or glitter outlines????? I DONT KNOW!! HELP! I dont want to cover up the front since it has the cute little tag already on there. Nothing too overkill (keep it simple--the little monster doesnt let me work on projects for extended periods of time..lol) Any suggestions that wont cost a fortune would be good too. Thanks in advance.

I would take the hat up to the fabric store and find a ribbon that coordinates. You could sew the ribbon around the hat brim and around the legs.

You could also buy a little bit of a tan fabric and gather it and stitch it onto the legs.

Also you could consider getting a more feminine shirt to go under it.

It's really cute by the way! I love the hidden Mickey's in the camoflauge.

About how much fabric to use, if it's a pattern that requires elastic in the back, I just cut it slightly larger. Then when I fit the outfit, I can just cut it down a little.
Yes, only use elastic thread in the bobbin. For the top color, the color in the needle, just use whatever color will match your fabric. So if you have red minnie dot, just use red. I only buy white elastic thread, because I sew a lot of white, and it goes with everything.

What is elastic thread and where do you buy it ?? I have never heard of it. Love all the advice and ideas!

The hidden Mickeys are what sold me on it.. :-D

I was thinking about something like a ribbon on the hat too(at the base of the crown), but maybe some of that...ooohhh (dont know name).......oh poo, the stuff you see on old fashioned women;s safari hats, kinda filmy, flowy looking stuff. LIke a chiffon type material??? It makes a sort of tail hanging down from the hat. But where to attach it to the outfit? Bows made out of it maybe? Put on the pockets where all the metal buttons are?

Did you get these at Kmart recently? I want some for my two DS to wear to AK!

Just bought it last night...was $14.99 but it rang up as $9. Who was I to argue saving 5 bucks.
The overall material is like jean material and the shirt seems a little heavier(better made) then the cheap shirts.
I think it started at size 24 months or so up to 5T LOTS OF THEM. Truthfully didnt notice many of the smaller sizes. It runs big.

I have a Pluto shirt I need feminized too, but I didnt think to take a pic of it. One project at a time. ;) It is really hard to find anything but Princesses for little girls so that is why the boy clothes. NO MORE PINK PLEEEEAASEE!

You can buy elastic thread at JoAnn's or any fabric store, I've even bought it at Walmart. It's found near the regular thread, just ask someone who works there. It's usually wound around a tube, like a small paper towell tube.

Hi! Here's some pictures of his necklaces that I've had done so far. As for the shoes, they haven't been painted up yet, but they're going to be a converse type style and each character painted on them...(buzz, mickey and donald) When they're done, I'll be sure to post pictures of them!

those are adorable!! do you use polymer clay to make them?

Probably a stupid question regarding patterns that come in multiple sizes....if I want to make the pattern in 2 different sizes but pieces have to be cut out along a size line (so once i cut it out in the first size that's it) how do I make the same thing in another size?
