Here we go again. I am going to try and post them a second time.

:thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing, I couldn't picture it when you were explaining it but with the visuals "I get it". I need those visuals. :)

Really cool --- I'm now inspired to try and make a belt for DD. She has a hard time finding ones that fit. Never gave it a thought to just make one.

I make my own hairbows! With 4 DD's I spent TONS of money on hair accessories! I bought the instructions off of ebay last year. It's so cheap to make your own.

Where do you find the alligator clips? I can never find them in the stores. Do you get them off the internet?

I would hate for anything to happen to anyone, but I would think if they are selling it on ebay then they are pretty noticable? Copyright is a funny thing, there is alot of okay and alot of not okay.

I would hate it too. And you make a good point...it is a simple, enjoyable post where lots of people are having fun. I hate the way everything becomes a debate on the boards. Does anyone really think that Disney's copyright attorney hasn't already searched ebay or decided to ignore it. I've always heard Disney is aggressive in defending their copyright. If there were harmful violations going on through ebay, I'm sure we wouldn't be uncovering it on this post!

I love the pictures from Austin's mommy...I have two boys and a girl...they are young enough for a few cute things this summer.

OMG, so much for being home sick (if SAHM get sick days). I just found my new obsession. AND I thought my girls were cute last visit with matching t's.

Thanks for all the ideas!!! Now I'm off to finally figure out the bernina sewing machince I got from GMIL.

P.S. At Joann's this week they have a bunch of coupons out in store and the ad for 50% off a bunch of different items. HTHs (expires the 17th)

If you are wanting to find them to make your own bows - I buy mine at a beauty supply store (something like Sally's Beauty Supply). I buy them in a box of 100.

I don't sew at all but I have a sewing machine. I don't know if it is cheating but joann fabrics sells ruffle trim in different colors. Here is bright pink

That is where I get mine too. If I remember correctly the box of 100 was around $5.00.

Thank you!! All these years I have just been using the spring barretts, but I love the Alligators so much more, I have never thought of buying them at a beauty supply place. I just got dd some adorable outfits at gymboree, so I will be off to make some matching bows!

I know what you mean...I'm fascinated with the pixs and I love the idea of making my own bows. Sometimes I just can't find the right one in the stores.

Wow! I thought my DD was cute when she turned 2. We had a Clifford party and I bought a pair of Clifford overalls for $2 from ebay. Clearly, I wasn't the first person to think of dressing in theme:upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow

I know they are not Disney, but I wanted to share my first attempt since this thread inspired me.
I have been sewing for more than 13 years, can't believe I never thought to do this before. Have to make up for it now using my friends children........DD will be eight soon and I am not sure how much she will tolerate!

These are pics of the Dora outfit I did for a friends daughter. Her 3rd Birthday was today and she was thrilled with these. She is speech delayed, but I knew she loved them immediately when she opened the box. She drew in a big breath of air and squealed! Then she ran upstairs to change into the outfit.

I used matching grosgrain ribbon to trim the pants and coordinate the shirt. I have never made bows before, but I thought the ones on the sleeve turned out nice. Total cost for everything, shirt, jeans, fabric, ribbon came to less than $10.
Hopefully my friend will get a pic to me soon so I can post one of J. wearing it.

After doing this, I have plans to make her big sister a sleeping beauty themed outfit.

Adorable! I love it! I am shopping right now for a little girl who loves Dora and I was thinking of making her an outfit! I think I might make something similar to this. It would be quicker and easier and is oh so cute! I have the exact same fabric sitting here too!

Here are the shirts I made for my kiddos for our trip 2 weeks ago. For DD, I simply sewed on grossgrain ribbon and the appliqued the minnie head. I also made the matching bows for DD's hair. I found a red and white polka dot skirt at wal mart that she wore the shirt with. It was so fun to make. Ds's shirt is just the head appliqued.

Those are adorable! I'm plannin on making a few of these for our trip in May.

Too Cute!! But I have a completely lame sewing question... How did you sew the ribbon and the ruffles onto the jeans? Did you open the seams up at the bottom? Please Help!!! The outfit looks so great!!!
