Where is everyone finding these really cute fabrics?

I think the pink Mickey fabric was from Walmart

What about the others?

I will have to make a trip to WM, but it is a trip to get there so let me know what else to look for.

Well, I'm officially obsessed! :rotfl: Here's the next in the lineup - this awesome purple princess sparkly toile fabric. It's a little big on her now, but should be okay by Dec.

I still have the colorful princess fabric, some pooh toile, tinkerbell and just got fabric for Animal Kingdom yesterday. Now, what to start next . . .

That is soo cute! You did such a great job!

I get most of my fabric at walmart. I did hit a hobby lobby a few weeks ago and saw some other cute stuff. Some walmarts are not going to carry fabric cut by the yard though so their pickings are slim.

oh so someone asked about boy outfits. we are leaving in 14 days. I am feeling over prepared but still sewing more outfits!!!

I love this fabric! Out fits using this fabric usually go for quite a bit on e-bay. I bought 3 yards, a pattern for a dress, and handed all to my mother (who EVERy year made us Halloween and Easter outfits, and sis and I used to win awards every year) and said PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does this fabric really go for quite a bit? I bought an outfit a while back with this fabric and got a good price, I guess I got lucky b/c now that I did an ebay search they are going for a lot! WooHoo! I love it, I believe I posted a pic of dd in it the other day!

WOW, those are sooo cute! Makes me wish I had a boy! You did a great job and I am so jealous that you are leaving in 14 days. Oh and you can never have too many outfits ;)

Here are a couple pictures of my DS in his Disney gear, the shorts in the first pic have mickey heads on the sides (they were a little tight).

And a pic of my DD in one of her outfits. The shirt and skirt are from two different sellers. I bought all the Disney gear off Ebay except for the family shirts posted pages ago ;)

I think the "family pic" from that ebay search is just weird! Maybe they are hoping to get noticed??? :goodvibes jen

You guys are just the CUTEST family ever!

Can I just throw a suggestion out there to all the Ebayers? If you are going to make a cute Ariel dress and put it on your daughter, and then take pictures of her in it to put on Ebay, make sure her face is clean and there is NOT SNOT running into her mouth!!! EWWWW!!!!

Thanks everyone for posting boy outfits! They (the outfits AND the boys) are all so cute! Need to start sewing for DS now.

Thank you for your kindness!!! :lmao:

You're welcome!:rotfl2:

I usually lurk more than I post, but had to say these outfits added tonight are really cute! There were a bunch added and they are all so cute. I saw that purple fabric and couldn't think what to do with it. Brain freeze... But I love it with the purple and white gingham. Now why didnt I think of that...:confused3 :goodvibes

HELP! ive successfully muddled thru 2 twirl skirts and am working on a 3rd for a friends dd. PLEASE give me suggestions on an easy way to gather. i do the typical "2 long running stitches side by side, then pull the strings and keep working the fabric around". but i must say its a pain in the butt! especially if youre making a skirt for a older girl. anyone have ANY suggestions that could make this process easier? the first 2 skirts turned out cute- not so pretty on the inside because im still new at this- but someone once said on here that their motto was "done, not perfect". i agree! however, i do get frustrated after ive gathered for what seems like forever and then i pin and sew to next layer, only to discover it was "more gathered" in certain spots! whats the trick to getting the same fullness all the way around and then making it fit the next layer?

sorry so long.....im just frustrated and tired! and on a deadline with a lot of other stuff to do!

thanks for the help!

Cute kids, cute clothes. I am off to "attempt" a Pluto Poodle skirt. Here goes nothing. It will probably take me till tomo to finish it since I have to work around a rambunctious 4 yr old and when she sleeps..LOL First I have to go find the snotty Ariel outfit. You find really good ones Theresa. That guy is still imbedded in my brain. LOL

Alright - newbie here, both to these boards and to sewing! But, y'all have got me hooked! I'm hoping now that y'all can provide some help/direction to get me off to a good start!

I'm VERY interested in learning to sew some simple styles - pillowcase dresses/tops, twirl skirts, and maybe even some applique (don't know how difficult that is!). My only sewing experience thus far has been 7th grade home-ec (long since cleared from my 'hard-drive') and a felt carrot-shaped treat bag that I winged for my dd for Halloween a couple years ago - so, not much!

I'd love some pattern suggestions, directions, or sites that might help me along - so that one day I can post some super-cutie pics like y'all!
