how sad when you cant even stay away from this thread long enough not to have two posts back to back!:rotfl2:

Right there with ya! I have done this several times myself!:thumbsup2

I've seen where people are starting to list the long sleeved t-shirts with the fur cuffs (already and it's only June) Of course I want one of these!!! How do you make them? Anyone have any experience making these? Where do you find the fake "fur"? I was wondering if you could do it by velcro so you could change out the colors of the fur on a white tee? Any pics of anyone having one of these?

I purchased these last year on ebay (of course!), they are not fur they are crocheted (sp?) and are removeable, they just slip on like a bracelet. We (I ;) ) loved them, my daughter could have lived without them!

Just had to add this was one of the last times I could get her to wear a hair bow, sniff, sniff:sad1: !

I saw instructions for this under "clothing embellisments" on Youcanmakethis.com It even had removable cuffs, so you can change the color of the cuff or wash it without the fur getting matted. Sounds good to me.

Hi Camping Griswalds, did you get my PM? I was asking about the autograph book. Do you still have a copy of it?

CASTLECREATIONS---Do you use a satin stitch or an embroidery machine for your appliques. They look great! LOVE the dress!!!

Hi, I used a sating stitch and hand pieced the face. I have been working on a Dora one today, that I thought I would have done by now...LOL

Thanks castlecreations. Any tips for getting a nice, even line around those Mickey ears? I can't stand jagged edges. I'm a little nervous.

Anyone looking for the Minnie Dot fabric, hancock fabrics has it online 40% off up to 5 yards. That makes it $2.40 per yard! Happy shopping!

Did you have a code? I saw the fabric, but I don't see a code anyplace. Thanks!

it is very addicting!!! I just tried to post some pictures but my post count is too low. haha i guess I better get to chattin!

I think you only need 10 posts to post pictures, so you aren't too far away! If you've got some cute pictures, we want to see them! Get busy posting!

You can go to the community board, there are threads there just to build up your post count!

I just got mine in the mail! I was so excited!!! Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with it!

OMG, I didn't know I needed special clothes for our trip, but how cute would my kids be! lol I love the pics you guys have posted and can't wait to either make something or buy it for our trip. I bet I could get grandma to buy them. :lmao:

ETA: So after looking at prices, I guess I need to whip out my sewing machine. ;) Plus I haven't found anything small enough for Ilana. She'll be maybe 16.5# when we go.

I've purchased the faux fur at Joann Fabrics. They should be coming out with a lot of different fur options shortly for Halloween. It's very simple to sew it to the sleeves of a t-shirt. It would be more complicated to figure out how to attach it with velcro. Maybe you could do it as a cuff where the velcro is attached to the inside of the cuff. You could slide the cuff into place on the sleeve where you've sewn the other side of the velcro. It might be sort of bulky, though.

Grest idea. I will have to try maybe sewing one directly onto the shirt, and one onto velcro. The shirts go for 40 bucks on e-bay. unless the fur is really expensive, that seems a little pricey to me!

OOOHHHHH

I love the cuffs!!! I also like the simple initial tee! That is the way I'd like to brave my first applique. I just don't know how to make an alphabet letter that big on my computer to print out. If any savy computer person knows how, I'd love an "A" and possibly a "G" and an "M".

My daughter has just started to wear her hair in "pretties" every day. She has always loved hats, so I am thrilled that she also like things in her hair! My mother in law gave me a card at my baby shower and wrote in it, "may she love hats as much as we want her to." I can't believe it came true! So I know how you feel when you get sad about your daughter not wanting to wear hairbows anymore. Just thinking of it makes me super sad!!

OK, not Disney related but here is my first attempt at the twirl skirt. I used the free instructions someone posted a while back. It's not perfect at all but my dd loves it anyways. I want to try the patchwork.

I just pm'd you back. Someone else sent me a copy of the autograph book, I have it saved on my desktop, but don't know how to send it to someone else from there. Any simple instructions anyone has, I will try. Sorry, I'm not so swift at lots of computer things!
