I just wanted to let eveyone know that I added an Eye Spy Bag pattern (directions) to the bookmarks along with links to the YCMT Twirls for Girls Charity patterns.

The Eye Spy Bag looks pretty neat. Has anyone tried one of these before? I'm thinking it might be a good thing for our religious meetings to help Lydia hold still in her noisy dress!

The eye spy bag is under toys, the YCMT patterns are under Charity and Dolls.

Me and Spongie made these too! Except we made it pillow (no handle) and made a pocket in the back of it to hold the laminated list of things to search for! Easy Peazy Lemon Squeezy!

You can use RICE too! Works just as well as the pellets.

I also have one made in a pop bottle with bird seed in it that is in our car for trips...it's WELL used.

POLY POCKET shoes are a neat findy thing!

what is everyone woking on today?

Just got back from sitting in Mcdonalds for 2 hours with my 3 and 2yo lolol.. Their first time in the play area. Now they are about to knock out.... yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

I am determined to get the stripwork jumper I started 3 weeks ago done this weekend along with my 8yo's pants for HSM on Ice that's next week.

Than start on Christmas outfits..

During mon-thur is impossible to sew because I also watch a 11mo and a 3 1/2 yo.

Did anyone see that a certain gentleman appears to have started a customs business on :wizard:?;) There is a very familiar christmas dress and the little one has a very familiar face;) ...it is about time!!! You do fabulous work and anyone would be lucky to have one of your creations!!!

Yep.. I am the highest bidder on one but I am sure I will be outbid lol

We do! I can't even imagine living all the way in Colorado! Brian is always saying he wants to move to the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan). I just tell him that he is going to really miss us up there all alone! :
:rotfl2: I would be in Heaven if I was only a few hours away in the UP. The drive from Colorado takes forever...hahaha...well it seems like forever when you are not a road-type gal. Even though I hate to fly I prefer to get there faster by airplane!! I am definitely going to Michigan this next summer, if not before. My twin sister who lives in Oregon is going with me!!! Yeah!!!

I am VERY blessed to have such a wonderful family. We all live close together. The furthest cousin we have is an hour away! Four of my cousins (including myself) live right next door to their mother/father. I really feel for you being so far away from family. At least Colorado is a beautiful place to be!!
Only an hour away...man you guys really are lucky!!! Colorado is a beautiful state but there's nothing like being close to the ones you love! I wish we were headed there for Thanksgiving but this year we are spending it with my DH's family in Arizona! However, he waited forever to get the tickets and now we fly out at 12:45pm on Thanksgiving DAY and by the time we get to his parents house it will be after 6pm....BUT they are all eating Thanksgiving dinner at 1pm!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes1 So I hope there are some leftovers...not my favorite way to spend Thanksgiving Day!!! Oh well. Hahahaha

I just have to tell you all that I am ALMOST done with my GRINCHY outfit!!!! I just have to finish up all the appliques I am doing!!! I really hope to have to done this weekend. I am excited to post pictures and see what all you PROS think!!!

Okay I am off to take my little one to her tap dancing class. Have a good day everyone!!! :cool1:

OK thank you to all of you for the Birthday wishes. I didn't get some of my list done yesterday I lied cheated and flirted. And none of it was Directed at my hubby.:rolleyes1 Ok I won't leave you hanging. Well half hour before I I was supposed to be at Megan's eye apt I was still finishing laundry I had just put the laundry to dry for 45 minutes. So I called and told the lady I was stuck in traffic and I could not make and could I reschedule. I went to cash the cans in and had an out of town coupon (cheating) But got it anyway's because I said man will nothing go right on my birthday. He said I hear yak I had to work two jobs on my bday. :rolleyes1 I replied poor thing two jobs that must have sucked.   1.95 for cans :woohoo: :woohoo:. So there you have it I lied cheated and flirted. Then I shopped at joanns without kids or hubby with two gift cards for 2 hours it was heaven. Sorry for the ramble scramble. Have a great day all and I love all the new fabric and outfits. Keep sharing the more you share the more I can case. :lmao: :rotfl2:
Wow, 2 hours at Joann's with TWO gift cards? That sounds wonderful. *sigh*

I got all of the fabric cut out to make 2 stripwork skirts for Tessa and her cousin, Shylynn, for Christmas. It's going to be alternating sparkly candy cane stripe and some blue sparkly fabric with Christmas type candy and gingerbread men.

We're going to Arizona (Wellton, which is near Yuma) to do Christmas with DH's family. But, we're having an early Christmas (we'll be there from Dec. 8-15). I am NOT looking forward to the flight!! I don't mind flying, but we've never flown with 2 little kids. I remember how hard it was when Tessa was Sawyer's age. :sad2:

I would like to make DD a pair of Grinch Decoupage jeans. Does anyone have a scrap or two (of Grinch fabric) they would be willing to part with? I can't find any fabric, and I really would only need a few good scrap squares? Anyone?

I am trying to finish up 3 pairs of pajamas for Christmas pictures (to be made Thanksgiving week). I also need to make a Minnie twirl skirt for a friend of my son. We never got her a b'day present -- we were out of town for her party. Her dad is running in the marathon in January, so she will be going to Disney World. I thought I would make an outfit for her b'day present and she can wear it to the World.

I am also fixing to start a Christmas outfit for DD, hopefully I can get it finished and she can wear it Thanksgiving weekend.

Thought I'd share the peasant top pattern from YCMT that I made for dd...I think it turned out OK, but the sleeves are a little short. I had some leftover snowman fabric from the stipwork jumper, so I used it for this top. I also did the ruffle with my new ruffler foot, and I am so, so happy that I bought the ruffler foot and return the gathering foot!

Hmm..is it weird to wear snowman when you live in Houston, where it doen't even snow? LOL

This is soooo cute! And we wear snowmen here in Florida, you know, where it ALWAYS snows!:rotfl: :rotfl2: Is this the portrait peasant top?

Aw, that's cute! The sleeves on Tessa's peasant blouse/nightgown were a little short, too. What's up with those wacky peasant blouse patterns?

That's the peasant top by Daintydesigns. Three years ago, we actually had snow on Christmas morning...of course, they melted pretty quickly but just to wake up and have snow was pretty exciting for most around here!

Ok, guys, I need some help! I need to make a bag for my DD to carry her stuff to dance class. I need something over the top cute, and quick. She has her first class on Tuesday night - I need to get it done by then. Any suggestions?

I like the top it's very cute.

I am hearing so many people ask questions and having problems I am scared to even try to attempt one. let alone 3 of them. It looks so simple to make. I wonder why it is so tuff.

Too many fabulous customs to list in the past few days! Great job DISers, as usual!!! With a little encouragement, I'm braving out & posting my 1st attempts at Mickey appliques. Just mailed these off to my niece & can't wait for her to where them to Disneyland! They're not perfect but my 1st "practice" at this

I had asked this a few days ago and no one seemed to have any. :sad2:

Josephine wore this to school yesterday. it has nursery rhymes all over it. I made capri length cut on the bottoms and I think they may be a tad toooo small.

What am I up to today?! Working on a nervous breakdown! Why does everything have to be complicated? I feel like I'm on an episode of HeeHaw "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!" I drove right past Hancocks and didn't even stop! That's how bad of a day I was having!

That's how I felt before I found Mickey snowball fabric at WM in Bowling Green! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: My dgd is going to  her Nana when she sees what I make for her with that! She adores Mickey and doesn't know that she can't go to wdw with us yet :sad1: . I'm hoping that since she's only 2, she won't grasp the idea and we're gonna try to keep the wdw talk out of her earshot while she's here next week!

This is what I found but now I am uncertain about it. I can't decide if I want to make pants or a dress, Or a twirl top with Jeans.

Anyone have any suggestions for a girl who is 6 almost 7?

I looked for some of that red stuff today, but didn't find any, lucky you! I would make a twirl top w/jeans or a peasant dress for that age.

I love that top, very simple and very cute! My dh and two of my dds are in West Virginia this weekend, and they called to tell me it was snowing this morning!!!!!

I made a really easy back back style bag that was made with fat quarters. Let me know if you want the pattern number. The kids and I had fun picking out the fat quarters, but you could use scraps. I also appliqued a letter on it to personalize it.

Ok, I found these sneakers and I thought only you ladies (and man) would appreciate them. They remind me of the decoupaged jeans, but with ribbon. My husband says they are the ugliest things he has ever seen!

I should take a picture of my feet too. I walked the dog in them yesterday and when I got home both heels were bleeding! I also have a blister on my big toe. But they are cute, aren't they?

Ok Mindy, my big project will be in the next post and it includes shirring! Get ready! :yay:
