Ok, I found these sneakers and I thought only you ladies (and man) would appreciate them. They remind me of the decoupaged jeans, but with ribbon. My husband says they are the ugliest things he has ever seen!

I should take a picture of my feet too. I walked the dog in them yesterday and when I got home both heels were bleeding! I also have a blister on my big toe. But they are cute, aren't they?
Ok Mindy, my big project will be in the next post and it includes shirring! Get ready!![]()
Ok, here it is, the most favoritest thing I have ever made and it is for another kid! My neighbor has two little girls, two and six year old. I made the two year old a jumper top and am going to ribbonify some jeans for her and this is what I made for Megan's friend. It was a great learning experience so I don't mind spending so much time on it. And, she was admitted to the hospital last night with breathing problems so she has had a rough week. I need to finish the inside seams of the corset and add a ruffle to the peasant top but then I hope to take it to her tomorrow.
The peasant top is the Dainty Designs one and gave me a few fits. The corset was incredibly easy and shirring is fun! Thanks to Mindy for the encouragement and I hope the baby butt is better!

Too many fabulous customs to list in the past few days! Great job DISers, as usual!!! With a little encouragement, I'm braving out & posting my 1st attempts at Mickey appliques. Just mailed these off to my niece & can't wait for her to where them to Disneyland! They're not perfect but my 1st "practice" at this....
here's the hair bow that I attempted to match (never trying this again!!!):![]()

Well, I'm off to pick my son up from his preschool Thanksgiving Feast! Have a great day!![]()
Josephine wore this to school yesterday. it has nursery rhymes all over it. I made capri length cut on the bottoms and I think they may be a tad toooo small.

I made a really easy back back style bag that was made with fat quarters. Let me know if you want the pattern number. The kids and I had fun picking out the fat quarters, but you could use scraps. I also appliqued a letter on it to personalize it.

I just wanted to let eveyone know that I added an Eye Spy Bag pattern (directions) to the bookmarks along with links to the YCMT Twirls for Girls Charity patterns.
The Eye Spy Bag looks pretty neat. Has anyone tried one of these before? I'm thinking it might be a good thing for our religious meetings to help Lydia hold still in her noisy dress!
The eye spy bag is under toys, the YCMT patterns are under Charity and Dolls.

Only an hour away...man you guys really are lucky!!! Colorado is a beautiful state but there's nothing like being close to the ones you love! I wish we were headed there for Thanksgiving but this year we are spending it with my DH's family in Arizona! However, he waited forever to get the tickets and now we fly out at 12:45pm on Thanksgiving DAY and by the time we get to his parents house it will be after 6pm....BUT they are all eating Thanksgiving dinner at 1pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I hope there are some leftovers...not my favorite way to spend Thanksgiving Day!!! Oh well. Hahahaha

We're going to Arizona (Wellton, which is near Yuma) to do Christmas with DH's family. But, we're having an early Christmas (we'll be there from Dec. 8-15). I am NOT looking forward to the flight!! I don't mind flying, but we've never flown with 2 little kids. I remember how hard it was when Tessa was Sawyer's age.![]()
I would like to make DD a pair of Grinch Decoupage jeans. Does anyone have a scrap or two (of Grinch fabric) they would be willing to part with? I can't find any fabric, and I really would only need a few good scrap squares? Anyone?
Hey, Mousetriper changed her siggy pic! I like it!! Very cute!

I agree about being close to family. We used to live on the MS Gulf Coast & we loved it, but it was a 9 hour drive to family & esp. with little kids that's just too far.
.
I have a question about patterns...normally a pattern is for multiple size, and since my dd wears a size 5 right now...is there a way to not cut the pattern so I can still use it for the bigger sizes?
I went to Joann's today and they had alot more Disny fabric than normal. I didn't see any "new" fabrics, just more than they usually carry.
You can trace off the size you need onto tissue paper, or if it's something you think you'll be using several times you can trace it onto stuff called Pattern Ease. It's like interfacing without the iron on stuff, and it's sold at fabric stores (not sure about walmart) with all the other interfacing. I use this for most of my projects, you just have to be sure to get all the marks you'll need for matching pieces.
