I love it! I missed the brown sparkly, but I did get some pumpkins for next year! :cool1:

Wow, someone's done their homework!!!! Do you have some that you can post pics of? I'm not too familiar with them, and can't decide if I like them or not.

This is the pic that I wanted to CASE. I'm sure you know where it came from. :wizard:

WOW! Nice applique.

Cute outfit. I really like this fabric. Did you get it from Hancock's?

Very cute!

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Cindee! Your dd looks so pretty and I'm also glad you didn't post pics of the castle!! I can't wait to see it... 15 days!!!!!!!

I have to brag...I'll see it in 5 days.

I have seen lots of talk about peasant top patterns recently and it got me to thinking.
The red shirt Morgan is wearing in the parade pic is a REALLY easy peasant top. I started with Simplicity 3680. (Which is a costume dress pattern). I just made it shorter and shirred the top and sleeves. I made one for her pirate outfit and got the whole thing done in about 45 minutes. I think I have made 4-5 tops this way (One I followed the directions and used bias tape and elastic-took WAY too long) I shir 4-5 rows around the neck and 2 on each sleeve. And the pattern comes with long and short sleeves.

Cindee

I use Simplicity 5118. I've never had any problems with it. It does show to have a seam on the front, but I usually just use the back piece twice. It also has a pants pattern & a dress pattern.

Anyone knows who makes the most authentic cinderella costume patterns out there? I bought one (by Simplicity) but DH doesn't think that it is authentic...so I am trying to see if I can find another one. One that has a size 5/6 pattern for my dd. This is something that I am going to "attempt" before our next trip. Thanks!

Simplicity made a fantastic pattern. I bought mine on ebay. I will look up the pattern number for you. It is right out of the movie!

Here is the Airplane Princess dress.

Aimee!!! I LOVE this!!! WOW!

Let's hear it for brown sparkly fabric! party: I feel like writing a poem:

Oh fabric so brown and sparkly,
You are so very very pretty.
Why do you hide and make me all panicy?
Don't you know ruffles are your destiny?

Thank you, thank you. I will accept paypal payments for royalties if you plan to use this poem in the future.
That is so beautiful. I have tears.
A-hem!! You live in Michigan because that's where your dear sister is.

You better just KNOCK IT OFF!!! My DH won't move to Florida, so Teresa can't either! Besides, we'd have to bring along my mom and dad, my brother, all the cousins, aunts and uncles. I guess grandma could come along...if she wants.
I could never go that far away from you. Grandma yes, you and Mom, never! I clarified that in another post. 20 minute maximum!

i am gonna try to finish my DD's Thanksgiving outfit today if my hip stops hurting, i fell down our stairs this morning and landed directly on my left hip :scared: but i want to post the picture anyway. mind you that is mostly pinned together so it is not perfect and i have to fix the ruffles on the pants..
th_Halloweenandnov050.jpg

everyone have a great day.
OOOOWWWWWW Misty! I hope you are ok!

I love this outfit Misty! It looks great!
Heather I didn't know you are a talented writer as well!!!
A girl of many talents!

I LOVE these!! Thanks for the instructions. TERESA will have to make some for our whole family for our May trip!
I'll get right on that!
I did start Courtney's autograph book though!!! Yeah!!! :woohoo: We are in the process of Modpodging and stickering!
Um, thank you for thinking of me. I guess.
You are very welcome!

Weird thing though. I wrote this, and then left for the afternoon. When I got home, my favorite fish was DEAD! Coincidence???????

coming out of lurkdom to give praise for all the great things posted lately!!!

I have forced myself to take a sewing hiatus (for a couple of weeks) to try and finish a Christmas stocking (cross-stitch) that I PROMISED my SIL would be ready for my nephew this Christmas. It's going to be close.

But I love everything! I miss my sewing machine! Wah!

I started a cross stitch when I was pregnant with Corey. It's not done yet. He's 15.

This is WAY OT, so I'll just post a link.

I wrote a funny story today and posted it on the Community Board. The word 'funny' is subjective, though.

It's called, "CRAP! We Have Mice! A Docu-drama:"

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=21794373#post21794373

Enjoy!

Oh my gosh Wendy!!!! That is SOOOOOO funny!!! I too can see Corey doing this!

There use to be a more authentic looking one out, but it's out of print. I don't know who made it or the pattern number. I know, big help, huh?

Arminda and Lydia both want an authentic silver Cinderella dress. Now, where in the world do I find fabric like that????

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Oh my gosh, that's so funny!!!! I think I'd like your son. This sounds like something my nephew would do!!

That's what I though too!

Joann's also has some new Disney fabric. They have the 2 Buzz Lightyear fabrics, a flannel High School Musical, and a Muppets flannel with Miss Piggy, Kermit and maybe some others on it. I thought of you, UtahMama, when I saw it. Here is the green Buzz. It wasn't on sale so I only bought 15 inches.
disboutique101.jpg

I love this Buzz fabric!

HO-kay...this is the EASY dress I done-did last night in less than 2 hours plus this morning's zipper adventure.

It's a tad long but I like it! It looks like she's from a polygamist family :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (which I hope at least one of you "got")

Butterick B4906 view B with added pockets(99cents at Hancock) The instructions are super simple and plain. OR, I'm getting better at reading pattern instructions?

This was for the Teddy Bear Picnic today at her Over-Priced Preschool. I got stopped a dozen times, which I secretly LOVE! :rolleyes1

I love this cute dress Wendy!!! Nora is so adorable!
My next sewing center will be one that I can be using my embroidery machine , my regular sewing machine , as well as my serger and swivel from one to the other...;) ;) ;) My Serger is a 12 year old Kenmore but if it were to totally keel-over I would buy the Brother Serger from Walmart.com.  Nana
Just be careful you don't get dizzy!
Sooo YAY my mail man brought me goodies today. I will have a busy weekend for a few new outfits for our trip! I am not a huge fan of the over loaded fabric and the same ones might I add of Tinker Bell. But I saw the pink and Black ones and HAD to have them... for G of course not me. haha

DSCN2636.jpg

Oooh yeah. when I rolled up the coins we had a grand total of *drum roll please* $167 in change!!! :dancer: now all the is gonna buy us what a sweatshirt and a few pairs of mickey ears haha.

I love the black Tink!!!!

YEAH for your coin money!!!!

Thank you! I was using Balmex which seems to be the cause of it, she might be allergic! The doctor told me she was glad I came in today, because if I had not it would have turned into a staph infection! Glad I went!

Thank goodness you took her in! Poor baby and Mommy. I sure hope it starts getting better real soon!

Aren't we all;) ? Very cute! I thought about a similar one for dd to wear in the winter here so she could wear sweats underneath, but ironically I was thinking the same thing. I thought we get enough comments as it is when we sneak into Walmart after church:rolleyes1 , and thought that may just push us over the edge :rotfl2: But,anyway, I think the dress is too cute. I need to start trying some non-disney outfits:scared1:

I have to brag...I'll see it in 5 days.

Are these lights something that will be around in late January or is it just through Christmas? If it is just for the holidays, will someone please PM the photo to me? Thanks! Oh who am I kidding, I'm not waiting. Send me the photo someone!

The castle looks beautiful!!! Are there strands of none lit lights hanging in the day? Does it still look okay with lights like that?? Meaning not lit up.

If you are standing RIGHT in front of the castle you can notice the lights during the day. But the lights tend to blend in with the castle. I don't think the lights during the day take anything away from the castle.

For all those wanting to see the Castle lights there are a couple of threads under the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies heading. There is one that is posted that is big enough to use as your desktop. There are also pics of what it looks like during the day.

Well, now my DS at least has 2 shirts that aren't just Mickey head, but it is still a T-shirt. Here's what I did with the Buzz fabric, my DH said he would even wear one :yay: .

1) All the outfits posted the last few days are gorgeous, as usual!

2) I have 2 things in the works - both similar to aimeeg's recent postings of her Cinderella applique dress (mine is not a princess, though) and the princess skirt (mine is Christmas, though) Great minds think alike!! (or at least have the same good taste in ebay finds! :rotfl: )

3) I also have that very same black and white Tink fabric coming to my house I hope tomorrow! Again, great minds think alike! ;) I can't wait to have it in my hot little hands - I think I already have an idea for it!

4) I SO very much want to click on those links to the castle all lit up for Christmas. I've always been one of *those* type of people - you know - the kind that snoops for their presents and such? And then if I do find something, I'm all excited for about a minute, then I really regret spoiling the surprise. I'm really gonna try hard to refrain. must. not. click.

Hope everyone's having a good night. Gotta get back to sewing (and of course watch Grey's!)

Very cute!

Thank you!

Thank goodness you took her in! Poor baby and Mommy. I sure hope it starts getting better real soon!

Thank you! I can't stand to hear her crying!:sad1: I know it hurts. I am just praying that we will wake up in the morning and it will be better!

Cool! I have this fabric, now I know what to do with it!

OMG!! The Castle is beautiful! Definately makes up for the pepto-pink pics. awhile back!!

I can completely understand that! Brian knows that we can not move more than 30 minutes from my family, and actually, I'm thinking 15 is really my limit. (Hear that Heather?!? don't move any further away!) I would miss my family so much if we lived further away.
You are very fortunate to live so close to your family!!! I wish I was able to live by mine!!! Enjoy every minute!!!

Here is the Airplane Princess dress.
