Hi All! I'm just popping in to share a pic or two of the outfit I made DD for Thanksgiving. I've had it done for almost a week, but I just took pics this afternoon.

ETA: Oops!! I accidentally double-posted! So, here's a shameless picture to fill the void. This is my whole family when we went to the world in 2004 and Tessa welcoming you to Walt Disney World, and Tessa waiting for a tram, all in 2004:

I love those pictures!

am I the only one who thinks the lil turkey looks like he could be a cousin of the littlest pet shop... :cutie:
I do !

Okay, I know the owner of this adorable outfit and child said that she did not make the pants, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a pattern for these? :confused3 I love them and want to make my DD4 a pair, but I am sooo running out of time and I've looked everywhere and it seems that I can't find anything! :scared1: I know some of you experienced seamstress' may could help me out! TIA!:flower3:

There is a bloomer pattern in the bookmarks under pants.

First: T-beri IGNORE your PM's and use this. I was re-reading the PM's I sent you and I think I was slipped something at dinner.

Wrap pants:

I hope this helps and isn't too confusing. it's VERY simple to do, just kind of complicated to explain.

Thanks for these directions! I've added these to the bookmarks.

So far I have cut the fabric out for all three overalls and I believe I am going to have enough. Unless something goes horribly wrong.:scared: . I know I have a month left to get this done but I promised my self I was not going to be up late Christmas eve finishing them. Thanks for the support. :grouphug: I am headed off to sew wish me luck. If I would have known my sewing machine was going to be my greatest enemy. I would have asked for a glue gun. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Yeah!!!!

My son went to the dentist for the first time in April (he was 5) and he had 8 cavities. He had to get 4 silver caps and have 4 baby root canals. I felt like the worst mom in the world. Don't feel bad!!! I learned that day that having bad teeth can be heriditary. I also learned that day that my MIL went to the dentist once and had 40 cavities. Yes, I said 40! 20 on one side and 20 on the other. My husband's grandmother had all her teeth pulled for false teeth at 35 years old b/c hers were bad as well!

It runs in our family. I have horrible teeth problems. It's awful!

This is SOOO cute! I love the pumpkin vine!

My internet has been done and I have now close to 200 pages to read! We will see if it happens. LOL

Here is what I have been working on.

Very nice Aimee!
I have nightmares about going to the dentist when I was a kid...there was no fluoride and we had an old Navy dentist...I was 6 and had a toothache...my mom sent me to the dentist alone. He said he was going to have to pull my tooth and I said NO...so he pulled my ponytail and tied me to the chair with a sheet! and he pulled my 6 year permanent molar....I have that space to prove it to this day...

and I always had tons of cavities every visit...and the old drill, no speed drill no water with it...I HATED IT....

my kids got sealants on their teeth and we have fluoride in our water...they never had one cavity ever....

so, do they still do that? I thought they would have horrible cavities like I had...a mouth full of root canals and crowns...how I hate the dentist!
Oh my gosh, that is so awful, you poor thing!
So on Sunday we went to the zoo. I made these little pants to match her fall shirt. My husband asked if it was something I wore as a kid! HEHE
oh and these are kim possible pants and shoes I bought last fall and were big then and fit perfect now!

I love the outfits!!! Too cute!

Okay, who jinxed this thread? After many years of playing basketball, volleyball, training and running a marathon I NEVER sprained my ankle. Today as I was coming down the stairs the phone started to ring so I picked up my pace to answer it and severely sprained my ankle. My DH thinks I did it so I don't have to clean the house for all his relatives. Please think positive thoughts for my foot since we leave in 27 days for WDW and we are commando style tourers. It's also my right ankle, which is my driving foot for the sewing machine.

Jham- love the thanksgiving outfit. Maybe next year she'll still be able to wear the top, it'll just be a little shorter. That's why I love the twirl skirts, just make them a little long for the first year and should still be okay for the next.

Aimeeg - the Cinderella dress is great. Such an original idea.

So cute! I love the fall outfit and your older daughter is looking so grown up! It's a good think she still likes Kim Possible, now that they fit right? I bought my daughter some pjs last spring when they were on clearance and I just got them out. I don't think she's even watched Kim Possible but when she saw the pjs she went crazy. I was so glad she liked them!

That bow on her head is so cute! I love that fabric, very nice outfit!

Thanks girls!

My shows are winding down. It has not been the best year but that is okay. I will try again next year. My heart is not in it anyway! I think I need a break. We leave in just over three weeks! I have a lot of sewing to do!!!

WOW! Great job on that! It is adorable! So is your daughter!!! What a cutie pie!

I cannot believe that happened and that you were alone!!! That is just awful!!

About the sealants....if sealants are to keep your teeth healthy, why don't they put them on everyone's teeth? My nephew has a little friend that has sealants on her teeth and she has the prettiest teeth. After I heard she had sealants, I kept thinking "why doesn't everyone have them"?

Okay, so, a while ago, after Heather finally got some more brown sparkly fabric, I found it! And I was so excited, I had to buy some, even though Heather already had hers! :rotfl2: It just suddenly seemed so rare and valuable! Then I started thinking, well, I have about one more week of fall before we switch over to Christmas attire, I should probably do something with that fabric. No way was I going to try to applique Cinderella, so I thought I'd just whip up what I call a "one week outfit". She'll only wear it for one week so who cares how it turns out. So I turned to my new favorite, the stripwork jumper and thought, hey, why not make some pants to go with it. How hard can that be? And I can just use my scraps, so it will be like free pants, right? I just found a pattern I had for some basic capris with one harmless ruffle and decided to ADD MORE RUFFLES! I don't know what I was thinking. Figuring that out and all that extra gathering was a lot of work for a one week outfit! (OWO). Then, since I was in experimental mode, why not try some fancy action on the pants leg? (Don't you dare tag fairy! I'd never dare to post outside this thread again!) I don't have a serger (yet:rolleyes1 another story, another day) so I wasn't about to ruche/rouche? (can't even spell it, let alone do it) a fabric strip. so I just gathered a scrap of ribbon and sloppily stitched it on thinking "pumpkin vine!" Then I went to applique my little pumpkin and realized that to attatch it to the vine and have it balance out, I'd have to attatch it upside down. Well sideways really. Oh well, OWO right? But I was surprised the applique went as well as it did. I used a narrower zig zag than usual because I'm used to appliqueing giant Mickey heads, but it turned out okay. Then I thought, I really need a peasant top to go under this! That was when sanity kicked in and I realized, waaaayyy too much sewing for a OWO! Besides, DD10 is begging for a peasant top with the pumpkin sleeves, so I'll make one for her and not the spoiled baby. Still...it would look cuter... enough already, here are the photos: (a little boy at Joanns today looked at her and asked "is that a costume?":rotfl: Kids cracky me up).

Isn't that brown sparkly fabric the coolest. :hippie: :hippie: I too got a yard of it when I got Heathers and it is now part of a blanket I made for my dn.

Sooooo cute! Your daughter is such a babydoll!

Heather I feel your pain on this one, my DD had 3 the first time she went to the dentist, 3 more six months later, 1 more that they just found at her appt on Monday. She also has to get two fillings replaced, one fell out and another one is loose! I don't feel like we should have to pay anything for the 2 replacements neither one is more than a year old!!!! I am very embarassed by the amount of cavities that she has had, my DS only a year younger, has had 1 cavity. I don't understand they eat the same things, I brush their teeth the same way DS must just have better teeth than DD! DS must have teeth more like mine, I didn't have my first cavity until I was in 6th grade, my DH on the other hand(as does my MIL) has a mouthful of fillings....it must be somewhat hereditary! Hang in there with Tessa, I know my DD HATES the dentist now. She is just terrified at what they are going to do, she will barely walk in the door for a cleaning!

My neighbor and good friend is a dental hygenist and cleans all of our teeth! My DD4, who thankfully has not had a cavity yet, has bad teeth. They are discolored and very weak. She told me it is because of all the antibiotics she had as a baby! She was on an antibiotic almost everyday for the first year of her life! So if your kids took meds while their teeth were coming in that could be the cause!

My internet has been done and I have now close to 200 pages to read! We will see if it happens. LOL

WOW! Adorable!

Aimeeg - the Cinderella dress is great. Such an original idea.

I cannot take credit for the idea. I saw it on ebay. It sold for $485. My DD saw it and asked me for it. I said sure I could do it. The face was a little tricky. I am finishing a princess petal skirt and starting the Little Einstiens tonight.

I love that peasant top -- too cute!!!! Both girls are gorgeous! I love Anastasia's shirt too, I bought the same shirt @ Gymboree a few weeks ago for my DD to wear next year!

I'm sorry about your foot but the comment you made about it being your driving foot for your sewing machine gave me the giggles!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I finally finished my "casual" princess outfits! Excuse the pics but my models were completely uncooperative today!
I added Aurora to DD1's pants:

This is the outfit I made for DD4:

Maybe I can post pics of them in the complete outfits tomorrow!

Just wanted to say thank you for your bookmarks! I have been in there all day!:) However, I've tried the bloomers but can't get anything to pull up! I guess that pattern has been removed!:confused3 Anywho, thanks so much!:flower3:

Thanks for the thank you and for the heads up on the dead link! It's hard to keep up with them all, I appreciate it when you guys let me know these things! :thumbsup2

ETA: this is weird, when I did a Google search for the link, it shows up. Try this: http://members.aol.com/ilove2lace/bloomer.html

Does that work?

I just redid the bookmark, and it seems to be working now.

I took the expert advise from Nurse CastleCreations :mickeybar and went to Magic Kingdom today. I am so GLAD I took the time for myself. Morgan had the BEST time. She was asked to be in the Family Fun parade. She LOVED it!!!!!! To see her at the grand finale waving an american flag in front of a crowd of people on mainstreet brought tears to my eyes. To think two short years ago this little girl was in a fosterhome a world away..........

We also saw the new lights on the castle. AWESOME!!!!! I didn't post the castle pics because I don't want to spoil it for those going to see it themselves. It is TRULY amazing!!!!!!!

My Mother called, her husband is out of surgery and doing ok. Hopefully thinks will start to calm down. Thank you for the prayers and good thoughts. Sorry for the whine:guilty: earlier.
