I found the Father Daughter Dance pictues. These are the dresses I made. I found this fabric at Walmart for $1 a yard! After I started these, I realized that I didn't have all the pattern pieces! So, I found someone on Ebay (I tried calling Simplicity, but they couldn't help me since it was an outdated pattern) selling it, and asked them to give me some measurements for the piece I didn't have. She gladly did it, which I thought was awfully nice!

Lydia, she had just turned 3 here.

Glorib- Love the Chip n Dale dress. I'm sure those 2 characters will go crazy when they see your DD in it.

I had to tackle a mountain of laundry today (no injuries occurred) so I didn't get much sewing done, just a couple of appliques for my DS.

This is for him to wear to Cinderella's Royal Table. The girls are wearing the Princess toile dresses with the bling carriage so I wanted something a little more *sophisticated* for him.

And this one is to wear at Epcot and dinner at Coral Reef.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Only 1 month until we leave :woohoo: .

Cute shirts! I absolutely LOVE the little Mickey Head on the polo - I feel a CASE coming on. . .:rolleyes1

Awwww! Those dresses are so pretty and so are your girls! What a sweet picture of your DH and your DDs!

I love all the new outfits posted and the cheer pics the girls father daughter dresses are adorable and a great price.

Off topic My family and I will be at Disneyland on christmas morning. I was wondering if anyone else from here will be?

I LOVE your applique - how do you get the circles so smooth with the thread? It just looks absolutely great!! So professonal - do you use a stabilizer underneath and then some wonder under with your pieces? Im trying to learn!! Thanks and GREAT job!!!

I've had a lot of practice doing circles with all the Mickey Heads I've done for my DS and 2DD. I do use Heat n Bond Lite and the Iron-on Sulky stabilizer that LisaZoe recommended. The trick is to go very slow and stop and hand turn your fabric (with the needle in the down position) so that your headed more in a straight line. Also I put my speed to the slowest so I make sure and go slow. Other than that just takes practice and patience. But thanks for the compliment.

I can't post pics for some reason...when I click on the "add image" it opens and lets me paste the link, but then when I click "ok" nothing else happens. What am I doing wrong?

Do you use a pattern for the travel pillow? Do you stuff it with batting or buy a pillow form?

Love this! Does the pattern for the dress come in larger sizes (12-14)?

I make the pattern myself. and then stuff it. they are nice, you can make them soft, med, or firm. how ever you like them.

here are some I made with the scraps from the skirt I made dd.

Add these to the cute little boy clothes I've seen on here the last two days. Love these even though I don't have a boy, I'll have to keep them in mind when my sister's baby (due 12/25) gets to go to WDW for the first time. Love what you guys are doing with the boy clothes!

Cute pictures of your girls together. Love the dresses too! What sweeties! My girls love each other too, it's so nice to see! I've seen other siblings who even at a young age (2 and 4) don't really love each other much. :sad1:

I Love those father daughter dresses! I cant believe that was in the $1 section. I love when I find good fabric there.

Thanks, they are 4 1/2 years apart, but they are really close. I
wasn't worried about the age difference, since Heather and I are 5 1/2 years apart, and we have always been best friends. It is sad when sisters don't get along, most of my friends with sisters didn't get along with them. I could never understand that, it's so sad.

As usual for me, these dresses were finished the day of the dance. Started the day of the dance too! So, I was in a REAL panic when I realized a piece of that pattern was missing!

I Love those father daughter dresses! I cant believe that was in the $1 section. I love when I find good fabric there.

Thanks!!! I thought it was such a good deal, I bought the whole bolt! It washes up really well too, which is always a plus for kids clothes!

I love these! Your daughter looks so beautiful!
We had this problem last year. Morgan cheered for the first time. Her coach was 15 and spent practice time fighting with her mother! No warm ups, no tumbling practice, nothing but line up and "cheer" It was terrible! Needless to say we did not cheer this year.

Cindee
That would be really disapointing! Poor Morgan (and Jord)

I love this combination (the whole thing is spectacular as usual) I LOVE mix and match sets I am making one for DD for a christmas present. I love the belt/ hair tie!!!

:cheer2: C'mon Robin you can do it, put a little power to it!:cheer2: I think your first attempt came out great!! Keep practicing

I LOVE this combo!!! I may have to use it for a christmas dress for Little!!!

Hi TJ!!!!

Hi T!

Thanks Lisa...I have looked in our Joann's and both Walmarts to no avail. I may order it online??

I find it hanging on the wall in Walmart, with the other elastic.

Ok so I finished my dd's skirt for our Disneyland trip. I have a few other outfits to make so we will see how those go. haha I dont know how much I like the skirt. seems likle something is just missing... what do you think?

This is adorable!!!!!
I would put the same ribbon you have on the skirt on the shirt, like at empire waist height.
(But, bling is always good too!)

Thanks Mindy!!! I needed some encouragement

Lisa!!! I found it:cool1: its www.fasionablefabrics.com Their MM prints are like 7.15-7.50 a yd.(for the most part) COOL. I remembered that when I was looking for it I was looking for the MM "forest" print and stumbled across them. so I went back and searched for Michael Miller christmas fabric and went through 13 pages till I saw the link  Sometimes I wonder how I ended up w/ a kid w/ an IQ of 135.:confused3

...t.

YEAH! T.!!! I'm glad you found it!

WooHoo! Mostly finished with Chip and Dale dress. I have some acorn buttons I need to figure out what I want to do with.

Pardon the crazy faces she's making - we had ice cream after dinner and she's been bouncing off the walls ever since! I'm considering myself lucky that she paused long enough for a couple of pics!

Now I've gotta go catch up on all the new posts!

She is so cute!!!! I love this outfit!!! That fabric is fantastic!

I've been recovering from a bug all week & became a temporary single parent while DH went hunting for 4 days.:sad2:
I hope you are feeling better. My hubby has Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off and doesn't go to work until 3 on Saturday, guess what he will be doing! How did your husband do?

BOPPYS!!!!!! (Don't worry, I know, but they LOOK like Boppys!) I made a Boppy once. Lydia nursed so long that our first one wore out, and I'm too cheap to pay full price! Well, that one wore out too, and then I found another one at a garage sale. Three Boppys in three years!

These are really cute! I might have to make some of these baby boppys!

okay1 i am kinda sad ! my ds4 asked me if i would sew him a Diego backpack for pre-school. so i did but it was small, he asked if it could be a lil bit bigger, so i said sure . i am sewing it tonight and while ironing fabric i barely brush my arm across the iron and I burn my arm  :scared:it is right on the part where i lay my arm down when i type or sewabout 3 inches from my wrist........ My arm is in a ice pack and i am crying ,:sad1: lil man is gonna be heartbroken that i did not finish it , i am hoping that he will be more concerened about my burn ..and forget . i just feel so bad because i have 5 kids and i, on more than one occasion push things aside that my kids ask me to do .....:guilty: anyone else do this ?
i am gonna take a pain pill and try to sleep . good night all

 Ouch...burns really hurt!!!! Hope you are feeling better!!! And don't get down on yourself about doing stuff for your kids...believe me...you do plenty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the fact that you are sewing them stuff is wonderful. But you are only one person among 5 kiddos (kiddos tend to take and take and take and take :rolleyes1 ) Make sure you do something nice for yourself even if it requires getting a sitter and you will come back feeling so much more refreshed!!! (Trust me I know! I have 3 underfoot right now!)

Okay I've been trying to keep up with this post but I swear it is impossible! I love all of the creations, the pink and brown is awesome, Love the chip and dale and all of the boy stuff is really cute. Anyway I just started at the end of page one and began with comments. I'm really sorry if anyone feels left out, Ibut I just haven't been able to keep up! Please forgive me!

So I spent my weekend out fabric shopping instead of sewing...:lmao: Check out these great new prints that I found. The colorful Mickey head, Turquoise Mickey, and Red drawn Mickey and Minne are all from Hancocks. The rest of the fabrics were from JoAnn. My JoAnn just got a bunch of new stuff in, some really cute Tinkerbell prints(I think three) and a new Pooh that I can remember. I only had one coupon, so I picked up the great new vintagey Mickey. I am going back today though to pick up something else!!! Ok my pics are done loading so here you go....

You know this is starting to bum me out... I was planning on making that peasant top for little's christmas dress. :confused3 has anyone NOT had problems making it??

Thanks Lisa. Man I wish I'd written down that other site when I found it.

...t.

Check your history on your computer to find the site. Hit the button on the top tool bar that looks like a stopwatch with an arrow going backwards. It will show you all of the sites that you have gone to for the last few weeks. HTH

Wow what a big help you've been  !!! Thanks so much. I will have to look for the thread....duh...I was looking in the "thread on a spool" rack.

Next, I took the plate off and you shoulda seen the dust bunnies under there  I have a little cleaning brush so I cleaned it up, filled my bobbin with thread and put it all back together and whaaaa laaaaaaa    it's working perfectly now! It wanted some TLC after sewing the skirt I guess :rolleyes1
Thanks again!!!!

Glad your machine is working again!!!

Hang in there, just take time for yourself and your burn. Us mommies put ourselves on the back burner too often trying to give our kids all that we can. You take care of yourself right now and finish the backpack when you are feeling up to it! He will still be excited when you finish it!!!
