OMG - the pose just makes this picture the BEST!! I love the outfit too, but her pose just makes me smile!!

Wow! Everything posted lately has been Fantastic! You all amaze me every day with your talents!

I finally got DD to want to "model" my Minnie set that I made.

HollyJollyMinnie035.jpg

I also made a matching jean and t-shirt combo to go with this, complete with "fur cuffs".
HollyJollyMinnie012.jpg

I know, the picture is "catty whompus"!
HollyJollyMinnie018.jpg

You can even put these two combos together for a different look.

Use the peasant top with the jeans, and take the belt and use it in the hair.

Yes, I am cheap, and I try to find ways to get several looks with just a few pieces! (Even if I did use white!) ;)
Ok, I just love the way that you've made all of this mix-n-match!! ALL of the looks are just outstanding!!!

WHEW!! I'm all caught up now!! I've been so busy that I've been reading and not replying! So, to all those that I didn't go back to reply on, all of the new outfits are adorable!!

CastleCreations - I'm happy to see pics of Ireland, and it looks like she's feeling better (I hope). And, who couldn't be happy wearing that Cindy Loo Who outfit!!

I'm in the middle of making Christmas twirl skirts for the girls. I wanted to get them done in time for their pics with Santa yesterday, but that just didn't happen. But, hopefully they'll be done in time for our day trip to MVMCP.

And finally, now that my coffee cup is empty, I'm all caught up on the DISboutique and I have piles of laundry and dirty dishes to deal with, here is a shameless post of my little cheerleader.

She's the one "on top" as the flyer (which makes this mom nervous). She cheers for a little flag football team, and they decided to go to a couple of local competitions. They got 1st place in both, nevermind that they were the only ones in their category, because their group is 26 little girls. :rotfl2:

Tom, as usual...simply gorgeous!!!! Oh yes, and the outfits are absolutely lovely too :goodvibes

For all those making things with the Pokemon fabric....can you post a pic of the fabric and tell me where you got it? We looked at Hancock but didn't find any :sad1: . My son is Pokemon obsessed and I would like to make him a couple of things -- since his sister gets lots of stuff. Thanks!!!

My mother made my son flannel pokemon pjs a couple of years ago. I'm not sure where she found the fabric, probably JoAnn's. I was in my local quilt shop and on the clearance shelf I found this:

If you'd like, I can check to see if they still have it next time I'm there and pick you up some.

Cute! I love the purple turkey outfit: looks very comfy! The candy appliqué looks great and the whole outfit is so cute!

Wow! I love the little holly buttons, such a nice touch! Everything looks great about this and I bet it will get a lot of wear!

Cool! I am afraid of buttons and collars too! That looks great and I can totally understand why the rest of your family wants one too!

Congratulations to the girls! They look so cute in the cheer-leading outfits. I can't believe little JoJo is lifting another little girl, wow!

Love the pink and the brown together! Very cute!

I have been wanting to try that petal skirt pattern too! Your rock star Minnie looks great!

I hope you are using that outfit for your Christmas card picture! She looks so adorable!

Gorgeous as always! AND you have your Christmas decorations up already! You guys are starting to make me feel like a slacker. I guess I need to get to work!

We almost went to the fair, but it's just too cold, and not to mention the seedy people that frequent there...yikes..

OMG...you are so right about the people...it wasn't too cold, but it seemed like it was white trash on parade. We only go evelry few years, and it's probably been about 4-5 since our last visit. We forgot the bad stuff somehow and always go back, lol.

Anastasia in the middle of a routine

and here is Josephine in her routine. she is the girl in the back on the right as a base!

Both there groups got first place!
Lori

Kirsta did her first year of cheer this fall. They didn't do well in Competition tho'. I don't get it, there were 5 teams competing, and they gave 4 awards. Couldn't they have an honorable mention? Little kids don't understand. Anyway, she did great herself, and I thank her ballet teacher for this. She's been in that for 3 years. I really think it helped. But boy is this expensive!! She loves it. Her FB team is in the playoffs, so we have a couple more cheer weeks ahead. I do realize that the coaches are volunteer, but her coach was awful. She was so disorganized and couldn't control the girls.

Wow!! Lots of gorgeous outfits!

I love the Cindy Lou Who outfit. The applique is wonderful and the skirt is beautiful. The fabrics you used were great for patchwork and the rick rack is a wonderful touch! Great Detail in that outfit. WHat kind of wire did you use for her braids? Green Florist wire?

Lori, I love your Christmas outfit too. Thanks for explaining that ruffle, I want to try that once I get all my fabrics.

Twob4Him I love your outfits. Were the appliqued letters hard? They are so cute.

Calypso! That Nemo shirt is so cute. You did a great job. I don't blame your family for wanting one! I want one too!

Princess FSW love your twirl skirt. It is adorable, what kind of top are you going to make?

Tom, I love the Christmas outfits:santa: Very cute. DId you use a pattern for the peasant top and dress? I love the fit of the peasant top. I wish I had a serger to make the rolled hem it is gorgeous in red. The photos are adorable too. Wow Love those Christmas decorations!

Congratulations to the little cheerleaders! :cheer2: I love the photos. All those little girls are so cute :cutie:

Wow great work everyone. I want to add some bling to DD store bought dress. Does anyone have any advice on what I can use to attach the bling? Also I have no sewing experience. What is a reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easy pattern to make? Thanks so much.

how adorable! 26 girls is a lot on a stage.
My youngest was a flyer originally in the group, but the base just would not put her feet right. Josephine could do either so she is a base now. oh and my 6year old is not small ebough for the flyer spot.

oh it is not cheap. The uniform each w/ bags shoes etc was at least a car payment! and they do nationals at DL so that will be fun - but spendy! They do not even cheer with a FB team. THis is just a competing team so they practice 3 hours a week, plus tumbling classes. it is timely and the gym is 35minutes away of straight freeway. When coachs are volunteer it is difficult. It is hardto make a point and tell them they need to do beter.
Lori

I haven't posted here since the summer when I made a couple ribbon shirts using iron on material. I actually tried to sew a Halloween ribbon shirt for my niece. I think I'll probably stick with using the iron on stuff. I really want to learn to sew like you all, but I don't have anyone to teach me!! I'm just struggling through it myself and it's so hard. Anyways, here's the shirt I made...

Thankfully, we only "rent" our uniforms for the year. And our original signup fee was for our practice shirt/shorts, socks, hair ties, bloomers & a bag. Then, we bought shoes separately. During the football season, they practiced 1.5 hrs, twice a week and had games about once a week. Now, for the competition squad, they have practices about the same amt, but no games.

It's been fun, and it's good for Emily, because she's actually a shy, reserved little girl, and it's helped to boost her confidence!!! And next year, Madison will be 4 and old enough to join too (which she's just itchin' to do, since big sister is doing it).

Here is something for all the boys out there!

Of course this could do for a girl too! I made it like the jeans where the edges will fray for a more boyish rugged look. Not sure if I'll do jeans with it or not, DS4 loves it so that is all that matters!
