I am so jealous! I have been looking for that tree fabric forever! My quilt shop has all the coordinating fabric, but not the trees! I think I would let her wear the skirt to school without the pettiskirt and save it for family dinner or something. Or Christmas card pictures! How cute would that be?

Me too! I've been on a serious hunt for that fabric. No luck.

Lisa, JMHO but I think the pettiskirt highlights your work beautifully! Id def do the petti under it, my DD5 wears hers allllllllllllll the time to kindergarten(and if I could figgure out how to post, Id show her in it):lmao:
all th OTHER girls in her class have PETTI ENVY,:rotfl: its very obvious:rotfl2:
I love it PETTI ENVY where is the tag fairy when you need her? that is a perfect tag for this thread:goodvibes

Hey Cindee I'm in Fla too. Don't sit in the corner let's sit outside and sip lemonade and work on our tan.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm a Florida girl too..and boy my tan needs work. Come to my house and we can take a dip in the pool....I still have all of my floats out there, including a giant Nemo...LOL :rolleyes1

I finished DD's Decoupage set!! Thanks to everyone for all of the tips! I fused some pieces and pinned some too. I think next time I'll just pin as I go.

I've already washed and trimmed these! The top was sooo easy to do - I'll be making more of these sets!

Beautiful work, ladies! I'm jealous of your talent! I need to get a few Christmas outfits made for my prince and princess! Off to search ebay!

I LOVE THIS! Your daughter is sooo cute and the outfit is fantastic! Is that shirt made basically like a tshirt dress? I really love this outfit!

ok, got tickets for friday nights hannah montana concert. want to pick up a shirt for Anastasia to wear, then make a matching skirt. where are the shirts sold? Target? Thought they would be at walmart, but they wern't! Help

Lori

We got ours @ Justice, Libby Lu's, Disney Store, Limited Too may also have them. Have Fun.

Ok, I have to know, where can I get these cool outfits for Disney? My DD is 8 but the tree skirt would be great, along with some of the other not so kiddish outfits. We are going to WDW for Christmas and I just think the outfits would suit any Holiday occasion.
How do I find these on EBay?
TIA

I did a very quick appliqued sweatshirt for myself on Halloween morning. I didn't use stabilizer thinking the design was simple enough I wouldn't need it.... plus I'm cheap and I would have ended up using a large piece of stabilizer for a shirt I'll wear once or twice a year. I should have, though, because the applique edges were wavy even though I had my stitches spaced out more than I normally do on appliques. I did stabilize when I stitched around the eyes and mouth (I did a ghost) and that looked much better.

IF you don't want to use expensive stabiliser for something quick like this, a coffee filter will work well to stabilise and tear away easily. I've used them in a pinch.

THis is adorable! How did you do the top? Did you just add to a turtleneck and cut off the excess? I may have to make some of these for my dds!

You did a great job! And quickly! I really love the way it turned out.

search boutique minnie or boutique christmas, pretty much whatever you are looking for, maybe holiday instead or sometimes I'll just put in boutique girls and sift through the zillions, I also sometimes take out bows or necklace so I don't get too much of that to look through.

Ok, I failed buttonholes & zippers 101 :headache: My mother decided that my machine is too old and she took the princess bodices to my aunt who has the automatic buttonhole maker! I love my family!!!!

We did get this done without a zipper foot, but my mother had to do it since she has decades more experience than I! This is for dd7 to wear to CRT (her choice, not mine!) These are with my camcorder and not great! The mice are not appliqued, but iron-ons that I printed from clipart. I didn't want to do all the tiny applique work, so I cheated... sue me!!! Dd7 has been sick, so she didn't feel like putting it on for pics, especially since she's tried it on a dozen times for fittings today!!!

Well, I got one skirt made to see how it looks over the pettiskirt. I think it's pretty cute and just need to decide if I'm willing to let Zoe wear the pettiskirt to school or if we'll just keep it for special occasions.

The skirt with the pettiskirt:

I was thinking maybe she could wear the skirt and pettiskirt for the school's Christmas program until I noticed the program only seems to be for grades 2 through 5. That bites! I was really looking forward to going as were my sisters. :headache:

Love it! I got that fabric sitting here but not much to do with it. I just loved it though!

I need to vent....Gosh, I am so upset at our favorite auction site. I listed a yard of fabric a long time ago. Someone bid and won, and then decided not to pay. She's been telling me that she sent the check, and then she said 2 weeks later that she sent another check. Well...gee, guess what. 30 days later...no check. Big surprise.:sad2: So what does my nice buyer do, I left her neutral feedback, because she did keep in touch with me, I was trying to be nice, she decided to leave me a negative feedback for not taking paypal. I wish ebay would change their policies on that. If someone is a non payer, they should get negative feedback with out being able to retaliate (SP). It's just not fair. I work so hard to make all of my buyers happy, and then you get a loser like this...make's me angry...
Okay vent over...now we can get back to our regular programming of cute kids with just out of the bath hair, and cute outfits that we spent way too much time making...:rolleyes1

OH NOOO! That is SO not fair!
That would make me crazy because a lot of buyers rely on the positive feedback percentage! Is there anyone "there" you can talk to about this?

 You deserve 100% Positive.

You made my day!

Rub it in why don't yah!!! :sad2: The temperature here is 32 with a windchild or 25. :cold:
No hurt fellings....just bitter abour the cold here in Michigan!! ;)
Bitter cold :cold: AND rain :umbrella: It's not fair!!!! It's also snowing off and on. WHY WHY WHY??? Do we live here!!!??!!!

But, the tree in my front yard is FINALLY starting to get it's fall color! This has been such an odd year for that!
I've lurked here for a looong time. I LOVE your work! I have no girls, 3 boys that are too old for cute stuff and I don't sew, but I LOVE this thread:goodvibes

This christmas skirt is the cutest!!! Maybe her school will have a seperate program for the younger kids, ours does. Ours is just lower key and held during the day, but parents still dress up their little darlings! I hope they have something so she can wear that!!!

Katy
:welcome: You could always make something for yourself!

I would be happy to!! I can do it tomorrow while the girlies are in school...I have to figure out photobucket first, hopefully the curve isn't too steep! But for now, I'm going to bed....I've been struggling with my paper cutter, I think I need a new one, I can't get a straight line on a piece of paper to save my life....I've finally given up. I'll worry about it in the morning!

Night all!
Maggi
Thanks Maggi!!! I've never done anything like this, so any ideas I can get will be great!

Thanks for that tip! We have tons of coffee filters around here!

WAY WAY back at the beginning first 100 pages of this thread, there was a lot of discussion about what terms people use to search.

And, a lot of the ladies on here have their Ebay user ID in their signature, that's always a good place to start.

 That just stinks! I feel for you, it's just not fair that they can do that!:headache: Did they actually say in the feedback that they were leaving it because you didn't take Paypal?? Hopefully your buyers will take the time to read that, and realize it isn't a legitimate negative. :grouphug:
