Oh wow, he really looks like you in that picture! That turkey is the cutest, I love his button eyes!
I was laughing so hard my husband came to check on me. His only comment, it made national news? I said, well, Michigan anyway.
I VERY rarely have someone tell me either one of my kids look like me!! They both look so much like their Daddy, that's all I ever hear. So, thank you!!

Yes, we're very concerned with fish welfare up here in Michigan, being the Great Lakes State and all.

First off - HeatherSue- your turkey applique is adorable, as is Sawyer.

Second- okay I just have to vent and know you ladies will understand. My husband was able to get 2 txs to Hannah Montana, the only problem is we have 2 girls who would both love to go. How are we suppose to decide which one goes? These are company txs so that's all they would give out since everyone wants them. Good DH for getting the txs, BAD DH for getting only 2.

First- Thank you!!!
Second- Wow, I don't know how you can choose who goes and who stays!!
Third- I love the Nemo dress! I say go for appliqueing Nemo on it. It's not as scary as it seems!

She carried this HEAVY rocket ship on suspenders all over the neighborhood..."I'm a wocket!"

Now you know why I need that fabric!

Susan
Well, yeah, once you post that picture of her as Rocket, I'd say anyone who denies you Little Einsteins fabric is just heartless!

Geesh!!!! I would have to say either both go, or no one goes, but that's just how it would fly around here! Good luck with that one!

I think the bodice looks good as is, but I think "NEMO" would be cute down one of the white strips. Or maybe a Dory applique or something, JMO

I was at Hancock's today. NO Little Einstein's fabric here. I NEED it! I guess I'll wait and go back in a week and see if it's there. Or I'll BEG someone to get it for me.

Can I beg too? My Hancock left us, and I didn't see it online. I've got a friend who's little ones are Einstein crazy, and I'd love to see what I could figure out to do with this fabric for them!!!

Does this little guy look familiar?
I love the little turkey in you all's siggy, so I made him into an applique for Sawyer. This only took me about an hour to do. I just told myself I didn't care if I screwed stuff up, he'll only wear it a few times. Here's Sawyer wearing his new sweatshirt (he loves it and kept saying "gobble, gobble"):
And here he is busting a move:

love this shirt! he is adorable in it! Great applique work~!!!!!:cheer2:

Ohhhh this is soooo cute!!! Every Tuesday my DD9 and her friend (just turned 10) and I get together to sew. Well tonight we made little turkey pins inspired by your ohhhhsooooocuttteee :cutie: turkey shirt you made for Sawyer. (Oh and my DH was just drooling over your three car garage :rotfl2: )

Drum roll, please!?!?!?! Here are the pictures of the fabrics that I've gotten recently.

I got these on :wizard: from some guy in Asia. I love the Tink border fabric. I figure that I'll
mail it all to my good Dis Friend...twob4him......cause she really likes the fabric!!!!

Geee thanks soooo much for the loverly fabrics!!!! :rotfl2: ;)

Someone asked for an up close shot of the turkey applique...couldn't get the camera to cooperate w/the computer, so I just scanned it (color isn't quite true). REMEMBER...this was essentially my first applique - - curves are a booger aren't they?! I guess you just get better w/practice huh?

Not really in love with the "blank" spot on the yellow but I'm not sure what to put there?

He is such a doll!!!! Can I say that about a boy? Well, anyway he is!

I wonder if this guy has any Jasmine fabric? Can you PM me his info?
Of course you can call him a doll! He is! And WHAT personality!!! That boy just ooses charm!!!

I was thinking the same thing about that Jasmine fabric!

Oh Teresa, I was crying reading your reply to me. It WAS a scary time!! I really thought I could die and here I have these 2 precious babies, a wonderful family, a wonderful life. I am so thankful for every day now- even when I feel awful! I love you!!!!

I'm sorry mom and dad didn't take any pictures of you!! I've thought about giving you some of my baby pictures and letting you say they were of you! Our parents weren't too good about taking pictures of us at all, but you really got shorted in the baby picture department!

No, he could not BE any cuter! That kid just melts my heart!
I love you too!

Very funny about the pictures though! Yes, I could just say that you are me! I mean, who would know the difference, since there are no pictures to prove otherwise!

Oh wow, he really looks like you in that picture! That turkey is the cutest, I love his button eyes!

1) Ok!
2) Yes, someone needs to teach her now!
3) I am excited for you!
4) My sister has hardly any baby pictures either. They tell her that our dad was in Vietnam when I was born so they took lots and he was home when she came around so they knew what she looked like and didn't take any. It's a shame, because she was a beautiful baby (red hair, blue eyes, very much like Lydia)
5) No, he could not be any cuter! I just want to pinch his cheeks!

Love that Tink! Megan told me the other day that Little Einsteins is for babies. I couldn't believe it!

I was laughing so hard my husband came to check on me. His only comment, it made national news? I said, well, Michigan anyway.
1. YEAH!! Bring the family!
4. I was thinking, "Sounds like Lyddy." when I read your description of your sister!
5. Well, hopeully you will get a chance to do that in May!

What? :confused3 You don't get the big news from Southwest Michigan there in Palm Harbor? :confused3

Thirdly - here is the girls nemo dresses. I'm not really happy with them but since I made DS something with Nemo and I already had the fabric they wanted something too. I think I am going to attempt a Nemo applique on the front, I'm not afraid of simple appliques but this one scares me a little. Anyone have any other ideas that I could put on the bodice?
disboutique095.jpg

Lastly - There are some super cute Little Einstein jeans and a rugby style shirt at Target for boys. I didn't buy them since my kids don't watch that but I did get a cute LS gray shirt with Mickey and Pluto for $7. They also have LE outfits for girls with skirts and leggings underneath.
Could you draw names for the tickets? I would do something really special for the other daughter that night too. That's a tough situation, but two of you BETTER go!

ETA: Is there anyone that you trust that is allready going to the concert that you could talk into taking both girls?

The dress is really cute! I would add some ric rac to it.

Susan
That is so cute!!! Is that her mom? She is GORGEOUS!
I VERY rarely have someone tell me either one of my kids look like me!! They both look so much like their Daddy, that's all I ever hear. So, thank you!!
At least my kids look like you!
Yes, we're very concerned with fish welfare up here in Michigan, being the Great Lakes State and all.
You knew that would get me!

HEY HEATHER!!!

I like your new siggy picture!!!! Mom made those dresses for us.(I know YOU know that, I'm telling eveyone else!) I was SOOO proud to wear those! I remember carrying you around the Kingdom Hall while you were wearing that, just wanting everyone to notice how cute we looked!

I am OFFICIALLY excited now!  We leave for our Thanksgiving trip (Actually our very first trip to DW as a family!) in 8 days and the outfits are complete! :cheer2: These outfits are my pride and joy these days as I have never appliqued or any of this before! (I made the Epcot and turkey ones - other one is from that auction place) I was so excited that I took my dd to have her pictures in them before they get "messed up"! What do you think? I was really excited about the "pilgrim-y" look of the apron dress turkey since we'll be eating Thanksgiving dinner at the Fort!

These are fantastic! Great job on the applique, I'd never know it was your first time! Very creative too to put in the hidden Mickey's!

Guess what I got for $50??????? Can yah guess, can yah??? HMMMMM........should I tell yah??????? Yah, .......

A serger!!!! It's the Singer one, and I've heard they aren't as good, but for $50 I thought I'd give it a try! Laura (the Seamstress) told me about a dispaly model that was collecting dust at a Walmart near us. So, I called and talked to the fabric department manager, who then talked to the store manager. She just wanted it gone, so she talked the manager into letting me have it for $50!!!! I haven't actually tried it out yet though. But, it does come with a little DVD that I have started watching. Now, what can I do with this machine????

WooHoo! : How fantastic is that! What a steal! Now, please hurry and figure out how to use it and tell me if y ou like it since I'm asking for a serger for Christmas but don't know what brand to ask for!

I haven't been on here in a few days and I'm not going to attempt to go back and read everything. But, of course I have to comment on some of my sister's comments because I love her best. If anyone was wondering, I'm feeling good! If you weren't wondering, TOO BAD!

AWW....I missed out on so much! Look at these gorgeous girls with their daddy!! I can't believe these pictures were taken almost 2 years ago!!

Yup, we very rarely faught as kids- especially physically. But, I think it was CampingGriswalds that made a really good point. My mom didn't LET us fight!

I know what you can do with that machine, give it to your sister!!

WOO-HOO :woohoo: about seeing your ds and dgd for Thanksgiving. How sad they won't be able to go to WDW with you, though. Yes, you will definitely HAVE to go in May, perhaps sometime between May 3- May 17!!!

Glad you're back Heather! Sorry to hear you were not feeling well but I'm glad you're doing better today!

:lmao: Zuma is a euro style pant pattern by studio tantrum(Farbenmixx?) umm, let me see if I can find a pic....
Here ya go...
This is a pic of an outfit I found :confused3 somewhere:wizard: that I would NEVER *caugh* dream of CASEing.
th_m_20a4a745aed52e8136febf62da243631.jpg

and here is another pic of some zuma pants I found (front view...one w/ no kids faces!!:) )

th_m_662a896b3781c58df4ca478d5d109675.jpg

Really I should just shell out the $10 for the pattern...but I'm cheap, not to mention broke ( I can't wait till my new job starts) so I thought I'd see if some clever craftster has figured it out yet.

...t.

yeah, I don't know why you would CASE those absolutely horrible pants, I really don't like them at all, and I'm definitely not going to look for them after I get done with this response, Yuck!:rotfl2: :

Too cute! My girls love the Little Einsteins too! Did you make the costume, it is adorable!

Great job, really great up close too!

There were more bananas and other smilies in this post but I went over the number of images allowed! Sorry for not having three!

I really like the dress. I think the iron on Nemo would be cute, but I don't think its needing anything else.

I also agree with what someone else said, is there someone you trust that also got tickets that could take your girls in? You could wait with them outside until the concert starts, and then be right there when it's over???

For all of you Little Einsteins fans, I know I saw cool sheets on Voldemort a little while ago of Little Einsteins. It was a very cute white background with all of the kids in Rocket. I think I found it under fabric or Disney fabric, or sheets maybe??

I'm absolutley exhausted but I just had to get online and say a HUGE THANK YOU!!! to everyone who sent a little something to Miss Ireland. I got the mail this evening, right before she went to bed. She was so happy, she was jumping up and down. I'm sure you all don't know,, but she doesn't have a father in her life, and her only other relative that shows her any attention, other than me, is my mother, and she's the one who let her ride her bike unsupervised...do you see where I'm going with this?... So she has never received any mail before that was just for her. She is over the moon. She has all of the cards in the envelopes, under her pillow.
There is also a special thank you to someone who went over the top, I will be sending you a photo of Ireland with her new little friend. She loves it, and since this is her first one, we will have to get online and figure it out, together. Thank you again everyone. Your kindness made me cry. It's amazing how something like a computer, can bring us all together as friends.
Thanks again! -Lisa

I just finished a simple little T shirt dress. I am going to add something to the shirt, and maybe some ribbon on the sleeves. I have three other Tinker Bell fabrics coming, but they wont be here in time, I was going to make a stripe twirly dress with them but oh well. when they come right? Georgia loves it , even if it is super simple!

Aww, that is so sweet! I hope the mail made her feel better!

Thanks for the replies everyone about the dress and HM issue.
Unfortunately my DH has to go because he is taking a client and his daughter (I think they might be a little upset if he cancelled). He took my older DD to a KU bball game so I think the younger one might get to go to HM (probably not fair in older DD eyes but what's one to do).

Okay here is my Nemo applique. I did a shirt for DS first, it's not quite finished yet (don't know if I'll finish it) the lines on the fins need to be hand stitched in and around the mouth. I also might redo the eyes with white around the outside. I definitely will NOT be using these on the dresses. There is just too much black since that is how NEMO is outlined. I WILL be making a trip to Joann's to find the iron on patches. Since I show the good, I will also show the bad.
