ok, SO I made the girls there NYE outfits and got some custom bows done for them!
Here it is....... but................
IMG_0170.jpg

For Nicholas should I do the black sparke fabric , or even do a NYE outfit for him. This material sparkles in the sun and is much nicer in person. But would that be tooo much. Maybe just a shirt in red with 2008 in plain black on it. Or just not worry about him. I am at an impass with this day and not sure if I should just not worry about the little guy. Also, what about putting sparkle mickeys on the tutu skirts. oh geesh, I have no idea what to do! I am sure I could think of something with time, but there is not much time left we leave in 9 days and I have to sew in secret now. THe girls are wondering what is with all the mickey outfits lately!

Sorry I haven't been around much, things are crazy with summary reports due at work for 25 kids, planning for Disney in a couple weeks, Christmas, oh and did I mention I need to join the psychic cars club? My van died on Saturday, like completely. We did get a new van, which I had been wanting, but now we have car payments again :sad2: At least it didn't happen on the way to Disney (we're driving) :scared1: .

I wanted to say I LOVE the quilts, they are amazing and now I want to make one, lol. I also wanted to find out if anyone had made the Laney Photo Handbag on YCMT? I was thinking about making it for the grandmas and wondered how difficult it was seeing as I'm still pretty new to sewing. Anyway, I have a couple creations to post, I'll take pics when I get home from work!

Hugs!

I found your special square! Nice, and those quilts are AMAZING! Wish I knew how to make one!

Talk about a small world. I live really close to you. I am on the other side of North High School going toward downtown. My mom was telling that Disneyland is getting stricter about what they allow as far as outside drinks and food that is carried in. Water bottles must be sealed and no sippy cups. I am in shock! When I went back in '05 they checked bags but seamed pretty lenient.:confused3

we haven't had any trouble with taking food we did get slighty into trouble with our potato salad. She wanted to know how we were planning on it. So I said with a fork.:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Finally she let us through and then I said to my hubby I should have told her I was planning on smearing it on my sandwich. I have not been told I could not bring the girls sippy cups into the park I see those things everywhere. I even bring my own sipper bottle for hubby and I. I will let you know how bad it is after this next trip. While on the subject does anyone know if you are allowed to have a ice chest in the hotel room. My twins have to have lactose free milk and dland doesn't serve it that I have seen.

We had a lot of fun and as soon as I get the other pics I will have a TON more to post!
So CUTE! :cutie: Great Pictures! These are my favorites!
Sorry I have been MIA the past few days. I did skim through the pages I missed and saw some AMAZING new things, but honestly, I have never seen anything on this board that isn't GREAT! You guys ROCK! I have so many things to get done before Christmas, and I just can't seen to get caught up, so my posting has suffered! Okay, time to VENT!!!!!! My DH and DD4 worked really hard decorating our yard. My DD4 put out our 2 deer, and manger scene, we aslo have 2 blow ups, but she loves to decorate for Christmas! Well, this morning someone decided they did not like what they had done and drove through our yard and destroyed everything! I knew she would be soooo upset, so I went out to see what actually had happened! Luckily there was only one blowup that was completely destroyed, but I managed to fix everything esle and put it back.   How could someone be so MEAN?:confused3 I am just glad that most everything was fixable and pray that it doesn't happen again! Okay, vent over. Thanks for listening, that is if you made it this far!:rotfl:
OKAY that is just plain mean! Kind of scary too that someone would drive through your yard.
Look Jessica! Our families could be twins!

I found the camera, and took some nice snowy pictures. Unfortunately, it's allready starting to melt, so it isn't as impressive as it was yesterday! I'm uploading them now.

I got my pictures uploaded of the snow storm.

First, this is what our yard looked like on Saturday afternoon. Although, to be honest these were not taken Saturday, they are from about a year ago! Isnt Lydia cute! :

And, then Sunday morning, it looked like this, but worse (seeing as how I couldn't find my camera until a little while ago, and the snow has started melting allready!):

Hey! Twinners!!!

Great Snow photos. Send some down to Georgia next time PLEASE! We Will take any kind of precipitation! The drought here is really bad.

I like those blue Disney Store shirts. We have the red ones. We wore them on three different trips and now DD and DS have outgrown them.

Well, I guess everyone is busy tonight! I have been dealing with my 2 kids for the past 4 hours!:scared1: My DD4 has asthma and it was really bad tonight!:scared: I gave her a breathing treatment and her inhaler several times and it just wasn't getting any better. I was preparing for an emergency room visit! Luckily I got her calm and she finally settled down, and is sleeping at the moment! We will see how long it lasts. My one year old has been screaming and wanting me to hold her for the past two hours! She went to sleep around six and woke up an hour later and I just got her back to sleep! I was planning on doing some sewing tonight but I am EXHAUSTED! Those two have worn me out!:faint:
So glad you didn't have to go to the ER. Take care.

Thank you! I do like those pics too! and yes it was mean and scary. My husband and I tried to figure out how they missed our house! We looked at the tire marks and they were very close to our garage! This proves my theory that they will give ANYONE a license in Florida! Even people who should NOT have one! Thank you and I too am glad I didn't have to make an ER visit! She is better today and I am sooo glad!

here is wendy's

Here is mine, it is huge for my california king bed
DSCF0794.jpg

Heh, I quoted my own quilt :rolleyes1 Mine is sewn but not done. I know there's still some of you sending squares and I don't have any Minnie Dot on mine which NEEDS to be. Mine is 13 squares by 13 squares and it's not quite big enough...so I'm still on the hunt for more squares. I want to do 2 more rows all the way around so it'll be as big as Mistys. Her's is 15 squares by 15 squares and it's HUGE. It took up my whole living room last night. You lose some with seam allowance. Notice (or not) that mine is off by as much as a half inch in some places but once it's tied, you won't be able to tell....hopefully! We started out placing her squares very carefully matching colors but my kids kept trying to walk by, jump over, run over etc. which was making me NUTS...so we started just randomly placing. I LOVE that she stuck one Sponge Bob in hers...look at the almost bottom on your left. CUTE, huh?

We had a lot of fun placing squares!!!! We step back and go, "WAIT!!! IT'S ALL WRONG!" and do sections over again...:sad2: One of us is OCD and the other is perfectionist...

I'm HOME!!!!!!!!
I missed you guys! But, I especially missed my mostly sane family. Plus, my fairly quiet, clean, not too many people in it, no puddles of dog pee on the carpet, house. What a horrible vacation!! We didn't do a darn thing because someone was sick every day we were there. But, I did get a few pictures of Tessa, Sawyer, and cousin Shylynn wearing their outfits I made. I didn't get a picture of the build-a-bears in their matching skirts, though. Just picture them in the skirts, with one little paw foot pointed.

Here's Tessa and Shylynn:

okay who is the OCD and who is the perfectionist ???:rotfl: i was also so exhausted my brain just shut down ...;)

So. . . Can this time of year get any busier?

Friday, I appliqued a shirt for DD, I cut out a pair of pants for DD, then cut out a shirt, pants and poncho for DD's new American Girl Doll, but I haven't sewn anything together. Then I made a Fleece pillow case and a Fleece Tie blanket.

Saturday, I cleaned the house and we had company.

Sunday, I made two more Fleece Tie Blankets for my nephews, one in Cars, and one with Mickey, but I forgot to take photos, then we packed up for my SIL's house. We had a dinner and a gift exchange. She left for Riverside California today.

Monday, I made a tie blanket for my other Nephew and ran some errands. THen we had a lovely Christmas Pageant at my DD's school. She was singing and it brought tears to my eyes! The kids did a great job and they were all so cute.

Today, I spent the day chaperoning her class on a field trip. We went to Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts. They have a really cool exhibit of Jim Henson and the Muppets! We saw a Puppet show too.

Whew! What a week! Hope you guys don't mind a little mini trip report here. With pics of the kids' customs, of course! This will be picture heavy and I'll have to split it into two posts, so bear with me, please!!

We flew down on Saturday, stayed the night at a nearby hotel, then headed to Disney first thing on Sunday so we'd have the whole day. It worked out great! Well, except that whole freezing/ice thing here in KC on Saturday. We live at the bottom of a big hill and I was so afraid we wouldn't make it off of our street to go to the airport. But we made it and our flight was on time and everything!
DW1.jpg

Day 1 (Sunday, Dec. 9)
We checked in first thing at All-Star Music and they actually had a room ready for us! We stayed in a Family Suite and it was so nice for the kids to have their own sleeping space! We did EPCOT for our first day. We also had Chef Mickey for dinner that night, so the kids wore their Minnie/Mickey outfits. Mickey and Minnie both made a big fuss over their outfits! It was so cool!

2.jpg

Day 2 - Monday
We did MGM and ate at Whispering Canyon. Again, tons of comments from Cast Members. So fun!

5.jpg

Day 3 - Tuesday
We did Magic Kingdom and the Christmas Party. I can't find any good pics of DD in her Christmas custom. Oh well. She slept in the stroller a majority of the night, anyway. Missed the parade and everything!
6.jpg

Day 4 - Wednesday
We slept in - recovering from the night before, then ate lunch at Kona, then headed to EPCOT for the afternoon.
7.jpg

Day 5 - Thursday
We had lunch reservations at Play-n-Dine, so we headed to MGM.

-- We'll call this the BEFORE photo.

All was well until about 1:00. Our lunch reservations weren't until 1:30, and we had a few minutes before we wanted to check in for lunch, so DD, DS and I stopped to watch a few minutes of the High School Musical show and DH headed to the bathroom. Well, the kiddos are dancing away, having a good old time, I get the camera out, go to try and snap a pic, then WHAM! DD falls flat on her face and then starts bawling her eyes out. She lifts up her head and blood is GUSHING EVERYWHERE! Oh my heck! I just froze. I was holding her face in my hands, trying to figure out where the blood was coming from, but I just couldn't DO anything. Yes, I am a nurse. But this was MY kid and I was sorta freaking out. A very nice couple saw what had happened and ran over to help, with napins and ice. So I finally figured out that she had busted her head open and most likely needed stitches. She had also busted up her bottom lip a good bit. Someone called the paramedics and they confirmed that she did need stiches, so they called the CentraCare van and we headed over there. She ended up getting dermabond, the liquid stitches, so I was really glad for that. As soon as she got her liquid stitches and some Ibuprofen, she was good to go. Kids are amazingly resilient. I just wish moms were, too, LOL. I still get heart palpitations when I think about it. She did great and was back to her normal self that evening. From then on out, DH and I started calling her Head Wound Harry. She was not amused by this at all, insisting she was "just Ella." Her outfit somehow survived with only a tiny smudge that I was able to get out with one of those Tide sticks.

So, needless to say, we didn't make our Play-n-Dine lunch and hadn't eaten all day, so after a little rest in our suite, we went to Downtown Disney to eat and shop a little.

Here's the AFTER photo:
10.jpg

The Doctor said we only had to leave the band-aid on for a few hours, but she wouldn't let us take it off.

Ok, I think that's it for the first installment. I'll try to come back and do the second installment tonight after the kids are in bed!

The pictures are so cute! and the outfits I LOVE! It is so different to actually see them on in the parks! Sorry about DD, she still looks adorable with the little bandaid on!

Why thank you!

Ok, come on guys, we need some snow pictures! Leslie, I know you have some! Laura, where are you, I know you must have some too!

We you talking about me? I am fairly new here and I only posted a couple of times. Not sewing yet until after Christmas (my mom's getting me a machine for Christmas). If you are, I am in Connecticut. We had a few inches the other day but mostly ice. The whole yard is a skating ring. DH said it was going to rain soon so hopefully that will melt some of it. I literally park right in front of the stairs on the grass.:scared1: DH calls me tinkletoes during the winter months.:lmao:

Thank you!! I was thinking of looking you up and just coming to stay with you! LOL! :rotfl2: What? You didn't want a bunch of puking people in your house? We were almost stranded at the Phoenix airport overnight because of the snowstorms in Chicago on Saturday night. But, they just delayed our flight a few hours.

I am loving your mini-trip report so far! The Mickey nightgown is so cute! I wish I would have thought to make Tessa a matching nightgown with that fabric (Sawyer has pants). Your poor little girl!! Tessa had to get dermabonded a few days before she was going to be a flowergirl in a wedding. I feel for you, it must have been scary, especially when you're away from home! I still LOVE all of the outfits you made. Wow, do your kids ever look adorable!!
