Okay, this is not much, but it represents the fact that I have spent soooooo much time making pajama pants lately but I'm finally done!!!!   This Hello Kitty pair is for DDs friend who loves Hello Kitty. It reminds me of my childhood. This is the HK flannel I got a good deal on on :wizard: and the post office lost it for a while, then decided they had it after all. :confused3 I just bought a cheap T-shirt and removed the pocket, sewed on the kitty, ribbon and ric rac and sewed the pocket back on. It was surprisingly easy to get that pocket off and back on again. I was askeered. I'll post my Cinderella CAB outfit photos tomorrow. Today I made DD10 a Christmas peasant top, I made Bitty Baby a peasant top and some "bo-peep" bloomers (photos tomorrow), finished the HK pjs and made 2 reversible Christmas headbands. That is a lot for me so I'm proud of myself.

Now is this the neice that gives you a hard time and doesn't like anything? She is adorable and so is her brother (and their shirts!)
No, these are actually my BIL's girlfriends kids, better known as my GFIL's (girlfriends-in-law) kids. They call me aunt and I treat them like family even if they aren't officially family. I only have one "real" niece and she doesn't like customs. :confused3 I think she will be jealous when she sees these two at school tomorrow. Maybe she'll have a change of heart and want a shirt to wear on Christmas, or maybe I'm dreaming! :lmao:

Love all of the customs! Your kids are way too cute! So sorry to hear about the fall, our first trip to Disney my DD4 was about 18mo and she fell on the sidewalk and both of her knees were bloody. We had to go and get bandages and she would not walk for about 24hours! Glad she bounced back so quickly and you guys had so much fun!

DD's school hosted an Evening with Santa, games, cookies and hot chocolate. We got there at 6:00 (Santa was set to arrive at 6:30) and decided to start with the cake walk. DD didn't win and DS wanted to crawl around and check out all of the goodies. I wouldn't let him and he was not happy!! Next we went to the games - they had 4 different games set up in the gym. DS even got to play.

Waiting in line.

Hope everyone had a good week and I'm going to try to maybe catch up on the posts I missed, but I have a feeling it will take me a long time!

Glad your back and you guys had a great time!

Okay this multipost is soooo messed up!

twob4him- I agree....END TIMES! My husband and I were just discussing that we have NEVER had this happen until this year when we put out our manger scene! Coincidence? I doubt it! And my DD4 is much better tonite! Thanks everyone for your concern!

t_ Glad you like the pics and that your job is going so well! And give yourself a break.....I NEVER worry about weight during the holidays, that is what New years resolutions are for!

HELP!!!!! I am looking for a picture of the Triangle christmas tree shirts, I know stephres made one and others did too. I can't find them in the photobucket account and I have spent at least an hour and a half looking back at the posts to try and find it. AAAAAAAHHHHHHH I gotta get this shirt done ASAP- PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Oh thanks, sorry for complaining. It's just sore, so I have been putting Megan's Boo Boo Bear on it (kind of like an ice pack). As far as ailments go, it's really not bad, so I feel guilty for complaining. Maybe it's the cold weather making it worse lately! At least no snow!

Here is the dolly jacket. The pattern called for a 5 inch separating zipper, which I could not find. I decided that it didn't need to be closed, LOL!

Oh, this pose is for Lori, it's the best I could do!

th_100_2059.jpg
Lyddy and I loved this Steph! And Lydia knew right away what the doll was doing! She is also very jealous that Megan had an AG doll!

The jacket is soooo cute! However, I LOVE the pose! I just burst out laughing when I saw the doll doing the jojo pose!:rotfl2: :rotfl: I can't wait to make some clothes for DD4's new baby. However, I will have to do it later because she is already out of school!

I AM GETTING MY VERY OWN SEWING MACHINE FOR CHRISTMAS!   My husband ordered it and is supposedly getting it tomorrow! I have asked to get it early so I can finish some of this sewing I need to do, but my DD4 says NO WAY! She wants to give it to me on Christmas day (she doesn't know that I know about it, she wants it to be a surprise!) I am just excited that I will have a machine of my very own!:cool1:

YEAH!!! Your own sewing machine!!!!

I'm HOME!!!!!!!!
I missed you guys! But, I especially missed my mostly sane family. Plus, my fairly quiet, clean, not too many people in it, no puddles of dog pee on the carpet, house. What a horrible vacation!! We didn't do a darn thing because someone was sick every day we were there. But, I did get a few pictures of Tessa, Sawyer, and cousin Shylynn wearing their outfits I made. I didn't get a picture of the build-a-bears in their matching skirts, though. Just picture them in the skirts, with one little paw foot pointed.

Here's Tessa and Shylynn:

Here's Sawyer on the trampoline:

And just 'cuz I thought it was cute:
th_Prettygirlsundertreesmall.jpg

Oh, you went somewhere? I didn't notice. :rotfl:

I MISSED YOU!!!!

These pictures are so adorable!!! Shylynn and Tessa look adorable in their matching outfits!!! I'm glad she loved them!

Whew! What a week! Hope you guys don't mind a
10.jpg

I'm glad you are back!! The Marie outfit looks even more adorable on Ella!!! I LOOOVE it! I'm sorry she got a boo boo in her Boo outfit! Poor baby, poor Mommy!

We you talking about me? I am fairly new here and I only posted a couple of times. Not sewing yet until after Christmas (my mom's getting me a machine for Christmas). If you are, I am in Connecticut. We had a few inches the other day but mostly ice. The whole yard is a skating ring. DH said it was going to rain soon so hopefully that will melt some of it. I literally park right in front of the stairs on the grass. DH calls me tinkletoes during the winter months.
I meant TheSeamstress, she lives about 20 miles from me. But, I would love to see any snow pictures you have too! And, since you are new, you need to post prom, senior picture, pregnancy, and wedding pictures too!

OK, TJ - here's you snow picture. I think we only got around a foot of snow, and some of it has melted.

IMG_2779.jpg

Thanks!!! Your yard looks so pretty! They say it will probably rain here on Saturday, and the snow will probably all melt! What a mess that is going to be!

PB180787.jpg

th_PB180787.jpg

don't have too many, don't know why. But also the most recent snow we had was about compacted into 2ft of ICE. YUCK!!!

Aww, your girls look so cute!!!!! TWO FEET of ice???? YUCK is right!

OK, I just ate my last cookie. Which kind of ticks me off. It wasn't that great of a cookie. If I'd have known it was my last I would have ate a better one. I just saw a picture B posted on his myspace page (www.myspace.com/workingclassproject) and OMG!!!! I have been thinking of walking to work but it's been in the upper 40's at 7 in the morning these last few days, so I was waiting for it to warm up. NO MORE!!! I can not continue to eat the way I've been. Being totally broke and having tons of carbs (hey, pasta's cheap) around the house has made me a major sugar junkie and I've been shrugging it off cause I'm too poor to fill my house w/ much else. Not to mention there hasn't really been enough food in the house to eat as frequently as neccessary. But I HAVE to be done with the excuses. I almost burst into tears when I saw it.

At my new job at the bloodbank there is ALWAYS food around. They keep cookies and cheese and whatever else available for donors. They bake the cookies fresh every morning (in one of those Ottis Spunkmeyer ovens) Not to mention an endless pot of coffee which would be fine except they have regular (not fat free) creamer and regular sugar which I have thought nothing of dumping in my coffee. A couple of the girls have dared me to NOT gain weight after starting let alone lose it and they have been less than helpful, but nowI see that I can not afford to gain a few so I have got to be VERY careful. UGH, I am just SO UGH...

...t.

You can do it T! But, don't be so hard on yourself!

I think they are under Non-Disney/Christmas and winter. I'm only seeing Tom's there though.

Yep thats the one I found too, and I also saw the ribbon one but this shirt is for my boy and I don't want to waste my time making something my husband would never let him leave the house in!!! :lmao: Even though it would look really pretty on him:rotfl2: :rotfl2: So you are up late too TJ.... Again.... are the girlys up too?? That seems to be the ONLY time I get to myself!! I got some more pj pants cut out and a skirt for my cousins dd and sewed the buttons on that blue jumper dress for dd. I also made a drawstring duffle out of an old pair of jeans- I found the idea in a library book. I plan to add some U of M (that's Minnesota by the way) patches and give it to my SIL and make another one for her boyfriend. I ordered the shirts to go with the pj pants then I have to put on Iron ons on them. They are supposed to be here friday. Has anyone else used jiffyshirts.com before?? We used them for our tie dyes and really liked them!!
It got to almost 30 here today- We still have a good 9 inches of snow on the ground from 2 weeks ago, from that last storm. And dd has been sick today-tuesday. She had a flu shot last week I don't know if they are related but ds and I aren't sick so I don't think that's it. I hope this bug doesn't linger or spread that would not be good- We have a busy week ahead of us.

By the way Heather- Avatar just for you :cool2: Glad you made it back alive from your "vacation", I'm sure everyone was getting better from there cold bugs right before you came home- :headache: Cute pictures of the gingy outfits.
I am about 10 pages behind- all of a sudden it got real chatty around here again and I missed it. DD did something to the keyboard yesterday and I thought I was going to have go to the mall  to the Apple store to buy a replacement- luckily it just needed to be reregistered -whatever- glad it just took a 30 min phone call to Apple support :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Like I had nothing better to do with my morning- And while trying to keep everyone happy and make sure dd didn't get sick all over the place  Yep very glad I didn't have to make a trip to the mall today!!! Thanks for letting me Rant...
And as far as the christmas cookies go, I left almost all of the ones we made over at my sisters place so they wouldn't be gone by christmas- good plan right?? The ones I did bring home were gone in like a day!!!
I scanned real quick- The quilt layouts look great. The Trip pictures our cute cute cute:cutie: :cutie: :cutie: - so sorry about the boo boo, looks like it didn't slow her down much!! Love the mickey santa heads. And glad to see I'm not the only one making a bunch of pj pants- I wish I was done. I'm going to try not to sew the wrong sides together like I have already done once- duh!!!
Quick story- I was at Target this week looking for a baby bed for dds new babies (she got twins for christmas) because they have to have a place to sleep too right- just like they need matching outfits and hair accessories. Then I started thinking about what clothes I should make for dds babies- Then reality hit me- HELLO dd is not even a year and a half she does not care if her babies have matching outfits and I think if I started making outfits just so I could change their clothes and match them with dd my dh would really start to wonder about me :rotfl: - But I still bought them their very own playpen to sleep in ;) and maybe I can make the clothes and save them a little while until she is older and cares that they have more then one set of clothes  Alright I better go to bed I'm getting nutty!!!

Oh I got playing in the snow pictures too- including my ds first snow angel- I'll upload those in the morning. NIGHT ALL!!!

Sorry I wasn't around last night!

I know I posted this last night or at least tried to, I guess I hit the wrong button or something :confused3
anyway, here is a picture of my girls with Santa at our sons boyscout Christmas party. This is the 3rd time meeting this Santa and the first time dd2 didn't scream and run away. No lap sitting but hey no screaming either.

also, GloriB so glad to hear dd is okay, but OUCHIE poor kiddo. And also LOVE the triangle tree shirts. cool idea.

Lori

Glorib: Sorry about your DD's head -- poor baby. I would have been freakish mess during that episode! Loved all the customs and I am going to remember your son's button-up shirts for our next trip -- too cute!! And, all of your DD's customs were beautiful but that Marie one is still my absolute favorite!!!! If I could applique worth anything, my DD would have one of those!!!

I haven't made one, but I don't think rice will cook unless it's added to water.

Just had to say that I LOVE all of the snow pics, but my DD4 is soooo jealous because she wants to play in the snow and make snow angels!!!!! She keeps asking her daddy if she will get to play in the snow, "even just one time".

I haven't made one but I have one I bought at the mall. It doesn't cook because there isn't any water in it.

It is warm and cozy and I use it when I get headaches. It helps get tension out of your shoulders too. If you make one or find directions to make one let us know how you do it.

I wanted to make the rice packs too - but when I tried, the rice STUNK!!!! I heard someone say use flax seed????? Any more ideas out there?

We also had a little Magical Moment. We were sitting by the fountain outside of the Castle and a Dream Squad member approached the kids and asked if they'd like to have some pixie dust and make a wish in the fountain. So they got to do that and then got Magical Moment certificates, signed by Snow White and all 7 dwarves! It was pretty cute!
Day 7 - Saturday
We spent most of the day at Animal Kingdom, then went to MK for the evening (to meet the princesses again), so two customs for this day. I also met a disboutiquer this day - Karen in TX? is that right? Anyway, she spotted DD's dress. Her DD was already getting on a ride, so I didn't get to see her, but Karen had a super cute Mickey Head top on!

Hope everyone had a good week and I'm going to try to maybe catch up on the posts I missed, but I have a feeling it will take me a long time!

oh I love that you got a Dream granted!

and this is my favorite outfit of all! I love them both!!!

I love this! We love hello kitty here! Great job!

I forgot to mention that when I gave my niece her gingerbread outfit, she said "Aunt Heather, I didn't know you were an artist!!" She was absolutely thrilled with it and I was absolutely thrilled with her reaction!

:welcome:BACK I am sorry you all were sick and didn't have such a good time. The outfits are adorable. Thank you again for helping me get the minnie dot fabric. I finally finished all three of them while you were gone. Take care and get some rest.
Did you post pictures of the minnie dot outfits? If so, I'm going to have to do some searching for them! Sawyer is sick again today. He keeps throwing up. Teresa can attest that he's pretty good at projectile vomiting (he did it at my mom's last night about 4 times before we could get him out of there).

Doesnt it figure.....someone always sick and then to come home to snow and airport delays....makes ya want to just stay home next time. :confused3 The outfits are just adorable and the girls look so pretty together. Sawyer is having a blast on the trampoline! :yay: I am so glad you are back....we missed ya here too!!!!
You're so sweet!

I just love the lights shining through the snow- how pretty!

I love seeing the kiddos all bundled up in their snow gear. So, which one had to go to the bathroom as soon as you put all that stuff on? :rotfl2:

OK, I just ate my last cookie. Which kind of ticks me off. It wasn't that great of a cookie. If I'd have known it was my last I would have ate a better one.

I know how you feel! I hate seeing the pictures of me from AZ. I really need to lose some weight. I keep putting it off, but I'm going to start Weight Watchers after new years. I always lose weight when I join and really put my mind to it.

They are so cute!!!! Great job on the shirts!

Super cute outfits, once again!! I love reading about your trip! I want to go so bad, especially after my dud of a vacation!

These are so cute! Congrats on being brave enough to remove that pocket!

By the way Heather- Avatar just for you :cool2: Glad you made it back alive from your "vacation", I'm sure everyone was getting better from there cold bugs right before you came home- :headache: Cute pictures of the gingy outfits.
WOO-HOO!!!! Love the avatar!!!

Sorry I wasn't around last night!
I missed these the first time. Your kids are just so adorable. It looks like they even like each other!

They look so pretty! I haven't taken Tessa to see Santa since she was 9 months old and Sawyer has never met him. What kind of mother am I, anyway?

rice pack help

Lori

I made a rice pack the REALLY easy way. I put just regular instant white rice in a ziploc bag and heated it in the microwave for a minute. It worked great! I've reused it quite a few times and it still works- no burnt rice or anything yet.

Thanks for the links, revrob. I'm in the process of putting them in the bookmarks under "non-clothing items" now.
