Snowing! It is cold here in WV, quite a shock to the system to go from mid 70s back to 40s. It was fun, I am ready to go back, but reality calls.

It was so fun, and not crowded. I really wanted to go to the world, but I couldn't, we are going in April. But I love the beach, too.

I love the beach pictures! It's a nasty snowy dark and gloomy day here. And, it's really foggy out.

Hi everyone Long time no sew

I've been away from the board for two months because life kind of bogged me down. My car has gone through such extensive (meaning expensive) repairs that we had to change our vacation. We were going to stay at Poly, lagoon view, but in the end decided to go back to Pop Century. We were a tad disappointed, but since we're still going, it's kind of hard to stay sad.

Anyway, I've still been sewing and will share, but not until I'm caught up on the thread (I'm 400 pages behind ).

I'm really feeling the crunch since we're four weeks from Christmas and less than 2 months from our trip. I think I can get everything done, but only time will tell. I haven't even started buying accessories yet though and really need to put my ebay shopping skills to good use

So thanks to everyone for continuing to share your creations, I've enjoyed trying to catch up and I'm glad to be back.

(Now who do I need to compliment to get a Christmas smiley for my sig?)

I just wanted to share my little sweeties with you all, hope it's not to late for thanksgiving photos-
You may recall I made this a while back, it was my first attempt at sewing after discovering all you wonderful people You should have seen the dust on my machine.

And a first for my dd- Piggy tails!!!!!! Her hair is finally long enough, well at least in the back!!

And a good picture of ds- Don't get to many of those anymore- so I get SO excited when I get a decent one- you know when there is no dirt or food AND you get a good smile not a fake one or a crazy face...... So here is my shameless post:

Come over to my house, we have plenty of little toys lying around the house you could have! Hmm, I think Lydia might have left her Eye Spy bag at my Mom's yesterday. I bought some giraffe fabric at Joanns on clearance the other day to make some more.

I'm loving those pigtails! It's exciting when the little girls get hair long enough to do something with, isn't it! She looks adorable!

Your son is TOOOO cute!!! Look at those eyes!!! WOW! I bet the girls are allready after him!

well mayson is finally asleep he has a lil bit of a fever , Thanks Wendy . i am gonna hit the hay and put this lil man to bed.

okay, I have used heatnbond to iron on things but they keep coming off at the edges after washing, what am I doing wrong?

I'm definitely not an expert (I've only used Heat'n'Bond once), but on my package, it says that it's machine washable *after* you seal the edges with paint or with stitching. Are your edges finished in some way? If it's *only* ironed on, I don't think it is considered washable.

Hello everyone! Just got back from a Thanksgiving beach trip! It was so fun! I don't think I will ever get caught up reading all the posts! Here are some outfits I have been working on.

This is for my youngest, who is 6. I think I am going to add sleeves to the top, though. I don't know.

This is for my oldest, 9. I made the tshirt with an iron on from WM, it is the fuzzy type.

I Love these!! I've had my eye on that snowman/joy fabric for awhile. Do you think it could be worn after Christmas too? I'll have to check out the iron on transfers too!

Love all your stuff! I like that you did the beads instead of rice in your bags. I have made my DS's (used rice) and fixing to do my DD's. I think I am going to CASE the bead the idea!!! I also looooooooooove that Marie outfit. Parker looooooves Marie and she would looooove that! I am going to have to see about finding some of that fabric!

I had seen someone posted earlier that she made a peasant top in a half hour, and I don't seem to be able to get anything done in a half hour!

I don't know if the snow/joy fabric is for after Christmas, it also has noel on it, too, and candy canes. But the snowmen fabric should be okay.

I don't have the time to comment on everyones creations but they are all amazing. I guess I am going to have to buy the YCMT portrait peasant top - I really like what some of you have done with that pattern.

I finally got caught up from our trip. I'm going to try to get pics uploaded this afternoon. I have to get them off the laptop first & uploading them may take all afternoon, but I'm trying.

Everyone's stuff has been great. I can't wait to get sewing again. I got a ton of fabric Black Friday at JoAnn's, but not as much as I would have liked because the flannel was almost completely wiped out when I got there. I got lots of classic pooh though & some flannel for pjs.

I am so exhausted ! it was a long night Mayson's fever has broke now we are just laying in bed watching the AristoCats on disney channel, and i am praying he takes a nap because i need one bad...
No sewing for me only sleep

Three weeks till our vacation and I finally finished all our outfits. Most are pretty basic compared to things others make, but it's the style my family likes.

Here are a few:

The hand painted (not by me) shirts for our Ohana's breakfast:

The boys' cars outfits:

dd's minnie outfit (ignore the snotty look that seems to be a permanent feature lately!)

Their shirts for Animal Kingdom:

and finally the prince and princess outfits for breakfast at the castle. Ds5 said he was not a prince and wanted one that said so since ds1's said he was a prince :

and ds1 who didn't want to sit anymore (the bottom of the shirt says kisses welcome since ds is such a flirt):

Another day when they are in better moods I'll get pictures of the rest of the outfits to post.

Now off to make the pajamas I promised for Xmas!!

It's funny that you mentioned a snotty look on your DD's face, i did not even think that, isn't it funny how as mom's we notice things differently than other's

LOL!! I was just thinking the same thing!!

Oh My Sweet Lord!! DD got her ballet recital costume today!! They are the sweetest, prettiest ever!! Now I know you are all thinking, come on...it's just a ballet costume! So I will include a picture of last year's costume. We are in a different studio this year and it is a world of difference...much more organized! Last year the girls danced to Beauty and the beast and Be My Guest for tap. The teacher didn't order the costumes early enough and her first choice was sold out so this is what we wound up with!! These pictures don't do it justice, it's a VERY bright canary yellow (one of the moms called it Big Bird Yellow!!) But the girls loved them and that's what matters...

Now here are this years!! We didn't know they were coming in. We didn't even know what the would look like. Still not sure what they are dancing to - recital isn't until April/May. The tutu is seperate for 2 different looks. Can you guess what princess she is?!

Her korkers even matched!! OK enough of my SHAMELESS posting, but I was sooo happy with the costume!!
